SAMSUNG LED TV showing blank screen | No image | No video | Sound OK

In this video we see how to trace hardware failure in an LED / LCD TV which is powering ON but no display ( nothing is displayed on screen), this same hardware fault (component failure) can cause only power LED or standby LED flashing 5 times in some model of SONY TV's. The TV that is repaired in this video is SAMSUNG 40" LED backlight TV.

I have a similar issue: samsung t32e310 ex. If I disconnect the ribbon cable and reconnect while the TV is powered on it's working again (sometimes it needs some fidgeting with the cable in the connector. But when I power off and on the picture is gone again.
There is three TV with the same issue. I'm trying to figure out the problem. The board is similar but not the same as on this video and I cant find the fuse...

Turn OFF the TV, try cleaning the metal contacts on ribbon cable with the rubber (pencil rubber used by students)if any dark marks and clean the connectors on PCB as shown in the laptop repair video in the link below:

After cleaning with liquid blow air with hair dryer or wait for several minutes for it to dry and then connect the cable and switch ON.
Hope this will solve, if not then you need to check for dry solder joints on connectors.

Hello Sir,
For backlight issue, need to check inverter section(LED Driver) in power supply board, if all voltages are ok then need to check LED strip and replace if faulty, try to replace all the backlight strips to avoid repetition of fault.

Hi, sorry for late reply.
You can pay service fee + cost of spare parts used.
Here in my city, service charge is rupees 500 to 1000 and if the technician is replacing the T-con board, it would cost 1500 to 3000 or more, depending upon the T-con board model. If any other problem it may cost less or more depending on the part replaced.

I prefer the old timer secret repair trick a 35 year career Samsung technician taught me
Step 1 : get yourself scotch tape & a 8.5 oz ball peen hammer
Step 2 : run the tape diagonally from each corner
Step 3: locate the center where the tape intersects
Step 4 hit the cross section with the ball peen hammer with as much force as possible

The fault on the tv shown in this video was with the t-con (timing control) board, changing the mainboard would not help as mainboard was working fine.
