Hey @ParrotsAwesomeness, what do you think of the bird backpacks for travelling with cockatiels for them to see out of?
I’m thinking of getting a new cockatiel since my baby passed away, but I’m worried about my environment here in Hawaii. I have regular pest control, but I want to keep my baby safe from centipedes. As far as traveling abroad, I think there’s a bird farm here that can watch my baby while I’m away. So many things to think about - thoughts?
Thanks for your teaching 🩷😊😁
My cockatiel doesn’t get scared in the dark, he seems to sleep better when it’s fully dark, compared to any source of light. also my cockatiel likes to sleep in my room and actually doesn’t sleep until I come into bed.
I have always owned a big dog but I love my little Moe He is such a sweet boy
My cockatiel is attracted to anything shiny or bright color papers. He spends along time guarding it or want to take to its perch. Otherwise he ll constantly keep calling loudly until i give it to him. Iis it normal? Im not sure what does that mean?
You are right, thank you😊
Just as a point, if you want to speed up the process of getting ur bird used to something new, seem interesting in it. New toy? Bat it with ur finger or poke it, new food bowl? Poke at the seed, don’t make eye contact with your bird whilst doing this, just seem genuinely interested and intrigued
Thanks I'm learning a lot from you x
