  • Dnyaneshwar asks the Maharishikaa why some long-term seekers suddenly abandon their spiritual journey after decades of seeking? In this raw and painfully poignant answer, Maharishikaa shows how the ego becomes increasingly wily, leading some seekers to stop seeking and finding. She speaks about the internal tug of war that come into play within the seeker and how the seeker who gives in to the Ego Lie abandons the proactive spiritual quest.

    Thank you dear Maharishikaa, I appreciate your commitment to this happening and your matter-of-fact tone. You are a Grace, appearing as human form. May your sharings continue to flourish. We are most grateful.

    Such a reminder that as long as one is living, it is only a path of surrender. That there is no completed journey to self realisation. That it grows upon the bedrock of surrender to a master- who can keep the ego smaller and the voice of truth louder. The image of the energy leaving the system if one suddenly leaves one’s path for truth, to allow ego to rule is vivid. And a clear warning to always be alert on a path with humility, sincerity and devotion as markers. Maharishikaa’s love is palpable. Even for those who get off course because they chose the path of the ego. Even then the Maharishikaa sends out strength. What a beacon she is in this world.

      Not necessary to surrender to a master unless you are referring to that which exists within. Be careful with guru worship. Just another dead end.

    This is exactly the situation I have been in for 3 months now. I have actually felt the ego take control again, and I told my sister yesterday how I found myself in self-sabotaging patterns that I thought I had overcome. But when they occur, I (or the self) don't feel strong enough to leave or stop them, I can only watch from an observer perspective. I used to think that the closer I get to the actual self, the more resistance and traps and the louder the ego gets. And in the last few months, I've even felt like there's some kind of battle going on inside of me - ego vs. self.
    Well, I think your video came at just the right time. Because I once embarked on the journey out of pain, or rather because I wanted to leave that painful state of mind. But along the way, the seeking for truth became more and more my motivation. how can I get back on the right path?

    Many though spiritual masters describing enlightenment in terms of dropping the transcendent, and returning to your body and life, and dropping the illusion that the transcendent state is somehow superior, Adyashanti in particular describing enlightenment in these terms,

    Take caution in vilifying the ego. The ego is neither good nor bad. It just is. A tool, a servant of sorts. A necessity in traversing this dimension of space-time. Demonizing the ego or attempting to dissolve and destroy it will not lead to lasting enlightenment, joy, peace, surrender what have you. Much better to understand, listen, learn, and develop compassion for that ego. Work together. The vehicle of ego serves well when cared for and driven safely. Check in to be sure who serves as master so ego does not rule.
    And remember, words are all but fingers pointing at the moon. Conceptualizations removed from truth. NOT THE TRUTH which can never be spoken.

      As Maharishikaas student I understand that the ego is not me, it is the conditioning, programming, brainwashing, propaganda that society has slammed on me. I did not have this as a baby. As a young baby I was impulsed by the truth, the life-force. Society is generally responsible for desires, judgements, anger, etc. My ego conditioning does not have my best interests at heart. On the contrary. Sometimes we have different ideas /experiences of what ego is. What do you understand that ego is?

    • @ATMfromNJ
      @ATMfromNJ 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ego is a construct- a process of sorts- that allows one to navigate this physical existence in a society or community at large. The body-mind needs some degree of ego to operate in a grounded manner. Neither evil nor good. Just is. Ego should serve but many become subservient to the ego. Awareness of the process is the antidote. Recognizing it for what is is and seeing when it is in action proves vital. Even this teacher notes that a slight identify is necessary to function. This slim identity is a function of ego. Still neither good nor bad. A lot more difficult to manage when it has been built up into a complex entanglement of contradictions but equally as dangerous when it completely disappears. It is necessary function.

    • @ATMfromNJ
      @ATMfromNJ 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Even she says you are not that truth impulse experienced as a baby. That too is an ego construct when identified in that manner. Linguistics and logic cannot explain truth so we may spin in circles here.

    What is sevaa ?

    • @sonicspring6448
      @sonicspring6448 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sevaa is service, and can be done in a number of ways. It's done in a spirit of wanting to help others, and thereby assist the Divine Life within them.
