But... This is zerg/marine/zealot only w extra steps. Still give it a pass. And a like. That one above all else :)
Hey, you forgot the free units! Free units are always a boon.
And no upgrades
You cannot upgrade. Which means that Zerglings are sheet - without move and attack speed upgrades die like flies. And without dmg upgrade they barely scratch fully upgraded enemies. Marines without range and stims, etc. Minerals only is harder than base unit only.
What about vultures?

Long grueling attrition warfare with high casualties for little gain. Sounds like trying to play Brutal without cheesing the entire campaign. Perturabo would be proud. That is if you weren't a xeno and if he could actually be proud of literally anyone, including himself.

10:46 Perturabo would scowl at your fortifications but Dorn... Dorn would probably send one of its battle barge to purge your xeno ass out of the planet too. Whatever wohich way, what would be more no-has than exterminatus burning the entire atmosphere so there's no gas left?
You've heard of static defense, but what about static offense?
Yeah with no upgrades high armor things like cruisers and ultras wreck lings/zealots/marines. Not surprised the BC mission was impossible.

One idea is to modify it to "never mining gas"
OOOr another one, if you don't use up any starting gas from previous missions it can carry over :) :)
Or just: if no gas is impossible, calculate required gas *(eg. to tech to transports) and allow that much. So for example Z8 would allow research on overlord transport etc.
