Armageddon is the essence of everything what the people wants. I think thats the reason why this film touches us all emotionally. Everyone wishes a father like Harry (who always love and protects his children), a Hero who safe us all, straightens everything again and bring justice in to the world. All this symbolizes Harry.

My favorite line of that Russian guy is, "THIS IS HOW WE FIX THINGS IN RUSSIAN SPACE STATION!!!!" while he's hitting it with a wrench. Technically, that's how you sometimes kickstart a car engine back up so it runs again. Get it? Kickstart? (Awkward silence) Right, I'll just see myself out.
Billy Bob Thornron really holds this movie together. Its all so ridiculous, but with his presence, tone and gravitas in delivering the plot and info he actually makes it seem believable.

Part of me can sort of buy it. Its humanitys single, desperate, Hail Mary attempt to stop an asteroid. If they could get away with having the best astronauts and best drillers on the job I suppose that would be ideal. That said, they'd probably have to spend the whole two weeks just on putting their suits on correctly to make sure they dont die just from that. So it is still pure insanity.
One of my all-time favorite movies. Everything about it is great. A little bit of interesting trivia: The narration at the beginning of the movie was done by the legendary actor Charlton Heston. When I saw this in theaters, I recognized his voice right away.
"I don't know much of anything but damn." :D This is one of those 90s movies that wasn't really great but yet extremely enjoyable. So many tear jerk moments. "Mum, that salesman is on TV. That man is not a salesman. That's your daddy." Gets me every single time.

We named our only daughter Grace because of this movie. She even has dark hair and fair skin and looks very similar to Liv Tyler (I’m Asian and my wife is white). Even though she is almost 7 now, I still call her “baby Gracie”. This movie came out when I was in High School, and watching movies just isn’t like how it used to be. This was such a big movie when it came out and I’ve seen it so many times now. Great reaction.
One of the great things about this movie is the combo, it has humour, action, scifi, etc. all together. It is also "more real" than some movies, where everyone lives and/or there are no flaws or issues. These characters were... well characters, they ran from the cops, the fought with each other, they were separated from wife/kid, and so on. Still another adorable reaction Blue.
My buddy and I went to see this in the theatre, when it first came out, when I was in my early 20s. We went in all hyped to see a space action flick. Near the end, I remember us saying this about it. "This movie has Bruce Willis, space ships, world destruction, asteroids, machine guns and nukes. SO WHY THE HELL ARE WE CRYING?!!!" "We're not crying...it's just allergies. We're allergic to Bruce Willis emotional scenes...God damn it." My Dad said he liked this movie because it was a great depiction of "Heroism without hubris."
That is one cute kitty playing on the floor. I lost my best friend a couple months ago and it brings me joy knowing the love people will feel for their new best friends. That kitty is toooo cute!!!
Just rewatching Trixie's reaction to this film for the 3rd time and reading some comments. You might be interested to know that the Queen song, "All Dead, All Dead" is about Brian May's child hood pet cat who had passed away. Its a sweet song. Almost similar to The Beatles' song, "Martha My Dear" which is about Paul McCartney's sheep dog.
Good morning, Blue! There were actually TWO movies along this same storyline that came out around the same time. The other one is "Deep Impact". I saw that one first, because I'm not really a Bruce Willis fan. However, after seeing Armageddon, I actually enjoyed his performance in this movie. Both are worth watching, although they differ in tone and story slightly. Also, you can't go wrong with Morgan Freeman as President of the US in a movie. 18:16 - Thanks, Blue.... My mother ran out on me, too. Right after my father died. To be fair, she really didn't have any real "mothering instincts", so it WAS for the better. But you saying this, given how I've turned out (never been arrested in my 55 years on this Earth) kinda hit home. Especially when I think of how my sister turned out (she has a heart of gold, if I'm honest).... this woman literally abandoned all of us (I have an older brother by her, as well). Despite all of the adversity we have all faced, we turned out to be good people. Maybe not "angels", but at the very least, we are decent human beings. And to me, that's enough. Our mother literally dropped us all off to grandparents (my brother and sister to our mother's adoptive parents, and me to my father's mother), and straight up walked away to go live her own life. So, yeah.... that's my reality.
I remember seeing this in the cinema in 1998 when I was 10 years old and the ending made me cry a lot 😢. It's still so emotional to me with the great acting and music 😭. Definitely one of my favorite movies😄 and once again amazing reaction Blue 💙!
Fun Fact : Liv Taylor is the daughter from Steven Tayler ( leadsinger from the Band Aerosmith and one track is "i dont want to miss a thing " at the start of the Credits in the end of the movie)
I was an electronic technician on off shore drilling rigs. A really good movie you should watch is Deepwater Horizon starring Mark Wahlberg as the rig ET. It's a true story and shows a lot about how a drilling rig works. My son was on one of the boats that went to rescue.
Narator for beginning of this film was legendary Charlton Heston. If you ever want to watch truly a Classic with Capital C: Ben-Hur with Charlton Heston from 1959 is mind blowing epic. The charriot race alone is worth watching entire film. If you want to watch more lighthearted space film: Clint Eastwood''s Space Cowboys (2000) might fit the bill nicely.
I’ve watched quite a few of your reactions now, and I mostly just like watching these reaction videos to help with memory issues I have as well as relive through someone else’s experience watching a movie I love. @@GeorgeTropicana yeah but clearly the critics have always been kinda up their own hindparts. They tend to praise things like Uncut Gems (which was mediocre at best) because of its more arthouse cerebral style, and then absolutely trash summer blockbuster movies for being "derivative and uninspiring" like guys, we don't go to the movies because they are high art, we go because they entertain us. Sometimes transforming cars and big explosions is as complicated as it needs to be to be entertaining lol
The primary problem I have with this movie is the going 11 G's. Basically G force is the weight of earths gravity. if you weigh 200 pounds you'd literally have 2200 pounds of weight on top of you. You wouldn't be able to move, you wouldn't be able to breathe. You damn sure wouldn't be able to talk. If your body managed to survive it, then it would definitely be in massive pain.
Only just discovered your channel. This was a fun ride to the asteroid - made it all seem new again. Others may have made this point but sadly guns do work in space - not just inside the ship's atmosphere but in a vacuum too. Modern ammunition has its own oxidiser so it'll fire quite happily with no air around it. For those of us who are - ahum - a bit older (people who know Dr Suess, for example), that opening narration always send a shiver down the spine, because those are the dramatic gravelly tones of the great Charlton Heston. Star of El Cid, The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Planet of the Apes and Airport 1975. (Not joking, I loved Airport 1975, though I can't seem to find a copy anywhere.) Great fun - and you've covered HotD as well. My viewing is settled for a few days!
This is the most EPIC movie ever. It’s the perfect combination of everything. I died laughing when you said you’d volunteer to detonate the weapon if you were a prostitute. I’m still laughing!! Deep Impact was a similar movie but it doesn’t even hold a candle to Armageddon.

True crazy story: i've seen this movie at a summer night in an open air cinema and i saw the International Space Station flying over us (I checked after it was really it) and... a falling star too.
Peel Off, in this case means move off course. To fly somewhere else. Find another flight path. But because they need to be very specific about where they land, they can't "just find another path." They can't just drill anywhere they choose. Each ship has a specific landing spot that needs to be exact. Like Rockhound said they landed on a very thick deposit of iron; which is exceedingly difficult to drill through and will take more time than they have.
It is not only a good action movie but very very emotional, many iconic scenes that will get you down, pump you up or just flat out make you cry just like you did several times, dear Blue. Great reaction 😊👍👌👏
While this one was more popular, I always kind of liked “Deep Impact” a little better. You should give it a watch. Same basic meteor ending the Earth story, but less action movie and more a look at the impact on humanity facing their imminent extinction together through the stories of the folks on the planet.
A recent NASA mission made this movie obsolete. Recently we sent a spacecraft to make it crash into an asteroid like 10 million miles away and it changed its trajectory. We now have a literal earth space defense now. Along with that, we have telescopes in orbit constantly looking for asteroids. Don’t have much to worry about
Thank you so much for your reaction-it was so pure and genuine! I cried along with you, about as much as I cried when I saw this in the theater as a teenager. This movie is just amazing! The science is crap, but you can tell so much heart and soul went into it. And the music is just epic, emotional, and inspiring.
Deep Impact is a similar-type movie that I think you’d enjoy as well. It’s not as exciting, but it’s a lot more realistic, I think. It came out about the same time.
"Deep Impact" is much closer to what could occur. This is fun if you ignore astrophysics, but it is a live action cartoon. It did lead to Bruce Willis recommending Michael Clarke Duncan for "The Green Mile."
The first time I saw this movie I watched it with my best friend. We were both on the SWAT team. Yeah, I cried like a baby when Harry was talking to his daughter. No shame. Because, humanity. That is all.
Armageddon surprisingly has more than a few moments that hit deep. It doesn't matter how many times I see it. Those same moments get me. Armageddon is also notorious at NASA. Astronaut trainees watch the movie and have to notice all the "errors" or things that wouldn't really happen in real life, and there is like 170 of them or something around that number. I'm sure on your wedding day you will also look just as beautiful Trixy!
Dr. Seuss is an American children's book author who wrote books you're probably familiar with, like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "The Lorax", and "Cat In The Hat" (all three of which were adapted into movies). He imagined a lot of alien-looking landscapes and worlds, "Dr. Seuss' worst nightmare" is a good way to describe the landscape of the asteroid in this movie lol
So glad you liked it... I'm semi glad no one warned you because your reaction to this is as epic as the movie is. There's so much to say about this like Liv Tylers father did the music and I highly recommend you look up the back story to this! A side note other epic world ending movies to recommend in this order ... Deep Impact, Volcano, The Core, The day after tomorrow and 2012. But back to this and some of the questions you asked. Asteroids are full of different elements including gasses and metals so explosion like that are possible and gas can be pressurized as well. Near end what you were seeing with all the pieces changing direction was the asteroid coming into earth gravity's pull and so everything was being pulled toward earth....even the big piece and it was causing it to fracture. That's all I have though without re-watching to catch every little question you asked.

Rumours that I've heard that I take with a pretty big spoonful of salt, but I like to repeat anyway: NASA supposedly shows this movie to trainees just so they can count all the hundreds of scientific inaccuracies in it. Bruce Willis supposedly asked Michael Bay: Why do you have to train oil drillers to be astronauts? Wouldn't it be better to train astronauts to be oil drillers? Michael Bay: STFU.
36:09 "Why didn't they travel to a less iron place? They had the time." Maybe. But they had no way to travel. Sure, the Armadillo could travel. But it can carry 1 drill and a few feet of pipe. The rest of what they need is on the ship. What you don't see here is them pulling down tons of pipe and multiple drill heads from the cargo hold on their ship. Also, the ship couldn't just fly to a better spot, mainly because it's not a helicopter. The only way for it to fly is hundreds of miles an hour and you saw what happened the first time they tried that. Far too risky. So their only choice was to drill where they landed and hope for the best.
The official video for Aerosmith's 'Dont Wanna Close My eyes' song is really cool. It features actual military musicians playing the brass and violin parts of the song. Also, did you know the singer of Aerosmith, Steve Tyler, is Liv Tyler's father? Btw... I love your hair. It reminds of Tiffany & Co. I like how emotionally open you are. Some things in adulthood can make a person emotionally distant. It's to your credit that you care so much, even about pretend people in a film. Don't lose that, okay? I think when we lose or ignore the capacity to feel empathy, we lose an important aspect of being human and being alive. Just my two pennies worth.

Kind of anoying, and her little "they got no lives back home so its ok to sacrifice them, but NOT the cute guy with a fiance" thing pissed me off honestly, that kind of selective-based compassion is why so much shit hapens in the world. When you're younger, you relate to Harry as your dad sacrificing himself. As you get older, you relate to Harry because why wouldn't you sacrifice yourself to save your kid? When Liv says "Daddy?" when they speak at the end, oh man, instant rush of tears.
The science is shaky on most things, but the verbal description of the asteroid strike that wiped out the dinosaurs is fairly on point. "Only" six miles wide and, on arrival, it would have been travelling ten times faster than a rifle bullet. When this rock hit atmosphere, it wouldn't merely push air out of the way, the air would very literally IGNITE.
Hello Ms. Blue, the gravity thing. Simply explained gravity is constant acceleration (there is a thing called constant gravity but it is beyond the scope of the current explanation, which is different from the way you normally think about gravity). The gravity on the station is created by what is called centripetal acceleration. If you take small spherical ball attach a cord to it and start to spin it quickly the tension in the cord is a result of the product of centripetal acceleration and the mass of the ball. The station does practically the same thing as the spinning you create. However, instead of a string to resist the force of tension you got walls and floors. That is how micro gravity is made in space. Movie wise it also is cheaper to shoot. Hope it helps 😀

Test firing in airless chambers shows that guns not only fire normally but the bullets have a higher muzzle velocity and do more damage to targets due to the lack of air slowing them down.
I saw the premier of this movie and the theater was packed. I had brought a female friend of mine to it and she, along with almost everyone else, were bawling their eyes out. As a man, I admit I felt a tear a few times but especially when Harry is talking to grace through the tele video connection. I did the manly yawn, stretch, and wipe. I noticed a few other guys pulling the same move lol. The audience reaction throughout the entire movie with the laughter and the tears is why I love this movie so much, and your reactions were spot on with everything we felt. Well done!
Fun Fact: the scene where Liv says goodbye to Bruce was the deciding factor to Steve Tyler [Liv's Real dad, also lead for Areosmith] agreeing to doing the music for the movie.
To make it clearer, "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" was Steve Tyler's Aerosmith (Liv Taylor's Father). Trebor Rabin's orchestra soundtrack is very epic throughout the movie.
You are just as sweet as cotton candy. I didn't expect that. I didn't cry in the theatre, but I did cry later on a re-watch. I had my girl with me at the time. Guys are not allowed to cry in a theatre unless they are unescorted. But, eventually there were tears.
You should react to "Deep Impact" 1998. The theme of the film is pretty much the same, but it's a drama and more scientifically accurate. It's a great movie.
Bruce macked on Liv during this movie. Robbin' the cradle, that action hero GOAT! Some asked Liv if she thought Bruce was too old for her. She asked, "What part don''t you get, it's Bruce Willis."

You can't give the crazy guy the responsibility, he just said they all should stay and die. Harry is the only one responsible to get the job done, he has to save his daughter. He has a reason to get it done no matter what
I'm glad that you recognized Liv Tyler, who plays the daughter? The daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, has made a successful career on her own, starring most notably as Arwen the Elf in THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Another, similar, yet different, movie came out the same year was called DEEP IMPACT. It is also well done, with a great cast, including some youngsters that have since made it big. Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Leelee Sobieski play the young love birds who have a hell of an adventure. With Morgan Freeman as the President and Robert Duvall as the hero, the casting is stacked. And if you don't know who Tea Leoni is, you will after this.

Deep Impact to me is the better movie as it focuses on people and the planning involved with such a disaster.

Just rewatching Trixie's reaction to this film for the 3rd time and reading some comments. You might be interested to know that the Queen song, "All Dead, All Dead" is about Brian May's child hood pet cat who had passed away. Its a sweet song. Almost similar to The Beatles' song, "Martha My Dear" which is about Paul McCartney's sheep dog.

There were actually TWO movies along this same storyline that came out around the same time. The other one is "Deep Impact". I saw that one first, because I'm not really a Bruce Willis fan. However, after seeing Armageddon, I actually enjoyed his performance in this movie. Both are worth watching, although they differ in tone and story slightly. Also, you can't go wrong with Morgan Freeman as President of the US in a movie.
18:16 - Thanks, Blue.... My mother ran out on me, too. Right after my father died. To be fair, she really didn't have any real "mothering instincts", so it WAS for the better. But you saying this, given how I've turned out (never been arrested in my 55 years on this Earth) kinda hit home. Especially when I think of how my sister turned out (she has a heart of gold, if I'm honest).... this woman literally abandoned all of us (I have an older brother by her, as well). Despite all of the adversity we have all faced, we turned out to be good people. Maybe not "angels", but at the very least, we are decent human beings. And to me, that's enough. Our mother literally dropped us all off to grandparents (my brother and sister to our mother's adoptive parents, and me to my father's mother), and straight up walked away to go live her own life. So, yeah.... that's my reality.

I remember seeing this in the cinema in 1998 when I was 10 years old and the ending made me cry a lot 😢. It's still so emotional to me with the great acting and music 😭. Definitely one of my favorite movies😄 and once again amazing reaction Blue 💙!

I was an electronic technician on off shore drilling rigs. A really good movie you should watch is Deepwater Horizon starring Mark Wahlberg as the rig ET. It's a true story and shows a lot about how a drilling rig works. My son was on one of the boats that went to rescue.

Narator for beginning of this film was legendary Charlton Heston. If you ever want to watch truly a Classic with Capital C: Ben-Hur with Charlton Heston from 1959 is mind blowing epic. The charriot race alone is worth watching entire film. If you want to watch more lighthearted space film: Clint Eastwood''s Space Cowboys (2000) might fit the bill nicely.

They tend to praise things like Uncut Gems (which was mediocre at best) because of its more arthouse cerebral style, and then absolutely trash summer blockbuster movies for being "derivative and uninspiring" like guys, we don't go to the movies because they are high art, we go because they entertain us. Sometimes transforming cars and big explosions is as complicated as it needs to be to be entertaining lol
The primary problem I have with this movie is the going 11 G's. Basically G force is the weight of earths gravity. if you weigh 200 pounds you'd literally have 2200 pounds of weight on top of you. You wouldn't be able to move, you wouldn't be able to breathe. You damn sure wouldn't be able to talk. If your body managed to survive it, then it would definitely be in massive pain.

Others may have made this point but sadly guns do work in space - not just inside the ship's atmosphere but in a vacuum too. Modern ammunition has its own oxidiser so it'll fire quite happily with no air around it.
For those of us who are - ahum - a bit older (people who know Dr Suess, for example), that opening narration always send a shiver down the spine, because those are the dramatic gravelly tones of the great Charlton Heston. Star of El Cid, The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Planet of the Apes and Airport 1975. (Not joking, I loved Airport 1975, though I can't seem to find a copy anywhere.)

Peel Off, in this case means move off course. To fly somewhere else. Find another flight path. But because they need to be very specific about where they land, they can't "just find another path." They can't just drill anywhere they choose. Each ship has a specific landing spot that needs to be exact. Like Rockhound said they landed on a very thick deposit of iron; which is exceedingly difficult to drill through and will take more time than they have.
It is not only a good action movie but very very emotional, many iconic scenes that will get you down, pump you up or just flat out make you cry just like you did several times, dear Blue. Great reaction 😊👍👌👏
While this one was more popular, I always kind of liked “Deep Impact” a little better. You should give it a watch. Same basic meteor ending the Earth story, but less action movie and more a look at the impact on humanity facing their imminent extinction together through the stories of the folks on the planet.
A recent NASA mission made this movie obsolete. Recently we sent a spacecraft to make it crash into an asteroid like 10 million miles away and it changed its trajectory. We now have a literal earth space defense now. Along with that, we have telescopes in orbit constantly looking for asteroids. Don’t have much to worry about

Deep Impact is a similar-type movie that I think you’d enjoy as well. It’s not as exciting, but it’s a lot more realistic, I think. It came out about the same time.
"Deep Impact" is much closer to what could occur. This is fun if you ignore astrophysics, but it is a live action cartoon. It did lead to Bruce Willis recommending Michael Clarke Duncan for "The Green Mile."

Armageddon surprisingly has more than a few moments that hit deep. It doesn't matter how many times I see it. Those same moments get me. Armageddon is also notorious at NASA. Astronaut trainees watch the movie and have to notice all the "errors" or things that wouldn't really happen in real life, and there is like 170 of them or something around that number. I'm sure on your wedding day you will also look just as beautiful Trixy!

Dr. Seuss is an American children's book author who wrote books you're probably familiar with, like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "The Lorax", and "Cat In The Hat" (all three of which were adapted into movies). He imagined a lot of alien-looking landscapes and worlds, "Dr. Seuss' worst nightmare" is a good way to describe the landscape of the asteroid in this movie lol
See also “Deep Impact,” a Robert Duvall movie which came out at about the same time. Similar story, but more subdued, and earthly focused.

So glad you liked it... I'm semi glad no one warned you because your reaction to this is as epic as the movie is. There's so much to say about this like Liv Tylers father did the music and I highly recommend you look up the back story to this! A side note other epic world ending movies to recommend in this order ... Deep Impact, Volcano, The Core, The day after tomorrow and 2012. But back to this and some of the questions you asked. Asteroids are full of different elements including gasses and metals so explosion like that are possible and gas can be pressurized as well. Near end what you were seeing with all the pieces changing direction was the asteroid coming into earth gravity's pull and so everything was being pulled toward earth....even the big piece and it was causing it to fracture. That's all I have though without re-watching to catch every little question you asked.

But they had no way to travel.
Sure, the Armadillo could travel.
But it can carry 1 drill and a few feet of pipe.
The rest of what they need is on the ship.
What you don't see here is them pulling down tons of pipe and multiple drill heads from the cargo hold on their ship.
Also, the ship couldn't just fly to a better spot, mainly because it's not a helicopter.
The only way for it to fly is hundreds of miles an hour and you saw what happened the first time they tried that.
Far too risky.
So their only choice was to drill where they landed and hope for the best.

I like how emotionally open you are. Some things in adulthood can make a person emotionally distant. It's to your credit that you care so much, even about pretend people in a film. Don't lose that, okay? I think when we lose or ignore the capacity to feel empathy, we lose an important aspect of being human and being alive.

Kind of anoying, and her little "they got no lives back home so its ok to sacrifice them, but NOT the cute guy with a fiance" thing pissed me off honestly, that kind of selective-based compassion is why so much shit hapens in the world. Thats why I'm glad I stoped being like that long ago and got desenzitized. Like it or not, emotional distance as you call it gives ppl objectivity. And shes definitly not objective. When you're younger, you relate to Harry as your dad sacrificing himself. As you get older, you relate to Harry because why wouldn't you sacrifice yourself to save your kid? When Liv says "Daddy?" when they speak at the end, oh man, instant rush of tears.

The science is shaky on most things, but the verbal description of the asteroid strike that wiped out the dinosaurs is fairly on point. "Only" six miles wide and, on arrival, it would have been travelling ten times faster than a rifle bullet. When this rock hit atmosphere, it wouldn't merely push air out of the way, the air would very literally IGNITE.
A relative of mine once said that this movie was the personification of Murphy's Law: "What can go wrong, will go wrong"

Simply explained gravity is constant acceleration (there is a thing called constant gravity but it is beyond the scope of the current explanation, which is different from the way you normally think about gravity). The gravity on the station is created by what is called centripetal acceleration. If you take small spherical ball attach a cord to it and start to spin it quickly the tension in the cord is a result of the product of centripetal acceleration and the mass of the ball. The station does practically the same thing as the spinning you create. However, instead of a string to resist the force of tension you got walls and floors. That is how micro gravity is made in space. Movie wise it also is cheaper to shoot.

I saw the premier of this movie and the theater was packed. I had brought a female friend of mine to it and she, along with almost everyone else, were bawling their eyes out. As a man, I admit I felt a tear a few times but especially when Harry is talking to grace through the tele video connection. I did the manly yawn, stretch, and wipe. I noticed a few other guys pulling the same move lol. The audience reaction throughout the entire movie with the laughter and the tears is why I love this movie so much, and your reactions were spot on with everything we felt. Well done!
Fun Fact: the scene where Liv says goodbye to Bruce was the deciding factor to Steve Tyler [Liv's Real dad, also lead for Areosmith] agreeing to doing the music for the movie.

Trebor Rabin's orchestra soundtrack is very epic throughout the movie.
The graham cracker scene between Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler was breathtakingly beautiful and not cringy at all.
Deep Impact(1998) is even more emotional for me, and scary how it portrays what could happen.
You are just as sweet as cotton candy. I didn't expect that. I didn't cry in the theatre, but I did cry later on a re-watch. I had my girl with me at the time. Guys are not allowed to cry in a theatre unless they are unescorted. But, eventually there were tears.

Although it might be too much for most viewers since it does assault the senses a lot when it comes to the editing, lighting, or the sound mixing

But it is big, mindless entertainment in which Michael Bay excels his excess
Plus this movie broke box office records paving the way for modern blockbusters

I'm glad that you recognized Liv Tyler, who plays the daughter? The daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, has made a successful career on her own, starring most notably as Arwen the Elf in THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
Another, similar, yet different, movie came out the same year was called DEEP IMPACT. It is also well done, with a great cast, including some youngsters that have since made it big. Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Leelee Sobieski play the young love birds who have a hell of an adventure. With Morgan Freeman as the President and Robert Duvall as the hero, the casting is stacked. And if you don't know who Tea Leoni is, you will after this.
I swear this is the one of the very few movies...that I know that myself and other men have shed a tear in.
