Seeing as mustard is usually on the spicier side, the description was trying to say that the hit dog gets spicier (hotter) if you put more mustard on it. That's it It is just word play. I realized it while writing the comment.

Most iceberg videos just go into a reddit post and talk about some really common stuff in the second to last level X3 Seriously the familiar dream is so infamous I'm surprised to see people still learning about it...
On the topic of audio quirks, here's an intresting one I found of myself. I'm not sure if it works in the European versions but I know it works in the US version because it's the one I have: If you make a mii say the character "æ" or repeats of the letter like "ææææææææææ", it makes some weird results. It only works with the lowercase version and you can't add other letters to it or it won't work, for example: "ææææehf" won't make the weird noise. Singing it doesn't work either. "ç ç ç ç ç ç ç" also makes some interesting results.
It works too, at least with some letters! In the spanish version I have, many of my miis say "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" or "jsheywiyfhsjhfh" or any other random letter combination because when what you write is not an actual word, they pronounce every letter by its name, kind of like in animal crossing 😂😂 For the "rrrrrrrrrrr" they say "ererererererererre" and even for symbols it works too, some of them randomly say "plus" when I put "+" However I haven't tried with the "ç", it's a commonly used letter in my language Catalan but the game is in Spanish so now I'm curious how it's gonna say it lol
22:29 I'm german, so I can (somewhat) explain why there are elipsis! "Erzähl mir mal..." translates into "tell me..." or "how about you tell me..." which wouldn't as well with an exclamation mark, as it's like the first part of a sentence. Of course I don't know it exactly, but that's what my brain made sense of the title. Like "Tell me... who has no interest in Skibidi toilet?"
8:45 About the wooden spatula, this is actually called shamoji, and is a type of wooden spoon used specifically to serve rice. It was probably changed because of its lack of cultural significance in the West
I remember having my minor vriska from homestuck sell ruined meals at the morning Market. I brought a bunch and gave one to a mii who was trying to ask someone out and the proposal worked, somehow
LMAO, it's so funny because it just implies whoever is at the morning market is the worst at cooking and messed up everything but said "screw it, we try anyways"
31:45 "You can physically wave at babies during the peek-a-boo minigame in real life." is in the CCs but doesn't seem to appear in the video itself (unless I'm misremembering). I haven't been able to confirm camera-related reactions myself, but it does correlate with the otherwise barely-noticeable camera functionality in the baby minigames (more evident on emulators, as the game will even softlock at such points if it cannot detect a working camera). Also, on the topic of save editing same-sex married couples into the game, I attempted such a thing once only for said couples' home to become inaccessible on the Mii Homes menu, despite said home still technically existing (the only way I could access them is through the two children they had). Granted, it was with a wlw couple rather than an mlm couple, so I'm unsure if this is a unique problem to them. As for the "same-sex couple bug" claims, however, I don't think there's much evidence supporting it beyond a few supposed screenshots of the JP release where IIRC it's more likely they just set one of the Miis to the opposite sex. As it stands, one still needs to save edit them in.
18:52 Little fun fact about this: If two Miis of the same gender live in the same house, the house loads on emulators, but will consistently crash on actual hardware (at least on Old 3DS models, not sure on New 3DS) upon selecting it. And not in the elegant "The software had an error" way that boots you to the Home menu, it gives you a crash report and then restarts your console. So... it's not really that stable on an actual 3DS, sadly
I have been playing this game for seven years and only just found out that if a mii gets rejected there's a chance that an event will be held at the cafe where the mii's friends will try and cheer them up
That's actually SUPER common. The relationship event you probably haven't seen is the one where 2 miis in a relationship aren't getting along, so they can go to the beach and return to being friends but ONLY if you enter the beach while they are there and the event triggers.

Before, the community could do it, but they removed that functionality a few years back, so now I manually do it. I know they aren't perfect hehehe, very glad you enjoyed the vid :3
18:20 I'm pretty sure miis actually have a chance to make the panda suit when given a sewing machine, meaning you don't actually have to play the demo version beforehand!
Well, I'm pretty sure the miis can't pronounce it much better due to sample limitations LOL. But more messed up is that I'm unusure if I'm actually pronouncing it horribly and this is an ironic comment.
31:41 using ᵃh actually breaks the concert even worse, even glitching the voices for the miis. performing the glitch correctly breaks your mii's mouths, and you shouldn't save, as it could break the game. putting more ᵃ's or h's can cause more damage. for me, i use ᵃh, o, then a normal line. the max amount of ᵃh and o i was able to do was 3 before the game crashed.

Oh, interesting, I've never really seen that solution around, but it would make sense if some mii's action didn't have enough bytes and offseted the save but playing later made the game discard that action enitrely and come up with a new one that isn't broken.... Hmmm
As for why all versions of the game have a different translation, I assume it's because Nintendo games have their translations done by different teams based on region, even for the same language such as American and British English
My question there isn't why it's translated to multiple language variants, that's common. What I wonder is why they changed so many of the actual items of the game, usually translations just rename stuff, but tomodachi removes internationally known elements to make them more personal to the region for which the translation was made
My big theory on why this hasn't got a remake yet is because of how hard coded it was to not allow same sex relationships. Like modders tried and it broke the game quite abit. So my theory is that they'd have to completely rework the code to add that and they know that is a big feature people want.
I literally show in this video that it doesn't break that bad with guys, tho there are more issues with same sex girls. Modders didn't really try anything because they can't access the code at all, but I suspect Nintendo would easily be able to do it. More likely that nintendo is aware of the game's main issue, the "repetitiveness", and thus felt that fans of the original game wouldn't have enough reason to buy a remake, a sequel is much more likely than some people want you to believe.
@@SmashedTomatoes I agree-- Tomodachi Collection did well enough to get a sequel, and Life did WAY better than Collection. In the top 10 most sold 3DS games, I believe. Plus, there was two spinoffs in the form of Miitomo and Miitopia, one of which also got a switch remaster. I think the reason there was a port and not a straight up "Miitopia 2" was because it was a smaller spinoff and had less priority. using ᵃh actually breaks the concert even worse, even glitching the voices for the miis. performing the glitch correctly breaks your mii's mouths, and you shouldn't save, as it could break the game. putting more ᵃ's or h's can cause more damage. for me, i use ᵃh, o, then a normal line. the max amount of ᵃh and o i was able to do was 3 before the game crashed.

16:00 coco, you're changing!
*turns into a sandbag*
As for why all versions of the game have a different translation, I assume it's because Nintendo games have their translations done by different teams based on region, even for the same language such as American and British English
My question there isn't why it's translated to multiple language variants, that's common. What I wonder is why they changed so many of the actual items of the game, usually translations just rename stuff, but tomodachi removes internationally known elements to make them more personal to the region for which the translation was made

Lmao, yeah! It's funny, but I suspect non-cheaters don't know it
@@SmashedTomatoes I made a taco Mii because of that one baby outfit.
But surely a bestselling, mainline title like Tomodachi Life is enough for a sequel, right?
Maybe a Switch 2 launch title? idk
