I wonder if Vaseline would do the same thing? Marilyn Monroe supposedly used Vaseline as moisturizer before makeup application.

The lip balm is different because it has beeswax in it- that fills in the lines and locks in the moisture. Your eyelid already has oil ducts so Aquafor will only make your makeup crease.
