That optimus figure is pretty impressive for 11 bucks. Most pieces out there cost dozens or hundreds of dollars, even non-official third parties and knock-offs.
It's a copie of the studio series Optimus prime which was 45 Canadian when he came out so not in hundreds🤓☝️

The GB Interceptor isn't really capturing video, it's actually dumping the ROM and is running it in an emulator that receives the exact same input as the real GB and sends that video feed to USB. It's a pretty cool concept, but at that point, it's not really doing anything more then the GB Operator or similar, while not being able to dump saves, play GBC / GBA games and isn't actually working with every games.
There is a video on youtube from the original creator of the device. It was originally meant as a DIY project. I wonder if he even knows that it is sold on ali express now. 50 is a nice margin for what boils down to ~25 material cost.

There are smaller portable PS2s available if anyone is interested, they usually don't take take ps2 memory sticks though, obviously they also run opl.
It looks like your portable PS2 ended up that huge cause they really waned to fit the large screen on it. Most I have seen use a screen about the size of the GC version you bought so you can actually hold it.
There's also the fact that it appears to use the actual motherboard from a PS2 Slim. Modified to remove the DVD Drive and hardware. The portable PS2 appears to be about the same size, or slightly smaller in surface area to a PS2 Slim. The larger monitor is probably just to take up the blank surface real-estate that would be caused by using a smaller one like what what was used in the GameCube. Using real hardware(the "hack" just allows the PS2 to run games without the DVD Drive, its still real hardware), you really aren't going to get much smaller than that. The only way to make it smaller would be to make it an emulator, like a handheld retro-pi.
Fun fact: The software they opted to use for the "hack" is actually stored on the Memory Card. I use Free MCBoot on my PS2 to play homebrew PS2 games. Which means, the modified memory card that comes with this device can be plugged into any PS2 and it will run the same way. Also means that when that memory card is removed, the PS2 will revert to normal functionality. It uses a modified "system" save to trick the PS2 into skipping it's security anti-piracy checks intended to ensure that only legal legitimate games are played on the system. Forcing it to load a modified firmware that has been altered. It was a vulnerability in the PS2 because when it first starts up, it checks the memory card for the system file, and sets itself according to the information found there. Normally that file is written by the PS2 itself, so the PS2 just looks at it, goes "everything is good" and little to nothing happens. The people who made Free MCBoot found a way to inject their own system save onto a memory card. And because the PS2 doesn't question the legitimacy of the "system" save on a memory card, it just reads it and continues on as it was told to by the save.

the portable ps2 is a neat idea but completly silly considering you can now emulate ps2 on phones now and the steamdeck makes for a way better portable ps2 device thats also capable of emulating just about everything.

2.5' SATA SSD's are super cheap now. You can get a Crucial, Silicon Power, or Team Group 256GB SSD for $20. Heck, 500GB Samsung 870 Evo's are only $50.
Same with DDR4 Memory, 32GB of name brand RAM is like $60. Great time to upgrade if you have an older system!
That transformer took me back. I used to have a very similar one, except mine was made out of plastic. If you think it's hard to transform it as an adult, imagine trying to do it as a 4 or 5 year old with no directions.

Aliexpress is no longer what has been, a lot of scammers are active, you order what you get, what else and then you file a dispute, they say it has been delivered and you have lost your money, so I can't say anything good anymore.
the 11usd ssd is about normal price, in actual retailers here you can get 120gb ssds for about 11usd, sometimes less. I have a cheap PNY sitting in the laptop my mom uses, going strong for at least 3 years now.
I want that little monitor, but not bad enough to spend $100 on it.

In my experience with macOS, it is atrocious to use with external monitors. I’m not surprised it worked with Windows and not mac.

Looks like that SSD doesn't have any DRAM cache, which would be why it's so cheap. Performance won't be great in general use, especially for random I/O.

I would 100% take that PS2, I mostly play JRPGs which don't tend to require the shoulder buttons. I also have big hands.
There are a lot of knock-off Transformers are identical to the real ones except made with crappier plastic and lower quality-control. Like someone is stealing the molds out of the dumpster behind the Hasbro factory or something.

That mini monitor absolutely strikes me as a use for excess or factory reject VR headset screens. That's a coincidentally specific size, resolution and refresh rate otherwise.
As of when I’m watching this video, Microcenter’s store-brand SSDs in 128gb are $14, which isn’t actually much of a deal next to the 256gb for $19.
So $11 isn’t particularly out of line.
