      @@punkydamonkey989HUMANITY in a nutshell. I agree that America can be pretty bad, and our political system and late stage capitalism do seem to reward corruption. But... Try living in Russia. Or North Korea. Or China. All countries and governments are only as good as the people who run them and live in them. And ALL government, whether Capitalist or Communist/Socialist, eventually run smack into the brick wall of human nature with the force of a speeding bus. Humans are either leaders or followers. And our lack of independent thought often leaves us open to manipulation and exploitation.

    The Corporate Sector appeared to be the perfect location to do some series similar to Red Dead Redemption in Star Wars version if you asked me. Think about it, a band of outlaws or a gang of pirates persistingly raiding the ships of those megacorporations again and again. If Saw Garrera did not die and feel like he has no place in the Third Republic, then this will be the right place for him and his men to be. To fight against the corrupted corporations and help the peoples who live there.

    One would think that the Galactic Empire would not allow this corporations to even exist unless they were nationalized by them. The Galactic Republic’s was a corrupt mess, but the Galactic Empire was more direct in its approach with these corporations, but no doubt that they kept a close eye to them.

    • @grayscribe1342
      @grayscribe1342 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The Corporate sector bought a lot of the very old ships (too old to be used in he Clone War) the Republic had and many new designs the Empire rejected. Also, do you have any idea how much revenue the Corporate Sector generated fro the Empire? A region of space with thousands of sectors where the CSA could even define which species is sentient and which is not? The only reason workers had rights was that people work better if you don't treat them as slaves?
      Palpatine had to finance his military somehow. Removing a lot of the Repiblic's social programs barley paid for the Clone Army. The Corporate Sector was also the source of many resources needed to build the Imperial Navy.
      While the CSA was well armed to deal with criminals and local rebellions, none of their ships could stand up against a Star Destroyer. Also, a military force strong enough to keep the Empire at bay would have been unprofitable. The corporations that made up the CSA also had their headquarters within the Empire, well within the reach of the Imperial military.
      Palpatine was already busy enough to control what was formerly the Republic. Adding the Corporate Sector would have stretched the Empire's forces thin in the beginning. Probably too thin.

    The CIS was in a rough position to begin with. Without the Corporations, the genuine believers in the cause would've had a difficult time trying to attain their Independence. During the war, without the restrictions put on them by the machinations of Palpatine, they'd have won the War. But they were interfered with, so they lost their momentum and thus lost the War. The genuine believers in the Separatist cause are the victims in either case. A damned shame..

      I mean the real lesson would be more of what do you see happening now. Often writers focus on topics because they have become relevant for the times. As in we are slowly becoming corpatists.

      Our American Republic has not been operating out of the proper Lawful Jurisdiction since the 1860’s, you’re correct. 1850’s is when their, “U.S.A government”(British Territorial Commonwealth in the jurisdiction of the International High Seas) implemented, in a Gross Breach of Trust to the American States and People, military de-facto (legal) governments and subdued and turned our American Federal Republic, administered and constituted by our American Confederation Union The united States of America into their U.S. Territorial Democracy. Our American Confederation Union (The States of America or more well known as The united States of America), created in 1781, was created for the American States of ‘The United States of America’ (Major) Federation Union to operate within our corporate collective capacity. They’ve been mothballed by our National Representatives/Federal Employees in our American Republic since 1860s and 1930s. Now we have Corporate officers mischaracterizing and impersonating as Americans and the American People and States but are operating as Territorial State of State or residential U.S. Citizens of the United States of America (Minor) government services corporation since 1789 and as citizens/subjects/LEGAL SLAVES of the United States Municipal government. So yes you’re right, All corporations since the 1860s have been, in the most, evil and deceitful towards civilizations and the populous.

De-facto (Legal) Military British(State of State corporation franchises for ex., “the” State of Virginia, “the” State of California, “the” State of Massachusetts) Territorial Governments substituted and usurped, continuing to today, for Legal American Confederate States (State of State entities for ex., The State of New York, The State of Georgia, The State of South Carolina) apart of the American Confederation Union: The States of America. We have service corporations for the past 150+ years acting as the Lawful/Legal Governments that constituted these entities for essential governmental services with certain “delegated” powers also constituted for that purpose. Given under Good Faith and Credit, our Federal Employees/National Representatives since the 1860s have masqueraded as our lawful country: The United States of America, while operating as their “United States of America” under the false notion that our American Government, from the Confederation Union to the Federal Republic, as been operating completely and legally. The Reconstruction to the American Confederation Union: The States of America, was never started legally or honestly because the parties who were “Reconstructing” were never constituted or even in the correct Jurisdiction to perform such an action.
