This is the best side-by-side comparison I've seen so far! Great sounds, amazing playing (was actually quite surprised by how good the Silver Sky SE sounded with distortion). I have a few Strats that I love (and a few PRS SEs as well) but I definitely prefer the tone of this NF3 overall. It combines what I love about my Strats (body shape and pickup tone variety), with the shorter PRS scale, overall build quality, and a rounder fuller tone that's not quite as hot as humbuckers, but with a thinner neck (the 2 SEs I have are wide-fat). This will most likely be my next guitar purchase hopefully. Thank you for the high quality demo video!
@@GuitarInteractive i think both are great thats clear, but the NF3 has some magic (thinking of early Santana- Sound) creamy but still clear, very interesting nuances.... in a Masters Hand.... really love your playing, thank you so much+++
The silver sky sounds like a strat, imagen that! The NF3 gives you the vibe of the strat but it's something a bit more modern sounding. I am more into modern sounding guitar that are less noisy so when I hear all the hum on the silver sky, I'm immediately thinking no thanks! great demo man!
Other gear reviewers should take a cue from the parts and effects you tailored for each gain level. It was so easy to compare the guitars across pickup positions because of how you structured the demos. NF3 position 3 wins for me across all three styles.
I think it’s more of what you prefer not what’s better, myself I prefer the NF3’s because they have a bit fuller tone to them, they almost have a P90 type of tonality.
The silversky's more glassier like a strat... I loooove that maple neck with birds... not sure if that narrow dish is just another business move ...i'm a p90 sucker n have gas so that nf3 with maple neck n orange body ( not the one used in the video ahaha ) is stunner !!! Aesthetically speaking is fantastic ... I'm not a fan of poplar bodies nor stock tuners used on se 's generally speaking ... i suppose u've got to do that in order to keep costs down ... i put locking tuners on my dgt se goltop and it's night n day .. the only reason why i haven't gone for that nf3 yet is because i'm not a single coil person ... but i'll definitely try one ...
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I always play my Strats with tone rolled down between 6 - 8. I prefer the rounder and fuller tone even if I do love the overall feel of my Strats compared to other guitars I have. This NF3 SE might just be the perfect in between for me...
I would already have an SE NF3, were it available with a Pattern Regular neck, because the slightly-brighter sound of the Silver Sky is not worth the additional noise.
What a Demo man!!!! Amazing! it helped me deciding! I´ll go with NF3, it suits better my style!
Nick, you are not only an excellent player but also an excellent presenter/demoer.
Thanks for the kind words and checking the video out. 🙏
True

It’s sounds like you could use an EQ (or even your tone control) to make them sound in distinguishable. Both are great
Nice one Nick! I've been researching the NF3 and this video helped a lot! 🍻
Glad I could help!
+++Hello Nick, thank you so much, this is how a Comparison should be made+++ just PERFECT!!!!+++
Thank you. Which one did you like the sound of more?

Great video, perfect for making a buying decision -- NF3 all the way for my tastes.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the Silver Sky SE clean and with gain
NF3 will be my next addition to the herd. 🤘🏻
Very big big big reverb / delay sounding , I love it.
Both have great tones. Silver Sky sounds more like a traditional Stratocaster, and the NF3 a little fuller and warmer. I prefer the NF3 tonality
Thank you for this video! So helpful. I was on the fence about the nf3 but after this I like it!
Lovely playing and sound. Both sound great.
Thanks for listening
I haven’t played the SE NF3 yet but I think I’d prefer it simply based on the volume pot being out of the way! 😅
SS for clean tone, NF3 for driven tone
Good video well done

perfect comparison thanks
Thanks for doing this, but the reverb hides the difference in the tone in my opinion

Great comparison
But i would have liked to hear the guitars without too much reverb on the clean if that what it was
Hi there
I like this guitar but i confused between maple neck or Rosewood!! Which sound better
The silversky's more glassier like a strat...

Glad you liked it!
If you like a Strat with the tone rolled back, then get the NF3.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I always play my Strats with tone rolled down between 6 - 8. I prefer the rounder and fuller tone even if I do love the overall feel of my Strats compared to other guitars I have. This NF3 SE might just be the perfect in between for me...
New se nf3 is better
I would already have an SE NF3, were it available with a Pattern Regular neck, because the slightly-brighter sound of the Silver Sky is not worth the additional noise.
I prefer the silver sky, more chime
From a sales POV, the NF3 cancels out the PRS NF53 (T-tyle) Silver Sky and dare I say the Swamp Ash Se (btw is a more versitle guitar tone wise)
NF3 for me.
I like the sound but dont like poplar
NF3
The NF3 sounds like every pickup variation is out of phase, unique but not my thing.
P90 tones without hum? Yes, please.
Check out the Railhammer Humcutter Nuevo 90 set.
NF3 is just a Silversky with bolder and thicker sound.
If you ever feel useless, just take a glance at the switched on amps on Nick's back😁
Geese I thought they both sounded great.
