He was the beloved host of a TV game show called "The Price is Right". That's why Happy said "the price is wrong, bitch!" He hosted it for decades, and one of the contests on that show was a putting game. Barker's public persona was laid back and gentle, which makes the fight really funny!

Yup, debt collectors in general had a lot more freedom in the 90's. I still remember many times my mother would freak out and have us turn off any electronics, duck behind the couch, and stay as silent as possible when we saw a strange car park in front of our apartment for fear that it was a debt collector that had literally come knocking. And it usually was. Fun times.

That's why i say we never really own anything, because as soon as you get behind on your home taxes they will foreclose on you and take your home. If you don't pay yearly taxes on your car, they won't let you renew your license plates when they expire, which also cost money on top of the taxes. So you can't drive and won't have a home if you don't keep paying taxes until you die

Generally (except for mating season in the spring), they will try to avoid people by getting back into the water (so you make certain you don't get between them and the nearest water). When I worked in south Florida, I was walking out of my office one day (there was a step down as you came out) and wound up stepping over an adolescent (3-4' long) alligator sunning himself right by the building. I don't know which of us was more surprised. After that, I always looked when opening that door.
