    Jesus, I love that visuals, power and mostly the customization of electronics of that bike.

    Thanks for sharing. This is one thing I really like about the 2023, the race mode (without going into race pro) can be customized. Also, the 2023, you do not lose your comms. Please note, love the color of your bike.

    I wish my bmw dealer showed me that much detail, so thanks for that I know a bit more about pro modes, especially suspension

    Thanks for posting this! I have 1500 miles on my S1000RR and one trackday and I hadn't figured out how to mess with all the settings. Excited to try it out and set softer suspension with better throttle response!

    Great video - very informative and understandable. It also inspired me to start exploring race pro modes. I pretty much keep mine in dynamic which is fine but the rear shock is definitely a bit stiff for me so I'm going to try lowering that in a pro mode as demonstrated here.

      Thank you! Yes I definitely recommend playing with the suspension at the very least. Adjusting mine made the whole riding experience much better

    Me
    I had a Bren tune, pipe, air filter , etc.
    I then put it in race pro one. I also had minimum intervention on all safety. Although I did put a little traction control on. Throttle full on. Anti wheelie stuff, a little bit on. I have played with suspension and basically went with a little over half way. Engine braking is on low. I like two strokes.
    I haven’t said exactly what numbers I put into my S1000rr because I often adjust parameters up and down a tiny little bit. Depending on where I’m riding and my mood. Never really used my navigation. So it basically stays in race pro 1.
    Except if it’s raining.

    Great video explaining the modes. I haven’t found a video that clearly explains it without directly quoting the manual. I just got my mineral gray RR last week and I can’t put it down it’s so fun!

    Very nice tutorial. Very informative. Thank you.
    P.S. I have not even owned(or ridden) my first Motorcycle yet, and I already want this as my dream bike(Showed more of it when you FIRST bought it as well).

    Thanks Dragoness!!! Saved me from having to read the manual on this section. Very informative and well explained by Jeff! Look forward to learning a little more from all the Pro RR riders while I’m out there on my new ‘23S1KRR!
    I’m curious. Since this video was posted, how aggressive are your settings now? And what do you find yourself in the most?
    Thanks!

    Great help this video, bought a S1000RR sport this month. Tried messing with the screen etc but refused to look at the manual as I am a man and that would be unnatural. All sorted now 👍

    I use race modes pro 95% of the time, and it's very similar to how he set it. I have Mode 1 identical to "road" (according to the manual) except I set it to max power, which is still very neutered compared to a flashed ecu. I also have suspension settings at lowest or 2nd lowest, because my weight is under 200 lbs. It's annoying that you can't switch between pro modes and regular modes (rain, road, dynamic, race) while riding. It's also annoying that the s1k has that huge display but doesn't show the individual settings of each mode, like the wheelie control level, traction control, abs, etc., nor can you change those without going deep in the menu while the bike is stopped. The 2015+ r1 allows this and also shows you tc, abs, wheelie, etc., at ALL times on that tiny 5 in display, on the bottom row. As long as you know higher numbers mean more interaction from the bike, you can immediately see the status of all relevant parameters, and change them while riding.

    WOW started to watch this on my phone had to stop and watch this on my PC getting Jeff from BMW to go through these menus is insanely brilliant - I will be getting my hands on one of these beauties early next year this video so good is unreal thankyou for uploading this. Love the video! I personally ride Race pro mode constantly with all supports off. But ive been on two wheels for 30 plus years, and grew up not having any riding supports. Only con is, you lose the ability to connect your Bluetooth headset or phone to the bike like you can in the other modes.

    • @dragonessmoto
      @dragonessmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Will! Yes I am definitely not ready to ride with zero supports haha. I did notice that you do lose the ability to have navigation and other Bluetooth capabilities, so recently I have been riding constantly in Race Pro modes until I need the navigation. Thanks for watching!

    Dumb questions.
    So if wheelie control is set on minimum (1) it still save you if by mistake you do a power wheelie and remain with throttle on? It lifts you up at an specific angle then the electronics came by to stop the throttle to put the front wheel down ?
    And about the front & rear suspension settings, can you explain better, please, if I’m not wrong - lower amount is for bumpy road and higher for good road condition (highway / race track) ?

    In standard s1000rr does the race mode is adjustable? Standard means the model without ddc and race pro modes

  • @blagramada8842
    @blagramada8842 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question
    How did you feel after you changed your DDC to all 1’s?
    And have you kept it that way?
    I’m trying it out myself
    Thanks 🙏

    • @dragonessmoto
      @dragonessmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I've kept it the same way so far! I like how it feels but I am probably going to play around with it some more to see if there are any other configurations that I also like. It's cool having the option to mess with the DDC, but there are A LOT of options and it can get overwhelming haha. Thanks for watching 😊

    Do you ever miss the comfort of your Street triple ?

    • @dragonessmoto
      @dragonessmoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the seat and the position on the ST, but I find this bike more comfortable to ride on the freeway because of the wind protection. I still have my Street Triple, so I can always flip flop between the two 😃

    You are a very inexperienced rider! You should NEVER use Race pro on the street, you dont even dare to rev the bike to 15k. Buy slicks and learn to ride on the racetrack first....

      You can customize race pro mods like a rain mode.. The naming are misunderstanding a little..
