    So true! I so appreciate Maharishikaa, she is a beacon of truth. Many of us have been through the neo- Advaitan path. She is teaching us a course correction to the truth of surrender. Love her🙏🥰

      I have been trained in zenbuddhism for dekades, and even though it also teaches "presence here and now", I have become addicted to long hours of meditation, So even though I resonate with Maharishikaas teaching, I meet with an inner conflict here. Recently I started following traditional advaita, which deepened that conflict.
      Its excruciating. I love this teaching of Maharishikaa. I hope this love will show me a way out of that torture.
      Recently, I avoided the satsangs because I was not ready to resolve that conflict by giving up my loyalty to the tradition; but this is not a solution (of course) .
      I'll be back.

      @@asterixdergallier2743 I see what you mean. I have a funny way to adress that problem 😅
      If those long sessions feel like you desperately need to do them, and you are addicted to them, then ask yourself how is this different from being addicted to eating donuts for example or binge watching TV etc...? You know, an addiction is an addiction no matter the content and the particular habit.
      Can you choose not to make this one session, and be okay with that or anxiety and self criticism creep up? Of course you know that's the ego kicking. If it has ecome a mechanical routine you know it's not good for you any more. At least not in this way of doing it.

      @@asterixdergallier2743I had a similar struggle even coming from different practices and traditions. While reading your story I remembered a Buddha speech about traditions. Hope this helps.
      Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
      Buddha Siddhartha Guatama Shakyamuni

    The attraction for meditation is always for this "bliss" state. And so for many very hard to let go off. I found coming into the body and being here, not as exciting as the meditation practices I did before. While the moments are not so blissed out these days, those bliss moments are being replaced by joy moments. And I don't have to go off and away to "recharge" through retreats. I find myself more and more in more or less a general state of joy or equanimity and when I do fall off the horse, so to say - it's also easier to find my way back. It's quicker.

  • @ranaji99
    @ranaji99 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    Any form of practice always comes from ego, when the discernment and analysis stops, surrender starts exactly at that point.
    All start from understanding that all actions are predetermined. For truth is exactly opposite to maya/illusion or say worldly stuff.
    Actions works for ego only and for truth it's surrender only. Ending desires knowing that all actions takes place on its own, by seeing our actions and the results it has produced. What we desired from childhood hasn't come true, only 1 percent that could have come true, that means life is uncertain and what has to happen will happen nothing can change. So, having a desire, will cause sadness because 99 percent it's going to fail, now then best is to let things happen the way they want, we have no control. Now from this place surrender gets easier. Untill you keep analyzing, thinking, hoping, desiring you will suffer, whether it is to live good or wanting enlightenment. Stop all desires n surrender, mind should not be thinking, don't force any practice, just let go off to supreme.
    Staying in present moment is not surrender, it's an effort. Surrender is not staying Anywhere at all. Let supreme take actions for you.

    Koti kotoi Pranam,
    Ramanand Maharishi, Ananda Mai and a few others have attained enlightenment by identifying with the Real 'I', which is pure awareness. This is not that they got lost in our awareness. They were conscious that they are pure awareness. If they would have chosen body consciousness anytime, than it's simply a matter of putting their attention to the body. Let the body fulfill it's own karma. My point here is they were not lost. It's only the question of where one put one's attention to. When one gets seal pointed in meditation, the last thought also gets absorbed and only living ,pulsating Real I remains, to put it simply in your words. And it is aware that it is this living, pulsating Real 'I'.
    Even if I put my full attention to present moment, It will still lead me to the Real I. For Real I is all that IS.

      Sri Ramana surely followed his Antarguru and his Truth. But it's not my Truth to lie around in a loin cloth most of the day and walk around a mountain the rest of the time. And after Sri Ramana's enlightenment, he almost killed himself through meditation. He could take that path, without a wife and children and job. But most of us can't leave the world, and it's not at all authentic for us. The more I try and identify with Impersonal Awareness, the more I distance myself from my wife and children and job. Through Maharishikaa's words, I'm just starting to see how selfish my so called "advaita" approach has been.

    This is why I kept experiencing "falls" or difficulties after "detachment" practices, because the word is either confused with surrender or surrender is conveniently left out of the picture to maintain the allure, pretty, easy side of certain practices and, well, it keeps pockets lined in my country that way. An addiction to dettachment/avoidance can become no different than a dependency on something else. With me, I couldn't tolerate sounds anymore after detachment practice. Now I understand that surrender is not detachment or avoidance of reality or environment, it is full and deep immersion in it and acceptance of it from a place of Truth. Been looking for this clarification for years and am so grateful she provided it in this video!

    So refreshing to see a teacher talking this way. This has been my intuitive experience for so long and why I never could connect with any guru or spiritual path in general, despite my interest, as the more "spiritual" the person suposedly was the more self deluded and evaded from reality it felt to me.

    It’s so old school
    I realize that u become stronger if u live among the kaos life bombards u everyday so as she says
    Surrender so u can have family and every day life

    I am thankful to this gentleman questions. Im also a vipassana practitioner. Somehow im also finding myself as much as possible, moment to moment aware of my action to the point of discernment. Discernment is what the Buddha teaches. Seeking the Truth is also what the Buddha teaches. These 2 discernment and Truth is my guide. But we dont talk about surrender. But seems like doing these two is what surrender means here.

      I had the same question. I wish she would be more precise about it. I'm not sure I agree with her. This was all a bit deep and perhaps I misunderstood her. As far as I am aware, meditation is the way to contact with your inner Source or Truth. It is even in the bible, "Be still and know that I am God". Still what that you may know God? Still your mind. Hence, meditation is the method of sitting still, focusing on your breath in order to still your mind so that you are no longer bombarded by thoughts. When your mind is still, then you become aware of that stillness without thinkng. And it is through that stillness you become aware of a spiritual presence. Even Yogananda and Paul Brunton emphasize the importance to take up meditation in order to make contact with God or Source. Quite frankly, I don't know why she is making such a bid deal against meditation.

      Maharishikaa says she is brilnging
      a new teaching for the current age and the future. I love Yogananda deeply, I am convinced that he brought me to Maharishikaa. She is not against meditation, she has said up to an hour a day, is alright for most people to quiten the system. She points out the dangers of long meditations that take us out of the system. That happened to me. After decades of this it has been a very hard process to bring my consciousness into the present moment.

    So what actually kind of struck me was that you said you don’t hold dialogue but are only here to answer questions, don’t you believe that is also attachment to what you believe is your role? Instead of surrendering to what experiences arise on your path, like people come to you for a dialogue?

    • @PulkitMathur-Jaipur
      @PulkitMathur-Jaipur หลายเดือนก่อน

      @icandodice Did it strike you or your thinking mind? My non thinking mind tells me the following 1. What was said was said in the moment and not for eternity. 2. What if the need for dialogue coming from the seeker is coming from their ego and then it would be Maharishikaa's Job not to give into that ego. and at-least 5 such more simple explanations exists. You can question the workings of the Gurus all you want but that's not going to bring you anything. Their workings are there workings. We are not here to learn from them how they operate. we are here to learn from them, how to reduce ego and suffering and connect with the source within and experience joy. Did it strike you that: it's not about Maharishikaa. It's about you.
