My name is Ritik. I am a subscriber of your channel. You said you never heard/seen any racism with you or anybody else. I am working here for almost for 2 years and I have worked for different companies at different roles. I am saying this out of my personal and other people’s experience who are not students nor immigrants but locals and even not *Punjabies* that they have faced criticism for good work from a particular section of society like general public I don’t want to mention the store or company name because I don’t wanna spoil anyone image. Conclusion is that the retail industry workers witnesses a high percentage of racism in Canada 🇨🇦

I am a lawyer in Ontario. I can confirm that Canada has become increasingly racist. I have many clients coming in who have faced it. The crime has also gone through the roof in recent years.
Additionally, most of the new immigrants are offfered blue collared jobs such as a factory worker, barista etc. Most of my friends started their first job in Caada by doing menial jobs. That's the truth because no one wants to hire because lack of Canadian experience.

Yes Gursahib, please make a video on alternative ways of earning money while still studying as an international student in Canada, especially in Vancouver.. I'm worried about my son who is pursuing a two year MBA course in university in Vancouver in July intake (moved from Delhi, India) but hasn't been able to find a suitable/decent job.
Why were you expecting that he will be able to find a job and pay his tuition fees ? You should have saved 2 years of education funds before making that move. So much info is out there now so if you are still making mistakes ...its on you .

If you don't speak French, you will find that inclusiveness goes out of the door. After 6 months of arrival, Quebec government will serve new immigrants in French only unless it is health related. Starting in 2024, out-of-province Canadians will have their tuition doubled in the 3 English universities in Quebec.

My own view to add to this, for readers:
Crime: 100% correct. You can not completely eradicate crime from any society, same is true for Canada. In India we face discrimination, crime, and racism as Indians in our own country. Relations with India and Canada are not great right now, and India wouldn't want to lose its own future taxpayers to Canada, or to have the parents pay Canadian education institutes instead of Indian. So degrading Canada helps India :)
Influence from Movie: Totally correct, movies played a big role in brainwashing Indians from going out of India, so they had to show how bad or tough life is in Western countries.
Hard Work: Again VERY true. You come to Canada not to earn and send money back like people do in the Gulf states. It's way too far from India, so better to come here to build your life here. North American culture values hard, expert work, and Indians generally want to do jugaad and not invest into becoming an expert. You have to keep working hard until you retire.
Education: Primary education is free in public education, so for about 14 years you don't have to pay the fees. Instead, you invest in an RESP where the government also contributes, which you'll use for college/university fees later. And then the students can take government-provided education loans which are mortgage-free, low interest, and are given to a wide range of qualifying people.
Settlement: You're tight. It takes 2-3 years to find your ground in a new country after you uproot yourself from your home country. Perhaps the "Insta" generation expects Instant results, but that's not how life works. You can't grow a tree overnight that usually takes years to grow.

I am sorry sir, please don't sell a dream to prospective immigrants who are not aware of the downsides of the Canada. It is nearly impossible to settle down in Canada nowadays because Canada is in a recession and there's increasing reverse migration to India. People are regretting their decision to Canada.
So true ...also for students ...its 3 % chance that they will get PR ....so getting PR is difficult too. Trucking is also out of PR occupation now.

the thing you talked about tution fees that it is same for international and domestic students isn't true. Here in BC if you are a domestic student you have to pay $5k in KPU and $8K approx in ubc but for international students it's 25k approx for kpu and 55k approx for ubc.

Hi Please make video about the ways to earn money apart from survival jobs for international student. It takes a lot of time and energy to get survival jobs nowadays which can be saved and consumed in upskilling.
Mostly Indian are driving Uber or doing jobs in restaurantsor with odd jobs . Plz also tell about world no. 1 house bubble in Canada. Native Canadians hate south Asian due to south Asian thinking ( what you are saying in your vlog) . Canadian are thinking about saturation in Canada due to high number of international Indian students and Indian migrants. Correction** : PR status is not equal to work permit since PR status can be renewed indefinitely as long as the person spends 730 days in Canada within the last 5 years..Whereas people on work permit can only stay in the country as long as the permit is valid!
