This video so much reminds me of my own state, quite similar to that of Michael, actually much worse, when i first came to Maharishikaa years back, wanting to be quiet and with myself mostly, meditating a lot, wanting to detach from everything that caused suffering (and that’s basically everything and everyone in a way ) not wanting to work really, not ready to face the world, no yearning to start a family ….
With a lot of love, care and grace, Maharishikaa ji pulled me out of this state, showing me how my forays into what we know as spirituality of meditation, of enlightenment, of silence, of detachment is skewed and was eventually the cause of all my suffering ( although in the start it doesn’t
seem so ) and had made me lose interest in people, in the world and also didn’t give me that centeredness, quiet, peace and joy inside that i so badly wanted and that the real deal is to be smack in the middle of the marketplace and to be with and love people, engage with them and to be normal and work and still be in that freedom and joyousness and equanimity inside that i longed for and that Maharishikaa revealed comes from surrender to the soul, that is within me, within reach and available at all times….such a huge blessing and forever indebted to have Maharishikaa as my guru and guide and who facilitated this surrender, in spite of my own hard resistance for years and from whom i learnt what unconditional love, real compassion is….

I didn’t know what Guru Vada was and only read up about it after I sat in Maharishikaa’s Satsang. Something stirred within me and there was a longing to experience Guru Shishya Parampara… the jungles, snakes and tigers were mostly my own ego and at moments I still have to overcome. But the journey continues and along with it that sweetness that underlies the day to day, guided / inspired and shown the way by the living Guru.

This sweet dear Soul (Michael) needs to LOVE his SELF... with all of his failures and successes... his Soul (inner child) is asking for acceptance... not performance. It sounds simple enough, but because of the way most of us were brought up... as "never good enough" etc.... we dissociate and fragment ourselves into all these separate parts, and it is impossible to live as Humpty Dumpty. Only by lovingly accepting the parts of ourself we have "shunned" and "stuffed away" in the shadows, is how we can restore peace and joy to our entire being (system).

I was in this exact state after decades on a spiritual path based New York. I saw Maharishikaa's videos and dropped everything and went to the open Satsangs in India for three months this year. To any seeker in this state I HIGHLY recommend trying to do this. It is a rare opportunity to escape this maze and this hampster wheel.

@@Lucida1818it probably depends on how spaced out you are. I was never into neo advaita or anything so the TH-cam channel seems to be enough for me. Hopefully as I become a more embodied and powerful person (thru surrender to my soul, and I gain truer access my own inner guidance system) as she describes here, I’ll be able to travel in the future for satsang. But I’m incredibly grateful that these videos are here and that I think I probably understand and can do some of the practices. But for the really lost people who can afford it, they should probably go, why not, if they have the money it’s probably a faster track.
