Thumbs up. I'm in the US. I know everybody is different. I say 3.5mm and 1/4" jacks. I think saying 3.5mm is the norm even when iphone's removed the 3.5mm jack, people called it 3.5mm and not 1/8". but 1/4" is much faster to say than 6.35mm - plus it seems more common to see parts advertised for 1/4" jacks. It's a weird world. I never want it to change.

This video was awesome! I was planning on buying a Behringer audio mixer similar to this and was unsure if i really had to buy rca cables and/or a usb interface or sound card. Money saver and time saver. 👏
Hi, thank you so much, your video is so easy to follow. The only thing is that my HP laptop doesn't have a Mic input. Can I used earphone input? (I'm guessing not) or do I need to buy a USB adaptor for audio cable and then plug Cable into USB port? Sorry, total novice questions here 🙈 thanks
You just helped me realize I should plug my PA mixer's "REC OUT" into my PC, not the speaker output into it. I was getting a headache's worth of bip bip bip electrical interference at random times monitoring my mic audio in my headphones using Voicemeeter virtual mixer and going out to my twitch. THANK YOU!
You can connect the computer to the mixer using RCA cables plugged into "tape out". The manual says that the RCA tape out connectors are electrically identical to the 1/4 inch main out connectors.
I was looking how to connect a mixer without a usb to a pc and was wondering if I could do it using a Zoom H1. This is amazing! It's easier and sounds clear. Thank you so much!
Actually you can monitor with a direct connection to the laptop, you just need to enable "Listen to this device" for the mic input. Unfortunately it usually have a serious delay between the audio signal entering the mic port and sending it back to the headphones, but better than nothing.
when you was told about noise coming from the mixer, you might need to plug the stereo jack into a ground loop isolator then the laptop/pc i have the same mixer and i know the noise its like slight buzzing sound. good video very clear to the point.
Hi sir. Let me ask, im confused with that. Because some are using line in, and here is main out. Which is which? Because i have a plan to buy audio mixer and just want to record my vocals. Please help. Thanks.. and also please tell me what materials that i need to purchase to start my vocal recordings soon. Hehehe
How did you deal with the level differences between the mixer line outputs and the minus 60 db mic input. I didn't see you use any padding in your connections.
i like how i started out with the exact same setup yeaarrrsss back. i might end up clearing out my old gear and keeping those for podcast work. Awesome vid!

Hi Sir! This is very educational--but I still would like to ask if I plug my mixer to my laptop thru the "phone" slot, would it work? It seemed like it didn't for my case (I don't see the sound meter of the mixer going off in any way while I speak). Please advise. Thank you for your time :D
I suppose that the quality from mic in is not as good as with an extra audio interface, or does the mixer come with an audio interface of its own? Thanks!
Question my man. I have headphones that use a XLR cable for the mic and a 1/4 mini Jack cable for the headphones. What cable adapter should I buy for it to work?
This video was perfect! I'm waiting for my AT2020 but i bought a euphoria mic interface with it. I;m considering this mixer just to push sound to my headphones from multiple sources.
Thank you for the awesome video! I ordered a similar mixer by Neewer and it has the 1/4 output as well as an RCA "2TK" output. Which to use? Also for a desktop with a line input, is that preferable over the microphone input?
Thank you so much for the helpful video! I have a problem. I have a Sure SM7b, Beringher Xenyx 802s and Zoom H1. I connect the Zoom to the main output, with two mono jacks. There are headphones coming out of the Zoom. And I get a very bad sound. Very bad quality and a lot of noise. When I connect the Zoom H5, the problem disappears. But I need to work with Zoom 1. Do you know what the problem is? How do you connect your Zoom 1?
Behringer does a very small audio interface that is USB that is even a better way to go into your laptop or computer. It does not cost much at all and it has a headphone socket in it so you can hear live what you are doing.
please can i ask a question is it okay if i use same black color of that cable not right not left 6.5mm its the same color black i ordered it already online and it is coming i hope it still works fine
Hello sir..... i only have a headset aux in my laptop. Can i plug the mixer in there? Another question is... is this technique good for audio listening only? Ive seen others using audio card with 4 slots in it via usb and connect to the laptop. Yours is simply cable. Whats the difference sir?
So for a dual stream setup, would I need two of those 3.5mm to big aux cables converters? Or just one for the laptop and the PC will use a different cable? Or will I need two of those converter cables for the PC as well
Great video! But I'm at a particular situation: The place I work at is organizing a "hybrid" conference, meaning that we will have the event on an auditorium, with live audience, but also panelists and audience on a zoom call. Can I have the mic being used at the auditorium connected at the same time to the loudspeakers of the venue and the computer hosting the zoom conference? I'd assume the mixer could allow it, but I'm not sure... If not, how could I have the online guests and audience listen properly to what the on-site panelists are saying?
Hello sir thanks for the clear and precise video tutorial... just wanna ask about that headphone i use earphone instead. So my question is would it still be plugged the same way as that headphone?? Thanks a lot.....

So glad i found this, my Muslady mixer was coming through clear direct into headphones, but playback was really bad and static-y on audacity like there was interference. i'm beginning to think it's because i don't have that 3.5 to 6.35 connector (currently, it's connected via usb to microusb). Seem's like it might solve the problem so fingers crossed
Hello... I try to connect my behringer mixer, but I use 3.5mm TRS to 1/4 in TRS adaptor for microphone... Can I use that? My microphone don't have signal, at all... I can't record anything...
