Any games you guys disagree with? Let me know!
Squirtell sure
Pro Sports Central Liberty was a FBS school when they beat Baylor
Squirtell Oh wait you’re right. My bad. I got it confused because they were granted FBS privilege in 2017
The one from 2017 should’ve been WSU upsetting usc
Didn’t Portland state beat the cougars a couple of years back? And Portland state is god awful
Kanas almost upset Nicholls state
LSU 4life I was at that game as I am a big KU fan, it was very painful for me, the hot dogs were 10 dollars
LOL so crazy how flip flop the big 12 is in basketball and football but funny comment Kansas football should be in division 3 hahaha
😂😂😂yeah that’s funny as hell!
LSU 4life Roll Tide
Hehe
NDSU is basically the Alabama of the FCS, they shouldn’t be considered a warmup game by anybody.
Alabama should play NDSU though. Biggest challenge Bama will face all season before the playoffs, and I'm not even a fan of either team.
I’m a fan of NDSU but I think they would lose because Alabama is just too good
@@garrettevans9193 i know. But the thing is Alabama has the shittiest scheduling. NDSU would be the first FCS team that Bama may have to put effort into beating. I'm not saying Bama will lose, I'm saying NDSU would probably be a big challenge to Bama compared to the other FCS cupcake games.
Alabama is not anywhere near an nfl team.
NDSU plays weak schools in the fbs.
Is NDSU beating an FBS team really an upset anymore?
As a Hawkeye fan that was at the game. It felt super shitty losing to NDSU... everyone thought it could happen but yeah it felt like an upset.
Ricky T.P.B Remember when the Bison got more votes in the AP poll than Iowa the week after they beat them?
Nah. And neither is Kansas losing to an FCS team
It could be
Nope. They're just an unreal powerhouse of a program. It's funny, but I-AA/FCS seem to build dynasties more than I-A/FBS do. Go all the way back to Georgia Southern and Youngstown State, then Appalachian State's threepeat, and now NDSU winning six out of seven straight (with the seventh going to my James Madison Dukes). The Bison have to be head and shoulders over all of them though.
North Dakota State is kinda good at football btw, just in case you guys didn’t know.
IDEA: Put Boise State in Power 5 (Big 12/Pac-12) and put NDSU in FBS (Power 5 of course)
TEAM CLASSIC SONIC I like this idea, but it seems like none of the P5 Conferences want to expand so it’ll be a challenge, but maybe one day
NDSU is a true powerhouse 😎
This is why we need a power 6 (AAC I’m looking at you)
Agreed, they should follow Appalachian State's lead and move up. That being said, the best teams in FCS could probably beat the majority of the sub-500 FBS teams.
The fact that like 80% of these highlights were from NDSU speaks volumes about their program. Blows my mind
Yeah oh yeah eh oh yeah
North Dakota state should be in FBS ANYONE AGREES
Me
@@christiankeller3656 who knows they can probably take arkansas or Kansas spot
FSU BOI fax
James Madison should be in the FBS at some point also
@@bruhhelp8264 I think James Madison can be in the AAC or conference USA. Pro sports central what u think
Iowa fans when NDSU beats ISU: 😂
Iowa fans 2 years later: 😢
There’s a reason FBS teams stopped scheduling NDSU the last 3 seasons.
They play oregon in September
Kenneth Wagster the last 3 seasons, I know they play Oregon...hence why I didn’t say nobody will anymore. We had a FBS for like 10 straight seasons before that.
Oregon
Can the Big 12 replace Kansas with North Dakota State?
Kansas has basketball and that’s the only reason they’re in the big 12
RacingNut48 maybe just until basketball season starts
To be fair, the Bison wrestling team is a part of the Big 12 conference, so there’s that
No
Or just Add NDSU. The big twelve has NDSU as a member in wrestling
North Dakota St is better than a lot of FBS schools
Put North Dakota State with the Big 10
Basically don’t pay North Dakota State to come play you.. lmao
Michael Layman lmao fax
Oregon’s doing it in 2020. If NDSU played them this year with this iteration of the team, Carl Sagarin’s computer rankings would have NDSU FAVORED against Oregon, even accounting for home field advantage at Autzen Stadium. A lot will change in 2 years though.
They should move up
ScoDucks2019 agreed
They've beaten the Gophers twice. The Bison no longer play in Minneapolis...
*Side-note* -- All of these wins were 'away' games...
FCS teams never face FBS teams at home. I think that's a rule in the NCAA
They couldn't pay them enough to play anyways. Ticket sales=money also who wants to watch a game on a high school equivalent field? TBH I like FCSvsFBS games. It gives small schools a chance in the limelight (and if it's a really big school lots of money) whilst giving the bigger school an easier time if they have a really tough schedule that year.
@@RushGamma Bruh. Have you seem some FCS stadiums? NDSU plays in a fairly large and loud indoor stadium. Recently Liberties Stadium. Montanna State and South Dakota state. Chattanooga. Yes some FCS schools have small stadiums. But they arent high school small
@@RushGamma look at Buffalos stadium(an FBS team) and get back to me on how it's better than NDSU's
@@Doomlerious Mississippi State visits Louisiana Tech every other year
Best one is still Appalachian state vs #4 Michigan
@@Ic-gq6lv they were in the FCS back when they beat Michigan dude
901 ic33 they were in 2007 when the upset happened stupid
JMU who ended up 7-4 beating #13 (and eventual ACC champion) Virginia Tech was more impressive... Michigan was way overrated that year
@Andy Gygi except that Michigan team wasn't as good as VT the year jmu beat them... And App St when they beat Michigan was much better than JMU when they beat VT, hence the bigger upset
encycl07pedia wrong
Oregon st was ranked at one point??
TheSportsGamer what..
Oregon State was actually pretty good 5 years ago they were a top 25 team
TheSportsGamer yea back when they had Brandin Cooks and Sean Mannion
@@Jxcksonyeet OSU wasn't that good, they lost to a FCS team. Learn the difference between where, and were.
Private Joker ok they where a top 25 Team, Hmmmm. Doesn’t sound right maybe you should retake English Class
You forgot NDSU over Kansas State 2013
The best upset ever
reid craig NDSU beating anybody is not an upset..
@TK33 I understand what you're trying to tell me. They've done this numerous times. I only said that because this was the first game that came to my mind of an FCS beating a FBS school. Another note about this game, the season before, Kansas State won the Big 12 title which led them to the Fiesta Bowl. After North Dakota State defeated them, 3 weeks later the Bisons got to host College GameDay for the very first time.
The defending Big 12 champs. That is a huge accomplishment. I pulled HARD for NDSU that game
Greatest NDSU 4th quarter drive ever
All in favor of NDSU becoming FBS like
Dubby G after nicholls lost to them in the playoffs I’m all for it😂
I dont think they want to become fbs tho
FBS would be a step backward for them. Going from a natty every year to being a power 5 punching bag.
I think they would be perfect in the American athletic conference or the sunbelt
Replace Rutgers with NDSU
I would actually be fine with that! Give some of us b10 west guys some competition and a better rivalry. We can just move Purdue to b10 east. I mean hell they beat Ohio St. showing they got what it takes.
ianthe king058 they would definitely have to be a football only team
Basketball ListsNmore yeah we’d go 0 for season in men’s basketball in the Big Ten, plus we just got a new basketball arena that only seats like 6,000 and it doesn’t have nearly the mystique of Cameron Indoor at Duke
Basketball ListsNmore they’d also need a way bigger stadium
Wyatt Winterfeld Idaho hasn’t been in the FBS for a while
NDSU has a stretch of 3 PAC-12 opponents over 4 years starting with Oregon in 2020, University of Arizona in 2022, and Colorado in 2024. NDSU would love to schedule an FBS opponent every year but willing schools have been hard to come by. Yes, NDSU has asked Alabama if they could go to Bryant-Denny stadium and see how they stack up. 'Bama said "No."
I hope that last part is true lmaooo
Well Oregon 2020 didn’t happen and Colorado will be Big 12
Man NDSU owns the state of Iowa lol
Kris Dickason The only D1 team they haven’t beaten yet but would destroy is Drake.
George Washington Drake is FCS, which is D1. They’re in the Pioneer League. Thought George Washington never told a lie lol
George Washington Also, in a moment of serendipity, NDSU is scheduled to play Drake this year in football
You might be right, because the only Iowa-based team to defeat the Bison have been the Northern Iowa Panthers (also of the Missouri Valley Football Conference). And the Panthers have also shocked some FBS teams like Ball State, Iowa State, and a few others - proof-positive that ANY FCS team should not be considered a pushover. (Remember the story of David vs. Goliath?)
Andrew W. Conlee NDSU also destroyed UNI last year, who took Iowa State to their limit.
Anybody watching this better not mess with North Dakota State.
Montana grizzlies beat them 38-35 then lost 42-10
Funny that Nicholls beat Kansas. I live in Louisiana and Nicholls plays in Thibodeaux and in Thibodeaux there's only 1 high school! Really goes to show you how embarrasing that loss really is
Kansas is a basketball school...we give the football team a pass.
Christian Keller wow I didn’t know that.. crazy lol
You don’t live in Thibodaux because you spelled it wrong and there’s more than one high school in the city... nice try though
@@tennessee271 chill dude. Things normally end with eaux in La so I have a habit of ending things with eaux and if you look up high schools in Thibodeaux there's only 1 high school that's public so ut goes to show you how the city has a low population. And I know u probably looked that information up bc you have no life and you correcting people is fun for you. Go outside and make friends instead of trying to correct people all day.
Christian Keller 😂😂 I live in thib. And if you lived in thib you wouldn’t be as surprised as they almost beat Georgia two years ago and Texas A&M last year. This just falls in line for them. #GeauxColonels
A whoooole lotta North Dakota State 🤘
Moral of the video, don't schedule NDSU especially if you're ranked 😂
Kentucky_18 yea lol
@@Hokie4Life is Kentucky in the FBS? I forget because every suck at everything was except round value l balls. Recently they've sucked round balls too....I mean sucked playing with round balls....I mean basketballs. Yeah that's what I meant
Being from North Dakota gotta love seeing some recognition
Is it even an upset if ND wins? They are pretty damn good
North Dakota St beating anyone isn’t an upset, everyone knows how great NDSU is every year
They play Oregon in September. Let's see how that goes
@@kennethwagster3788 canceled unfortunately
@@kennethwagster3788 Oregon/PAC10 cancelled. Probably a good move. Probably would have lost to that particular team NDSU fielded.
NDSU needs to get in FBS, it gets boring in FCS for them
Mountain west would be perfect
For liberty to go from FCS to finishing ranked #12 in 6 years is actually kinda crazy
TH-cam NCAA14 Dynasty type deal
Yeah, but they're Liberty. They don't deserve to be in any conference. They shouldn't even be an accredited school
North Dakota State loves their upsets!
I was wondering where App St beating Michigan was. Then I realized that game happened in 2007. Damn I'm old!!!!
That Minnesota game spelled the end of the Glenn Mason era, and in part announced the arrival of a building dynasty in the NDSU Bison.
Minnesota was already on its second coach after Glen Mason at that time
Citadel beating South Carolina that year wasn’t really an upset, South Carolina was horrible that year, like WAYYYYY bad
@Brian its also the Citadel, the FCS Alabama XD
@@Repti_0822 no, NDSU is the FCS Alabama.
South Carolina is pretty consistently bad at this point.
It's the same as UF losing to Georgia Southern in 2013 I think by the that game we had only 2 starters on offense that we're still healthy and active from the Miami game at the start of the year. Also Muschamp was a dead man walking at that point.
North Dakota State should just move up into the FBS
I believe they go by Students, and North Dakota St. doesn't have near enough students like Florida, Oregon, etc.
bridgxr Notre Dame and Villanova each have under 10,000 students but one is FBS and the other isn’t
To be in the FBS you need to have an average home attendance of 15,000 and I don't know if they have that
@@hambb They are sold out like every game and their stadium holds 20,000
@@eqvnt6938 actually it holds 18,700, but if they do sellout then I guess they'd be fine
As a VT fan/student and having grown up in Virginia, that loss still stings to this day. The ODU one last year was still worse in my opinion.
In hindsight, that JMU loss could have been a sign that Beamer likely was nearing the end of his career and almost ready to retire. He remained a few more years but still wasn't too long before he left. Then we had the abysmal Fuente error. Thankfully that is done now and hopefully we can rebuild with Pry and Co.
Should've put Jacksonville state beating Ole Miss
Thank you!! Someone finally mentions it!
I thought it was auburn?
Edit: It was both. I just looked it up auburn in 2015, ole miss in 2010
Go gamecocks baby
How about Illinois state beating northwestern 2 or 3 years ago
Did anyone else think the thumbnail was some madden game?
Kansas may as well be an FCS team in football
MAYBE even a D2 school...
Rare scene of an Iowa team not being the one doing the upsetting
2:40 #3 is an absolute legend. he never gave up, even though the game was decided. Inspiring.
NDSU dominates FCS, they could easily be in FBS
PSC Highlights you are the G.O.A.T when it comes to compilation football vids. You are the best CFB TH-camr🏈🙏
I mean Vernon Adams was a really good college QB and that eastern Washington offense was dynamite didn't really shock me too much
Bison-K-State. Watch their game winning drive.
I don't understand why NDSU is never ranked in the AP top 25. Clearly one of the best 25 teams in the country consistently, even if they are FCS.
Jon Ross they are ranked in the AP top 25 like every year, it is just the FCS rankings, they are not FBS so why would they be ranked in the FBS polls?
Move up to the big boys
@@007lanski5 Good point 👍🏼
They’ve finished seasons in the “receiving votes” section of the Top 25 and most recently had more votes than Iowa the week after their 2016 win. Newspapers do kind of undervalue NDSU but it’s mostly irrelevant as long as they keep winning
It really is tremendous what they’ve accomplished this decade and give them 22 more scholarships and you’ll probably find they can compete with just about anyone
Nd state should be fbs
These announcers sound so bored. Like a dude intercepted it and fumbled it to his own dude for a touchdown!!! How can you not freak out?
Probably just pissed their team was losing
I thought the same thing. Rather boring!!🤔
I hate it when announcers freak out. It's not that exciting.
Save for that Liberty upset
That North Dakota State Play at the end of the 1st half vs Minnesota was the most insane play that I’ve never seen before. Nice video, keep up the good work!
What about 2013 when McNeese St beat USF in the opening game 53-21. McNeese blew them out!
What was realling shocking is that Oregon State was in the Top 25. I'd also add that this isn't every FCS upset, likely just the ones you can get film on. One example is UC Davis outgunning San Jose State in 2018 (the Aggies also won a defense battle against SJSU in 2010). Great video, when will NDSU move up? High is the FCS mountain...and ironically, it always runs through Fargo.
what I learned from this is do NOT schedule N Dakota St
NDS vs Alabama. It needs to happen NOW!
Can u do a part 2??
Dude says sorry about the music and this absolute banger comes on
Me: Awesome, I'll get to see Carson Wentz make some nice throws!
NDSU Coach: Oh really?
North Dakota St. making people wish for refunds 😂
Va tech sure does like paying teams to beat them
1:53 Why haven't I seen this play before? You'd think this would be in every college football highlights compilation on TH-cam. What a crazy play!
CFB>NFL
By a long shot
@Triple 4 yet all your favorite college athletes main goal is to reach the Nfl
@@issaboozy7402 well yeah...so they can get paid to play. I'm sure if there was a league with rules almost exactly like CFB all the college kids would go play in that league. And I'm sure most people who watch NFL would switch if there was one.
TwalKr 4 you must be of the mindset where all the best players should be on offense
@@parkercrossland410 dude there's just as many good defensive players as there is offensive players in CFB. And every conference is different. In the big 12 you see more high scoring games and in the SEC you see more low scoring games
How NC A&T beating ECU in 2018 isn’t mentioned is a mystery here. ECU has historically been on of the best football schools in NC. They beat up on UNC and schools like Virginia Tech. They got beaten by a team in the same conference as Howard
North Dakota state 24 @ defending big 12 champs Kansas state 21 .....2013
James Madison vs. Virginia Tech in 2010, North Dakota State vs. Minnesota in 2011, North Dakota State vs. Iowa in 2016, Liberty vs. Baylor in 2017 and Nicholls State vs. Kansas in 2018.
Can't forget Maine beating Western Kentucky earlier this year after being down 21 in the first half! (Go Black Bears!)
We also beat Mississippi State back in 2005! The College of our Hearts always
5:47 what a great fucking block to spring the RB on the option
I wouldn't call ndsu beating Minnesota a upset
They've done it more than once so Minnesota stopped inviting them, lol.
Nicholas Skuza the problem is it’s a no win situation for Minnesota. If they beat NDSU, it wouldn’t mean anything on their resume because it’s still an FCS game. But they still stand a decent chance of losing, and they can’t take the game lightly, like they could against other FCS teams. They schedule those games to act like a preseason game, so they can get a lot of players to see game action and sort out who deserves playing time.
I wonder if attendence is a reason as to why Minnesota kept scheduling NDSU through those down years for the program? Have to make money somehow. I don't see them scheduling a threat like that during the Fleck era.
@Ibrahim Diriye I live in Fargo and you live in Moorhead NDSU is the closest team so go for NDSU
Or a week 3 iowa team 😂
My Alma Mater (Augustana) was a member of the old Division II North Central Conference before it dissolved, because SDSU, NDSU, USD, UND, & UNC (Northern Colorado) all moved up to the FCS; UNO (Nebraska-Omaha) dropped football, & Morningside moved down to the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). Augustana, Minnesota-Mankato, & Minnesota-St. Cloud are still in Division II, in the Northern Sun Conference. After the University of Minnesota lost to NDSU, one of my college friends who’s a former Augustana offensive lineman & a University of Minnesota fan, said, ”my school used to beat up on these guys, & now they're beating up on my team!”
My friend is going to play for North Dakota State next year
North Dakota State: I don't always play FBS teams, but when I do...
I usually win...
U missed the K-State game against NDSU
North Dakota State looking like a pretty Hype team. FBS teams have hopefully learned they're lesson in scheduling them. Hope they get to FBS one day
Note to self. Panic when playing ndst
I feel like ND State would fit well in a power 5 conference with the success they’ve maintained for so long.
The Nicholls Kansas announcer ruined it by being so monotone the whole time
is anyone else surprised that the NDSU crowd is pretty loud at 4:40?
*reads all the comments saying Troy over LSU and ODU over V-Tech despite them being FBS programs, and sees people mislabel FCS as D2 when it’s still D1.. Eeyup college football fans (more specifically fans of P5 conference schools) the most ignorant person you’ll ever find.

Or Portland State vs. Washington State.
@@MrKnight7172 The video may as well be renamed "FCS upsets over Power 5 teams"
Portland State I'm pretty sure was higher in the Sagarin rankings than North Texas at the time, so it probably shouldn't count as an upset.
Gandy-Golden is an absolute stud and it showed in that Baylor game. Can't believe he fell to the 4th round Redskins got an absolute steal.
North Dakota State is up here? I guess nobody has seen how good they are. Not surprised about Kansas losing since it's Kansas football.

not at the time
Georgia southern is in the sun belt
Georgia Southern wasn’t in the Sun Belt when they beat Florida.
They were an FBS team, I know because I’m an App fan and they moved up in 2014 with App when it happened
Some of these teams are now FBS teams, but we’re FCS at the time of the upset
I great upset only to be ruined by Beth Mowins
She is the absolute worst.

I would MUCH RATHER listen to Beth Mowins (Go Lafayette) over Sean McDonough, Joe Buck and Gus Johnson!!
PD P ding dongs your opinion is wrong
I thought she was good and I’d go down on her
James Madison and North Dakota State are FCS Powerhouse teams. North Dakota State is the FCS team to beat though. They have been for many years now. They won the FCS five straight years and 6 of the last 7. The team that won in between was James Madison in 2016. I did look up stats to see what year James Madison won.
Tedo I watched the JMU NDST semifinal in 2016. One of the happiest days I’ve had in sports. We came so close to the perfect season in 2017 but NDST barely edged us in the championship game. This year was a bad year but our new coaching staff for next season is stacked so I’m hoping we can win the championship again and eventually move up to the FBS.
Man I love these clip I like how FCS school upset FBS school I love it you cant said FCS cant hang with the FBS boy.
What about NC A&T and East Carolina ?
I remember in the 2000’s when over half of the Big 12 schools were ranked in the top 10 at some point. It wasn’t just OU and Texas. Now some conference teams can’t even compete with D2 schools.
Was anyone really shocked that Kansas lost though? Surprised, yes. Shocked, no
Nathan Kolesar I mainly put that one because there wasn’t too many others to choose from. Villanova over Temple was the second best this season IMO.
@@pschighlights no, I get it, it, plus it's not like Nicholls State is a big name FCS school either, so it makes sense
I wasn't even surprised. They've been worse than terrible ever since they kicked Mangino out for raiding the buffet line too many times.
@@TheRiverweasel09 well you know and being an insufferable dick they wanted to fire while he was winning.
can we just consider NDSU a Power 5 school now? honestly, if you put them in a division like the MAC or Mountain West, they'd probably compete for the Conference championship year 1
I want to see jmu vs bama
Man I still remember being on campus when I heard that Citadel beat Carolina. That was a pretty good team that year though.
That Calvert guy from Liberty should get drafted pretty high
Generation Zed I go to school at Liberty...stats wise he’s in the top 15 passing yards in the country
Nick Romano
Former LU student here. Buckshot has a few problems he needs to work on. 1. About half the time he gets lost after his first read is taken out (though he’s improved on it since his freshman year still needs worked on) and 2. He always gets wide eyed when he sees a man open down field and shows off his arm more than he connects the deep ball. Though he’s still got another year to work on it. I’ll agree though either he’ll be a late round draft pick or a UDFA, and hopefully he won’t get screwed like Woodrum has. Also, at this point I think it’s a lock that Gandy-Golden will get drafted. Right now thinking mid-rounds unless he has a monster senior year next year.
Also, I’m 100% on the fire Gill train. Have been for a few years now. He’s not our guy moving forward.

I wonder why more FBS teams don't consider moving down to FCS. Maybe both divisions more competitive and still give kids the opportunity to play. With the cost associated with programs rising and a few other reasons, I can think of a couple dozen teams that might want consider it.
Nothing special in North Dakota except North Dakota state university
Don't forget about the 8 time national champion UND hockey team.
