Just fantastic-the emotion, the drama, the expression and the musicality-these are the renditions by which all others must be judged-the benchmark in quality . Can't wait to see her in October at Tarrytown, NY.
This absolutely defines magnificence ! A truly beautiful woman in every sense, a voice so pure and captivating, a spectacular version of such a romantic song from Oliver ("Where is Love"), and the support of a violin that touches deep into my heart and mind as I recall the violin and musical talents of my father, who taught me the beauty of all music and the special beauty of the love songs of Broadway's best .... I will always feel his presence in this music so well performed here by Lea.
Gary Bushorr i agree totally. Well, apart from the romantic bit! Its about an orphan longing for the love of a mother! She's great though and this is a fantastic song.
I like this version, but I really like the simplicity of these two songs sung by Dionne Warwick in the 1960s. Especially Where is Love. You hear the childlike quality.
the way she utters every word is perfectly amazing......i really like her....such a treasure and philippines pride......
This woman is amazing.

Gary Bushorr ...Where Is Love isn't a romantic song. In the context of the play, it's sung by a child yearning for its mother.

@@kaneohe8290 in that case, an adult woman shouldn't be singing it.

Songs are often adapted. But no matter who sings this, it's a rather sad song and not a romantic one, thanks to the lyrics.
This performance really touched deep within my soul! Bravo Lea Salonga. You are the best!

I am almost certain that this was at Joe's Pub in New York City about 3 years ago - 2006.
Absolutely heart wrenching .....

i got carried away... 😞😔😥😓
I love her voice but I thought the music was too loud.
She has a nice voice, but has problems controlling volume. Quiet, then louder, then too loud, then...
You know who this is right? It was most likely the mic having trouble picking up her voice
Of course I know who it is. sheesh...
It did seem as though someone made an audio adjustment to the microphone about 3 secs into the song.
If you think this is amazing, look up Dionne Warwicks version. It will blow you away❤️
Lea ist super, aber das 2.Lied finde ich von Ruthie Henshall besser gesungen
Much as I like Lea's performances, particularly her Eponine, I think I prefer Jacq's Oliver, here: th-cam.com/video/DuXI7G-n63Q/w-d-xo.html
Lucy Clearwater's rendition is way better. This is only a performance. Lucy's is art.
Seems very off. Not her voice, but the singing to the instruments
