to explain the dandelion is fragile by nature until it turns into a flower. the dandelion has been picked before it's turned into a flower so basically the dandelion is screwed by life and is ultimately trying to entertain the child with a hanger with trinkets in it. the main support for the hangers track is pain and torture (representative of the guns shadow). take note that the arms of the dandelion are dead sticks tied with yarn to the stem of the dandelion which represents the fragile nature of that childs support. that kid is screwed and will be a product of its environment

Randy Grover Independent consultant of Immunotec Inc. I know that for me,there's been many a time that without hearing a fellow human say, "some will tell you that it's all right, but the sun is burning in a dead sky,, but you can't keep living in a broke mind" has been the difference between handling current reality¬,, from sitcom wrap-ups to 'congenial' conversation, we're trained to act nd think as though errehthang's kew, or at least to not too often/in-depth bring up the shit that's not,, but one who needs reality can only hear "iz just the way it is" so many times before grinding his/her teeth out,,, there's some fucked up shit about the current standing of things, nd there's something very wrong about not accepting that, about being 'okay' with all this,, sometimes I just need to know that it's healthy to not be okay with shit that's jus not okay
Plus, in my view, their lyrics primarily advocate for freedom from the false-self, do lyrics get more life-saving, I wonder?genuine question,,whachu think, breh?

    "Keep The Dogs At Bay"
When it all comes down, what will be the cost?
A cold hard ground is refuge for the lost
Feed the flies, stave the hunger off
Breathe out lies expel them with a cough
You'll never keep me safe from harm
The hurt just keeps on coming on
I'm still trying to figure it out,
I'm still finding reasons to believe in better days now
I'm still trying to figure it out,
I'm still trying to figure how to keep the dogs at bay now
When the leaves turn brown and all hope is lost
Make no sound and brush emotions off
Breed inside, a fear that leaves you soft
Breathe a sigh and write that epitaph
You'll never keep me safe from harm
This hurt just keeps on coming on
I'm still trying to figure it out,
I'm still finding reasons to believe in better days now
I'm still trying to figure it out,

My theory of what the album cover means; a rather closed off person is being offered medication and prompted to take it by a 'peer'. However, his peer seems to be more inanimate and the shadow of a gun is being projected by the medicine, foreshadowing it's destructive effects.
Well, that's just my two cents anyway.

I always thought that the child was a coat-hanger abortion being held by a voodoo doll made from an uprooted flower (something that was obviously taken out before it could learn to live.) And basically that the whole motif was that life is more than a little f*d up, whether we are fighting the seeming magic of our universe or just common problems like people with guns. (Which I feel is a beautifully screwed up thing for an album suggesting mental health issues *cough*isolate/medicate*cough*
