That’s not guacamole. You’re missing the cilantro, onion, tomato, jalapeño, etc.
That’s no more than a lemon avocado spread
Edit because I didn’t expect this to garner this much attention: you can consider it guacamole since it is mashed avocados, but the addition of vegetables, cilantro, and jalapeño adds textural contrast and extra depth of flavor. Also, I wouldn’t have even made the comment if the title of the video wasn’t pretentious/entitled; this isn’t the “right” way, just a way.

I’m from South Texas, Brownsville and we all make the guacamole differently but for the most part I add jalapeños or serrano peppers and cilantro. That guac 🥑 you made is still delicious. Will definitely eat that with carne asada 🍖 or a pollito and corn tortillas. 😋

From what I heard this is how most Mexican do It with the addition of lime juice. Therefore it's the traditional way. But adding all the other vegetables and herbs make it taste nice and complex

For all the comments saying that this isn’t the right way, there is no right way for guacamole. It can simply just be salt, avocado and lime, or it can have cilantro, garlic, tomato, onions and a whole bunch of other stuff. Stop saying that this isn’t the right way because there is no right or wrong way for a dish like this.

another way to tell if an avocado is if you squeeze it if its really soft its probably too ripe and has bruises if its hard then utsn it ripe but if its like a spinge when u just dig deep down with your pounter finger then its ripe

I understand why people put tomato in guac but honestly I think it throws off the flavor a bit. To me a simple guac is just avocado, lime, salt, cilantro, and onion. If you don’t feel like chopping anything up tho lime and salt only are definitely acceptable. Especially if you have Mexican avocados. The creaminess of Mexican avocados is unmatched.
