    Thank you for the tutorial, I've just purchased my own UCA222 for my DJ controller to input audio via RCA from this to my Laptop for online streaming with OBS. Very simple to understand.

    I have been racking my brainioid gland trying to get sound to work right on this new Windows 10 computer. When you said it was strange that Behringer bundled the UCA222 with a USB mixer that it dawned on me that I already had a Behringer QX1202USB mixer but never used the USB before. This has solved all of my sound issues! No need to get extra equipment or cables or adapters! Thank You!

    thnk you for saying that it cannot power microphones, I have been searching for every audio interface video if they support xlr and you are the only one that mentioned it.

      In that case, this device will not work for your microphone. Try Behringer UMC202HD, will work with up to 2 microphones, a musical keyboard, guitars and more, and plugs into PC via USB. Simple, easy to use.

    Excellent tutorial for a beginner such as myself. My research has brought forth some concerns or problems with drivers for the uca 222. Hopefully the asio4all will be the answer. I have purchased this unit.It should arrive tommorrow.

    2:55 Behringer seems to have made more models of this type of interface, starting with the original UCA 200, there's the UCA 202 which added an optical output and mini headphone jack with volume control, (with it's variation of the UFO 202 which has a phono amp and ground built-in and but removes the optical output) and the red UCA 222 which the only difference from the UCA 202 is the colour. All these can be used in the way described in the video.

    for two days I have been looking for a low price mixer, interface, mic etc. I (am trying hard to) live in Turkey and due to the change rates if I want to buy something for X dollar(s) I have to pay 4X turkish box. In this period of time I've been able to find whatever I look for. Your channel is incredibly useful.
    I wonder if I could ask about two options at hand.
    one is a set with behringer 502usb mixer, c-1 condenser mic, for 800 Turkish box. I think I have to buy a separate phantom power supply as well as the set. Let's say 1000 Turkish money. In this set only condenser mic confuses me. I would like to have one but this option both forces my budget and I do not want to hear any noise in my records. I think phantom power supply is a must for this set not to hear noise.
    the other is behringer podcastudio for about 550 Turkish box. there is a 502 mixer, xm8500 dynamic mic, uca202 usb interface, cheap but fine headphones. It might sound like an ignorant question but would there be noise in this set? Is uca222 usb interface the phantom power supply of this set? If I buy a C-1 condenser separately could I use this mixer with no noise or will I have to buy phantom power supply?
    Should I make myself used to the idea of buying phantom power supply?
    I am planning to record music, I also have shure dynamic vocal mic, I will connect electric and bass guitars by means of a 6.3 mm jack and I will record acoustic guitar and piano through a mic. What would you recommend me? Thanks in advance.

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You best option, since you already have a mic, get the Q502USB and a DI box. Don't worry about condenser mic for now. The dynamic mic (Shure SM58?) is what I used for years to record vocals and guitars, since my recording space was too noisy with cars and people, but SM58 did very well. You get condenser and you will have room and outside noise come in.
      No need to but Phantom Power for C-1 and with Q502USB, no need for UCA222. Make sure you get Q502USB not just 502USB, as the Q502USB has the compressor option that will help the recording.
      Don't worry about your recording not sounding like Radio Ready, that comes in time and by gaining experience. Just record and have fun.
      Best of luck.

    Does this works with your Android Stylo 4 smartphone, as well, maybe with an OTG ADAPTER?? I bought both a Mixfader Cross-fader, wich runs wirelessly with Bluetooth 4.0, & with the Mixfader Scratch app from the Google Playstore, with also the Mixfader Prolink SoundCard, wich is basically your Portable Mixer, for Portable DJ's, & is also Bluetooth 4.0 compatible. Their supposed to connect between the 3 devices simultaneously, so that the Mixfader cross-fader, & Mixfader Prolink SoundCard, & the Mixfader App, are all connected. And then your phone or tablet should ask you instantly, wether you want to use DVS (Digital Vinyl), or Regular Vinyl mode. And then you choose, & Skratch away,or mix away, either or. Im trying to get this set up with my Reloop Spin Portable Turntable, & my JBL CHARGE 4 Speaker, as well, & I made sure that my phone is compatible with both Bluetooth 4.0, & also USB HOST, as well. So I bought an OTG adapter, for my Type-C smartphone connection, & mite not even need that adapter, but where im not completely sure exactly the rite, or correct way of setting this all up correctly, im in need of some professional help from the veterans of the game, thanx my friend, great video, very insightful...... 👍💪🙏🔥💯🎄😎🤔

    Can I record in pro tools with a channel-by-channel mixer? Example if I have a mixer with 18 inputs, I would record channel by channel, or I would record everything in one input

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the unit is connected to the TAPE In/Out of your mixer, any audio on the main/master bus, is sent to the PC. You can record all 18 channels as a stereo mix, or if you play each instrument one at a time, then you can use multiple tracks in Pro-tools to record.

      He reviewd a lot of Behringer gear because he uses a lot of it. It's less costly than the competition and generally does the job very well when you know what you're doing.
      If he was really pushing it he should have mentioned the optical audio output. Which is quite brilliant for a piece of gear at that price level (In Europe they're EUR 18) from major online stores (a lot cheaper than the US).
      I output from from one laptop to another using it. Flawless sound quality.
