ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This figure costs so much now. It is $100+ everywhere you look except BBTS and ToySnowman where it is only $20-$30 but all sold out.
I paid 70 for mine that was pretty EXPENSIVE but its worth it. "I think" he stayed in the package
For right man, especially after No Way Home came out, it was only $38-40 on my country's local marketplace, I was saving to buy it, now it costs wayy above $100

Like other people have said, they already did. But personally, I feel like McFarlane has already had enough representation in figure form. It’s nice to see John Romita Sr. get some representation since he’s the GOAT when it comes to drawing Spider-Man IMO

This figure looks amazing. As a fan of sculpted webbing i still prefer the MAFEX, but this one is still very comparable. I can’t say I love the way the Romita head turned out, something about it looks off, but that Ditko head more than makes up for it

I always loved that design with the shoulder pads and everything.
I'm not really a fan of the USM cartoon, but I gotta say, I honestly think that show updated that design to perfection.

I honestly have no desire for figures based on Spider-Man TAS. I grew up watching it as a kid, but I just think some of those designs are too goofy. I’m not the kind of person who wants things only for the sake of nostalgia, so I’m glad that Hasbro made the right decision and decided to make more comic-based Spider-Man figures instead of wasting time on Spider-Man TAS figures.
Wouldnt have bendable tentacles anyway so it would be a huge let down

Yes! Jack Kirby figure for sure. I'm really looking forward to getting this Spidey and I also prefer the original neck articulation over this new system. The neck hinge has always been my favorite joint on a figure and I'm sad to see it go.

Where can I find this figure? It's sold out everywhere and the prices are insane. The cheapest I can find is $60 and that's way too much.

This figure is extremely anticipated by me! Actually, this whole Vintage wave are EXCELLENT choices!! Armored Daredevil is the only one where I’m not over the moon for, because I don’t own his red suit version, but that’s okay.
Your posing brought a HUGE smile to my face! Spider-Man is my favorite hero, has been my whole life (my cat is even named Peter Parker), so this figure will be a cherished favorite.
Dock Ock's easily your favourite villain, and awesome review! Nice to see that whilst you brought up a lot of good things about the figure you still acknowledged issues, most reviewers I've seen so far I don't feel have done that so much. Also I was wondering when you review Electro and show the full Hasbro Sinister Six lineup (which I'm sure you'll do, I mean how can you not) I don't suppose you could address that the upcoming retro Mysterio is not in fact his classic design, the Lizard BAF in all green is in fact the classic look, I've seen some people fail to mention that about the new one coming out, but hey it's not too big a deal, keep up the awesome reviews Shartimus!

Easy, Shartimus' favorite villain is Doc Ock. And I honestly prefer the dumbell heads, more emotive joints with tilts and such.

Love this figure, its in my top 5 for 2020 for sure,would've liked it more if they had of done a more classic spidey symbol on the chest but other than that I think its fantastic, hope Hasbro makes a symbiote suit spiderman on this buck, really,really need that suit on this body. Your fav has to be doc ock. Used to be my fav for sure! Then I read some really good Goblin stories and fell in love with the character. But doc ock has to be #2 for me!
Oh man, I love Green Goblin too! So damn sinister and evil . . . just pure evil! But if I remember right, I think Doc Ock is officially the first villain to really go after Spidey. Before that, Spidey was stopping crimes, but with Ock he was on the defense. Oh geez, and the whole thing with Ock and Aunt May being together? YEESH!! Sorry, I still love Gobby, great villain! Amazing figure! The ONLY issue I have are those red pegs coming from the blue side. Besides that, it's excellent.

Cannot wait to get these figures. I’m actually surprised you didn’t save this guy for last.....then again he is he best figure in this wave. And that’s not a knock at any other figure in the retro wave, it’s just this thing appears to be on another level. Hopefully Hasbro will continue to use this body mold and give us a buffer Venom(that isn’t monster Venom). I think we need one in comparison to this guy.

Yeah they do. I can't tell you a single Toy Biz Legend that I think has looked good. Most of them are either too lanky or have gorilla arms. Hell, Silver Surfer's head was too squished and his knees were extremely loose.

I can't agree at all. I've had a few of Toy Biz's other Legends and they were complete and utter dogshit. Magneto had gorilla-sized arms, tiny legs, Silver Surver had a large feet, loose as hell knees, a really squished looking head, and Red Skull had balls for thighs. They were horrible. Not to mention their female figures are horrendous.

Huh. So going by the style of eyes, this Spidey figure is Ditko and Romita Sr., while the recent Walmart exclusive is definitely the 90’s Toybiz Animated Spider-Man.
I can't wait to get mine! It will be my first Spider-Man Marvel Legend! So glad it gets the SUD's highest rating!
