I tell you what. No joke. I was in prison for awhile and we actually had a concert in the gym one day. The guys played this song and man, it was amazing. Everybody was in a good mood, happy, laughing and singing along. This song just changed the mood of the yard for awhile. I mean it was great. The words and the sound of this song stayed in my mind for many months after that.....it was great. I mean, you just picture some woman that you really feel connected to slipping her black dress off onto the floor. It brought some temporary happiness to a place that wasn't typically very happy.
I'm glad music made you feel better. I know prison sucks. I been there. Getting her home and seeing that black dress hit the floor. Beats any drug I know of. Ain't nothing like a woman.

For everything that people think jails and prison is I actually found a lot of brotherhood inside. We all cut up and made jokes and watched Scarface and Tombstone on the TV in a cage. Old men that had been away from their wives for year's would sit there and sniff letters from home trying to get a whiff of perfume. And the Killers would sit in their bunks not even blinking or breathing, just lost souls dead to the world. Man it was good to smell fresh cut grass again when you get out.

Depression comes from your body and mind telling you deep down that you arent in the place you want to be and that you are unhappy of the current situation you are in your life. Hope you are able to focus on getting your life together. Work hard to make money and get a gym membership and work out to get your body right. Even though this is a song about breakup it really speaks right to my heart. I was engaged to a man that wasn't right for me (he was also atheist and I believe trying to convert me) and we ended up breaking up. Now that we aren't together I have gotten my life back together, really started living, and am in love with a wonderful man who shares the same belief in God that I do and who thanks him everyday for giving him someone like me, just like I do for him. I always thought that you could do things like that on your own, but I have found out since breaking up with my ex that I needed divine help. Now that I have that, and the man of my dreams, I have never been happier.
