The overall casting quality is well above the three I have built over the years, the sharpness on the detail has improved too. The rear body half sections used to have a slip mark along the top corner if I remember correctly. Almost fancy building another but I must resist....for now :D
If you spray a ton of release agent in the mold you will lose detail for sure... It's really a shame that it took so many years before someone teached them how to use release agent properly. Now they only have to learn how to key a mold in the correct way so mold slips are no issue anymore. Then they are on the same level as the average resin manufacturers... Thanks for the video, always great to see such a monster
Do you even know the scale of their manufacturing compared to any other company, how much they produce by comparison? How large the moulds are they use? The warlord is likely cast in one mould, one, with other parts or other whole miniatures on the same mould. You’re not even close to comparing like for like. Forgeworld manufacture on an industrial scale, not single wearhouse/garden shed/garage scale. I have purchased the creature caster Necromancer dragon when was up for preorder last year. Has two large mould slips in it. If a company as (comparatively) small compared to forgeworld can have such a mould issue, then a much larger company would only have more...being larger and having more scope for possible errors/defects. But I’m sure you considered this is your response.
@@bobbobington8164 I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. Your saying it's okay for FW to charge more money for more QC issues? Or that it's okay to have so many QC issues because they make more? Have you purchased anything from Artel W or heresy lab ? I'm hard pressed to find faults with them. My FW stuff has definitely not been as good, but it's not like they're "terrible". I'm not comparing the really huge stuff because so few companies do that so I give GW a bit of a pass on that. I'm talking figure sized stuff and contemptor or leviathan weapons and the like. The problem is they charge considerably more for . . . well really the name, I guess. Never bought anything from creature caster so idk about them.
@@quasistellar I’m saying that when you’re manufacturing more there are more opportunities for issues...it’s pretty much that simple. As for Artel W, you have to wait weeks of not months for your items. They aren’t in the same league for level of manufacture. This is why I gave the example I did of creature caster. They first came on the scene and no issues at all with casting. Everything was perfect, but also took weeks. They’re now much larger, still not GW scale, but now are having casting issues, mould slips and such. It comes with the territory.
Forge world has come a long way. I remember the old kits. The casting was usually terrible. Very tempted to order one seeing what they’re like 20 years later. Had a 14 year break from the hobby
@@Sup3rSaiy3n thank you, been watching a lot of your videos. Ordered alot of paints brushes an kits to get me back in the swing. When I stopped foundation paints had just come out.. A lot has changed
For the cabling for that specific weapon: could you attach it to the gun and then bend the end attaching to the body so it sits in the socket? (I’ve never worked with resin so I don’t know how well a cable retains shape)
There now £365 now :( glad I got mine last Christmas it's nuts I remember when they were £250 but still amazing kit and my favourite Titan even if the feet are an absolute nightmare to put together lol
but who will pair up with the lucius?? is that like the kid who gets picked last or is he like ''the third wheel/leg or something'' :-) maybe the smaller children astry and porphy do wanna play with their big sister lucy.
Absolutely impressive! 👍🏻 But indeed, it’s about time they renew their instructions sheets.
Lovely kit really looking forward to putting mine together as well as my warlord
Quality of the cast looks great! FW stepping up their game, way less slips than I'm used to seeing.
Just got mine and opened it and there is so many mold slips
I think this is a brilliant model. I can see what my money would get me with this review of the Titan kit.. I seriously want one. 👍

It's frustrating that their sculptors are so talented, but when it comes to the moulds and resin itself they really are behind the times.

Ooh, looking forward to seeing what weapons you got for this one
So is the Titans march
Love the Warhound!! I miss the Lucius pattern

Welcome back! Yeh completely agree. The kits over the past year and a half have been sublime.

Jesus, your going Titan mad. I approve completely 👍👌

Yo I just got one from Warhammer world in Nottingham for my birthday
Great model.
I wish they would bring back the Lucius Pattern Warhound :(
this model was around $670 AUD earlier in the year, and now it is $840 AUD...

I hope to see you build it or paint it or at least show it off!
This is my third one. I’ve showed the other two a fair bit on the channel.
Do you think you can still get a lucious pattern warhound at a reasonable price? or should you go for 3d printing
Cool model but don't like the way you have to pay extra for the weapons cool videos though
Appreciate the review but this just seems VERY underwhelming for the price.
17:58 lmao
Is this a second? Or is this an old unboxing? Oh. New. Right.
