How can a process including 4 stages of energy conversion can be more efficient than single stage.
As in case of disel truck, power goes from engine to wheel but in this case first power goes to generator from engine, then from generator to battery (charging and discharging too), then from motor to wheel....
And now looking for the best case the efficiency of motor and generator up to 95% and charging/discharging up too 99%(no process can be 100 percent efficient).... So in this case total efficiency drop will be. .95*.95*.99= 11% efficiency drop...
And still it will be more efficient than direct transmission disel engine.....
Can you show me some calculations or the link of the study which proves it more efficient....
It's simply really take any ice engine it will only be efficient in one RPM & TORQUE , Only one very narrow operation band it will give you the best conversion efficiency of fuel to rotational energy. In real world it's almost impossible to keep the engine in this band for majority of the operation .You always have to change the RPM and change the load that is why we have an accelerator and gearbox trying to match the best we can . In this design the same as a locomotive engine just runs with fixed RPM & torque as load is a generator with fixed output. So if you are driving an engine at fixed RPM and fixed torque it will give you the most energy per litre of fuel consumed . So you get most of the fuel possible all the time then you add regen breaking so if u are only recovering 25% of acceleration energy it Still means that every four break application gives you one acceleration for free which is the most energy intensive part of heavy vehicles . In engineering its called Decoupling for improving efficiency. You can see that in generator that we use for household there are many new generator that are inverter generator and they have more efficiency even though they have more conversion

03:55 I didn't understand series hybrid. If battery is fully discharged and the truck has to move immediately then how would it move because engine is not directly connected to drive train?
Gen power will drive the motor first then surplus goes to the battery

@@Bhakt-TheDevotee no it will just drive u at slow speed until battery fills up then u will get full power .gen needs to run one hr to full charge the battery & truck will take 2 hr to discharge it only issue is spikes r brutal that is why battery is important

@@AnupamVipul The operation logic is that the Truck is an electric truck. The Diesel Generator is only a back-up charger for the batteries. Under normal operation, the batteries drive the e-axles. When the batteries are drained to about 20% to 50%, or whatever they set it to, the Diesel Generator turns on to charge the batteries to 80%. That is all, while the batteries are still driving the e-axles normally.
CNG Is the best option because CNG is most purifying natural gas and environment friendly & out of these, CO2 is the least amount 👍🤞🤞👍And the best thing about CNG is that we can make it from Vajra material too❤❤❤
