Growing up as a white boy in the hood it used to make me laugh how all my friends of a different pigment would laugh and make fun of my heavy metal but everytime I would put it on they would Bob their heads and move to the beat as if their brother made it for them. I came from a rough neighbourhood here in Oz, I'm white but the best mate was Aboriginal like most the population in the town...his family disowned him for wearing Pantera shirts and playing their music, used to beat him up for it. Nowadays we outta that town and he is a guitarist for a semi-successful band, and he always surrounded by a couple hotties...while most his family are in jail. Dimebag was voted as top 7 metal guitarists of all time by revolver magazine... And in my own opinion hes top 5! No one in that time span could do with a guitar what Dimebag could do. But that is my very own opinion on this whole thing. Some would argue that Kirk Hammet is better but again Dimebag was my hero for many many years. And again Zakk Wylde is a serious force on the guitar that is all but you are right
Pantera is the best "Power Groove" band in the world. They helped me through my youth. It's probably because of them that I'm still alive or NOT in jail. I found an outlet that helped me get out the anger from people, the system, and other things in a positive way instead of being destructive. Pretty much opposite from what these idiot kids are doing today! There is NOT a bad Pantera song. Dimebag is amazing in every song! "Art of Shredding" "Heresy" "Domination" "The Sleep!!!!!" Every Pantera fan has their own "The Sleep" moment. Where it's the song they keep playing, want to hear all the time, favorite. All the way to Reinventing the Steel "Yesterday don't mean shit", "13 Steps" "Floods" "Revolution is my Name" and so on. If I had to pick 1 song to be my favorite, which is almost impossible to do, but I would have to say it's "Regular People" of Vulgar Display of Power. Not to mention the guitar is so awesomely insanely bad ass that you can't even find guitar tab on how to play it, correctly or all the way through.

Pretty much opposite from what these idiot kids are doing today! There is NOT a bad Pantera song. Dimebag is amazing in every song! "Art of Shredding" "Heresy" "Domination" "The Sleep!!!!!" Every Pantera fan has their own "The Sleep" moment. Where it's the song they keep playing, want to hear all the time, favorite. All the way to Reinventing the Steel "Yesterday don't mean shit", "13 Steps" "Floods" "Revolution is my Name" and so on. If I had to pick 1 song to be my favorite, which is almost impossible to do, but I would have to say it's "Regular People" of Vulgar Display of Power. Not to mention the guitar is so awesomely insanely bad ass that you can't even find guitar tab on how to play it, correctly or all the way through.
You should check out NIghtwish with anything with Tarja, Arch Enemy's Under the Black Flag or Yesterday is Dead and Gone with Alissa and to really confuse him try Silent Hell's Reject. Was not expecting the little Asian chick to sound like that.
