Such a fun day as we leave the farm. We take Pearl our rescue horse that we got from the Navajo Reservation to her new home and wow what a great home she will have! We enjoy working with Prince Jack our donkey and Alan even gets to have him pull a cart and he drives! We stop at the local 4-H auction and see some cute kids with their cute pigs and goats! Just a fun busy Saturday - come along!

Words everyone should live by " if you don't mean it don't say it". My thoughts my whole life. Mules/donkeys not the same as horses so different training, handling methods are needed. 💘 🐎 🐐 🐂 🐖 🐕 🐔 🐱 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Great job with Jack, Moses. Alan may need a little more training though. 😂😂Pearl is such a pretty little girl. I'm glad that she is with Moses and Miss Polly.

Allen, now you need to get a new two wheel cart for prince Jack's to pull. I like 👍 to see 👀 you now take Vikie for a ride. I am glade to see 👀 Poeral is got a great trainer 👌 work with her. Ha, ha. I thought it would 🤔 be funny to take Prince 🤴 Jack through a drive through when ordering for food in twon.
So interesting. Here the kids go to their pig breeder and choose their piglets and buy right on the farm. This is true for all the 4H animals.
Nice job with Prince Jack, Please practice, watch this vid so you can remember all Moses was telling you. Less is more! ( I have driven trotters, buggies, and hay wagons with 2 to 3 abreast, and a stagecoach of 4, all have wider turning radius, have fun!

I think Prince Jack got really confused when you weren’t sure which reins to use. I agree that you need to take him out in a field to learn the reining. He looks good! 😊🙏🏻❤️

P. Jack might have a little yeast problem. A vet would see that under a microscope from a little scraping.

I use a T shaped stainless steel dog comb to pull out the short winter hair.( undercoat)
Curry combs work good but wont pull the short hair out.
The base undercoat coming out is what causes the itch.
Moses did a great job.

I love how you give channel space to kids , whether its 4-H, or sports, or participating 100% in some of your family outings, and especially the family rodeo, nice to see kids being KIDS! really nice to see the great attitudes they have, and no sour puss faces at the rodeo when the belt buckles are handed out to the winners. Such great training for their futures. I feel so sorry for city kids, suburb kids and those whose parents don't encourage them to do anything! I really had a great childhood, When not at school, I was always outside no matter the season. Ice skating on our pond till you couldn't feel your feet, building tree huts in a nearby cedar tree swamp, underground forts, tarzan swings at the spring fed swimming pond near our house, riding our bikes to the ocean in summer, just out there doing stuff all the time. So many kids never go out or have anything to do except be on their devices.......Not my idea of a good childhood. And, even more the boys nowadays are sissy because there are so many absent father's or awful step dads. No wonder young women are having a hard time finding decent guys to date OR marry. Our culture is in bad shape, EXCEPT in areas like where you are, on ranches and farms and places where kids get to be kids and learn so much in doing so.

I'm glad that Moses got Pearl. And Prince Jac is awesome. I chucked when you took over and how you were excited and got fumbled up in turning. That's ok. I was the same when I started. It was with a pony. I ran into everything. Take your time. It will come. Plus I could tell what Jac think. What is Moses doing? . I can hear is voice but what is he doing? He got me going all over. Lol the stick on the butt tap tap..they should call that mule motivator , or donkey driver..( on sale now 9.99 lol) but, have you ever noticed, people riding donkeys always have a donkey driver? But, i know how it works..lol its like when you want a child to do something, you apply pressure and " nag them " when they do it, you quit nagging..lol you release the pressure.. or.. they just do what ever they want .

Here in Southern Arizona pigs are a whole lot cheaper. Less than 100 dollars.

coppertox is great stuff but I found as the results of numerous farriers that turpentine works very well or keresene and either is much cheaper than coppertox.

Do you train peoples horses?? I have a horse that needs training, I don’t want to give up on him, but can’t find a trainer around me that is willing to take him.
Holy cow, when my two girls did 4-H the pigs cost $50. When they showed at the fair in July, at the auction the kids could make between $300-$800-$2400 for Grand Championship.

I think it's a trainer thing. I am pretty sure you could use any words.Since the Donkey/ Mule doesn't know the language you could teach them red means left and green means right and they would catch on. When they wanted to ofc because they are mule/ donkeys.
It's important work, farming...but I have to admit every time I think about "processing" I consider becoming a vegetarian.
