osu5inarow the speed they had was phenomenal. I agree that the SEC is tougher now than 10 years ago. Kentucky now vs 10 years ago is significantly better.

I know this is a 9 year old comment. But Demps and Rainey were faster in the parking lot without pads etc… football speed is different. Percy was faster in pads on the field.

In pads, I would go Demps, Harvin, then Rainey. Rainey was caught from behind numerous times in the open field at UF.
Every skill player from the gator roster from 07-09 ran a 4.4 or better if you weren't at least a sub 4.5 you were not touching the field period😂

This Florida team dominated in the SEC with their speed! I love watching Oregon, but their speed is deceptive because of their conference does not have as much speed as others. Proof is when they played Auburn and LSU. Man, Percy Harvin was the best player of that team. Tebow could not do much of anything after he left! Harvin would have won a Heisman or two if Tebow was not loved by the media so much, and I like Tebow. One of the greatest college players ever. Harvin is just way beyond amazing!

they beat alabama in the SEC championship 31-20 without percy in 08 (he was out on a sprained ankle because of Florida state) they were still the best team even without him. alabama just wanted it more in 09

If percy did play in the 2008 game they would of scored 50 points on bama that year considering we beat bama without him lol. Percy played in the natty against Oklahoma and in my opinion he was the part of the reason we won against them if we would of had him back in 2009 might would of beat bama again but will never know.

I know Chris Rainey is quick but Demps is literally OLYMPIC FAST. I feel like there were more runs Rainey broke away from people. However, Demps got caught in like, what, two or three runs tops. The rest he was flying. Doesn't surprise me that he was the fastest man in college football at one point. Props to Rainey though.

A great matchup would have been Florida vs. USC. Especially the Gators offense vs. Trojans defense. imagine the speed on both sides. Harvin, Demps, Moody etc vs. Maluluga, Cushing, Mays etc.

The biggest hype of the past year was probably John Brantley. He came as the anointed successor to Tebow and hailed as a good passer. All I have seen are short passes, overthrown passes, and bad judgment. He needs to get better next season.

Nice to see the Gators seniors go out in style. Admitedly the polecats weren't much of an opponent but nevertheless Florida put on a nicely balanced combined aerial and rushing attack. Cannot leave out the defense either who gave Coach Strong a nice tribute he can take with him to Louisville. Looking forward to another NC run next year with Brantley's aerial bombardment. It's GREAT to be a FLORIDA GATOR!!! ^^
