Pretty good. It obviously isn’t going to be an accurate portrayal though because 1. The ships from the episode were from a different timeline and would likely have had many technological differences compared to the prime timeline ships. 2. These were battered ships in the middle of a war zone and may not have been at peak condition or fully armed when the battle started. 3. The Enterprise-D could not fight or maneuver the way it typically would have in this kind of battle due to being forced to defend the Enterprise-C. (Picard directly said they would have retreated and outran the Klingons if it wasn’t for the Ent-C, so it was clearly a scenario he didn’t think his Galaxy-class could win even under normal circumstances.)
Nice battle. The Kvorts are good if used properly. I used to find reduced speed sometimes helps. Given the ongoing war the federation had with the klingons. I don't think the galaxy class would have been in yesterday's Enterprise episode if it had been they would probably have more in common with the galaxy x Dreadnought. It's more likely that the federation would have built smaller and sleeker designs like the Steamrunner and Norway classes. Possibly even the Defiant class. War often motivates progress. 👍
Agreed, the environment would dictate and influence the ship design and capabilities. The opposite would also be true, for instance how would federation starships look. If they never encountered the Borg, or the Dominion stayed in the Gamma quadrant. I can imagine we would have seen more exploratory and science vessels.
The Galaxy in the altered timeline was different then the one we see in the majority of TNG. They had improved weapon and defense systems due to their war with the Klingons. Generation's Galaxy might be more in-line with those improvements.
@@cursix64 Ok, however, I still think the Enterprise had limited torpedoes and energy reserves. Maybe you could include the C which has to be protected..?
You could have easily destroyed all three of those ships but you just didn't want to win
I don't understand your comment, I ran this battle both ways and won 🤔 😅
@TrekBattles I was thinking about the show John Picard didn't want to win the battle
Oh my bad, didn't get the reference 🤣🤣
that was fun. hate seeing the Galaxy get ganked though :(
I know what you mean, whilst fighting in a Klingon squad was fun. Having to destroy the D was bitter sweet.

Thanks you. None of my videos are intended to be an accurate betrayal. I like to think of them as inspired by rather than recreation.

It shouldn't be the Generations Galaxy, but the one during TNG.
Call it poetic licence 🤷♂️

@@cursix64 Good point. Picard even referred to the Enterprise D in that episode as a "Battleship" not a Starship.
