    Great tips and information. I would never need to do that but if I had a need I would be at your door. You are an encyclopedia of tractor information. Thanks for the information.

    Thanks for the tip. Took one of those differentials apart awhile back & see how that collar sliding out would screw it up.
    Never saw an ag tire with the tire size between the lugs before & I've been around tractors all my life!
    Cheers

      Yep....The Carlisle Tru-Power 10.5" wide tires are the only ones I've ever seen this on.

    Bought a sovereign two years ago not running, got it running good but wouldn’t turn for nothing. I took the diff apart 5 times lubed etc everything looked great, finally found some schematics of how it’s supposed to be assembled. Turns out the gear was put in backwards the lock diff for plowing 😄

    I was waiting for the iconic "DO NOT PUT METAL IN THERE" bit from the original series on these tractors lol. It was in reference to the nylon bushing inside the hub. Very good info to have! I've also been enjoying your string of recent videos and I'm glad you're better health-wise. Take care Zip!

    Hey Zippo I just wondered if you ever did any work on any old Bolans 1050 tractors with the old Wisconsin engines in them. I live in Indiana and it seems like I might know you personally don’t know if I might be worked at a shop where you were at if you ever worked in a tractor shop or not but just wondered if you’ve ever worked on any of those those are one tough tractor. They got a muscle transmission in them and those old Wisconsin cast iron engines you just can’t beat them with a stick.

      Hi Able. I work on Wisconsin's often. More specifically, the older Wico style Mag fired types. But plenty of later models as well. Email me to the address in the video description. Zip~

    loved the video but I wish you had mention what happens with the rear locking pin. I have 3410 and the rear gear pin won't engage. if I spin the wheel the other side does move but I can't get the pin to go in to work with trans. any tips on how to fix that? thanks also if there is no trans fluid would that cause tractor not to move?

    I have a B112 Ali’s Chalmers with the tiller on the back , I have to put it in gear while the engine is off then press the clutch start the engine then release the clutch in order to move it but if I start it first then press the clutch it will not go in gear.

    Have you done much with an Allis 300 or 400 series? I have a 410 which I put a loader on (made quick attach brackets to mount a danco), and just checked my 410 and see it does not have the slip limiting fasteners/plastic (unless I am missing something?) I am thinking about welding on some kind of a collar so I can do that...what torque do you use roughly?

      I had never realized that the rear end is limited slip! A quick adjustment and my 410 will be an awesome snow pusher.

    I was trying to get identified a manual garden tractor transmission/differential. Has marking on a aluminum tag/ plate 1209 s/n ? 007461
    it's yellow. like most the short 3/4 stub shaft on one side( for a pulley that's not on it) , the brake on the other side /the real give away thing is the axle hubs are "triangular", and only take "3 lug nuts". So anyone know what brand

    • @janbill79
      @janbill79 ปีที่แล้ว

      somebody suggested the rear end with the three lug nuts is from 1969 toro suburban 55402 or (960) model

    Zippo, I have a 2009 Toro 5030 Time Cutter Zero Turn. Brakes suck ,I have cable cog system, not module. The cogs grab the small gear. Doesn’t stop a thing. Am I missing something ?
