@@nithinbhandari3075 training a large language model takes hyper cluster once u did it the extract can run on low power hardware like pc Mobil etc. There are tutorials on how to do and it's a basic task for most college level students .

I also run LLM on local machine or services like runpod (where i buy server for few hours),
7 billion parameters model can be run on our own machine.
But 165B parameters model (chat gpt is 165B parameter modal) takes atleast 700 GB VRAM.
And per A100 cost 10 LPA and have 80 GB of VRAM. So it cost more than a crore. And add RAM and electricity. (Hardware cost is for around 5 years)
Ya small model like 7B can run on some device like RTX 4060 which has 8 GB VRAM.
If you want you can go to hugging face, try llama 2 7b or bloom 7b etc.
Just saying, please don't take it seriously.
Ya but for training even a small model take great amount of hardware.

it took me 3 years to finally come to linux 24x7, it always takes time to switch. but i use still run softwares on windows which are not available for linux. secondly we need hardware like raspberry pi in primary schools so that children have no choice but to learn.

I tried to use linux but it wasn't compatible with my laptop. I tried 5-6 distro but everyone of them came with new problems.
But the major problem was that when I wake my laptop from sleep, it's cooling fan doesn't turn on, even when the temperature goes high.
I didn't want to sacrifice my laptop's hardware so I came back to Windows.
But I liked Linux Mint environment. I will try linux again when I change my laptop.
