I have this light. I have owned it for a about a month. This was an excellent video that really covered the strengths and weaknesses of the W2 very well.
I tested this by carrying it in my left shirt pocket and a standard 14500 light in my right pocket, a Lumintop EDC AA (running a 14500). And whenever I needed a light, I compared both in many situations.
Lower modes the beam pattern of the X2 inside a room is very uneven and a distraction. At the turbo its very useful. This is best used outdoors. In a room or tight enclosed spaces the Lumintop did a much better job. During a power outage it was VERY useful as it sets flat on a table top and works extremely well as a lamp. Shining upwards and reflecting off the ceiling of a room.
I always carry a pocketknife clipped inside my right hand pants pocket. For this testing I clipped the W2 there and found it to be very uncomfortable, if I carried it in a pants pocket I would just carry it deep in the pocket without using the clip. For carry I found the shirt or jacket pocket a great way to carry. But it is heavy, and most people would find that uncomfortable / awkward.
My final thoughts, its too heavy for common EDC, it is however a very useful outdoor light. Its turbo is very useful. A magnet on the end would dramatically increase its usefulness as I found I needed to stick on the underside of a car hood or the metal side of a furnace. I also missed not having a monetary on feature. I am however overall satisfied with it and I will be purchasing a W1 when I can find a deal on it.

Thank you for your detailed notes, I'm sure others have found them useful as well! Yes I do wish it had a magnet on the tailcap, similar to the X-O. Do you have the P9 version or LH351?

@@DarrenYeoYT That's quite interesting! I was just about to order an X2 but now you've got me wondering. Where did you hear about the X3?

@@ytr4 it's not officially posted yet, I hear this from a Wuben rep. But I have no idea what it looks like. I do know it actually exists though.

@@ytr4 I think it'll be a unique light alongside each of the other X models. Rather than supercede the previous ones.
