Steppers Division, Thank You, MUCH Appreciation. I copied your set up with the Eurorack mixer, the Scafrlette 18i20 and EFX pedals x5. After hours of studying your video/s and noodling around with my mixer, Logic, Focusrite and settings, I've finally figured it out. I'm looking forward to making my own DUBS and sharing with like minded Astronauts in different Galaxies. Thanks agin for all your videos...
Hi, Awesome video. I really want to do this. How do you prepare the Stems? Are they loops you create? What app do you use? Do you happen to have a tutorial? Bless up!
hey there, thanks for the comment, in this video we are working in Logic, the stems used to be one of our songs, so we had acces to the stems very easy. u can loop, u can also use whole songs.. there is one video on our channel called 'Learn Dub Mixing in 5 minutes', where we explain the mechanics in detail. Blessings
Aloha, I am using a TASCAM 208i as my audio interface....the TASCAM software settings panel wonʻt allow me the option to change the outputs to playback channels. Any idea on a solution?
thanks for the comment! you can try to use all outputs, but record back on channel 3-4 on your interface.. its just important that theres no feedback loop... usual outputs 1-2 are set to monitoring, u might skip that if u record on other channels. but i might be wrong as well
you are welcome ras.. btw there are more dub tutorials and dub performance videos on our channel, maybe u find more useful information when u check out our playlists. bless
hey there, thanks for the question.. its better to use actual stems for this.. but u can layer the same song tho, and use different eq settings to filter out some instruments like bass and tops.. but in general its better to use real stems. either record your own music, or download stems online there are some cool places online where u can download, check out 'roots makers'
hey hey, u dont have to deal with that, because you monitor the mixer signals, not the interface inputs.. the recording channel is usually muted while recording, and played back solo afterwards

Maybe a dumb question but is it possible to upload a mixed reggae track for example and split it into those different lines to remix it ?
hey there, you can use a eq, and filter out some instruments and layer them... but each instrument separate works the best
Hey, i want to know if it's possible to create stems from random reggae song or it's not possible

@@SteppersDivision Okay, thanks a lot bro
How do you deal with latency, from the audio interface
hey hey, u dont have to deal with that, because you monitor the mixer signals, not the interface inputs.. the recording channel is usually muted while recording, and played back solo afterwards
Please create in ableton
Thanks Denis for your comment! We prefer to work in Logic, but u can apply all techniques basically to all DAWs. The principals are always the same.
