That’s not guacamole. You’re missing the cilantro, onion, tomato, jalapeño, etc. That’s no more than a lemon avocado spread Edit because I didn’t expect this to garner this much attention: you can consider it guacamole since it is mashed avocados, but the addition of vegetables, cilantro, and jalapeño adds textural contrast and extra depth of flavor. I could never understand savory avocado. I grew up treating avocado as a dessert. Mash it with condensed milk and cream, then slightly frozen for a few hours and you get an avocado sorbet or just blend them with some ice for an avocado milkshake.

I’m from South Texas, Brownsville and we all make the guacamole differently but for the most part I add jalapeños or serrano peppers and cilantro. That guac 🥑 you made is still delicious. Will definitely eat that with carne asada 🍖 or a pollito and corn tortillas. 😋

another way to tell if an avocado is if you squeeze it if its really soft its probably too ripe and has bruises if its hard then utsn it ripe but if its like a spinge when u just dig deep down with your pounter finger then its ripe
I understand why people put tomato in guac but honestly I think it throws off the flavor a bit. To me a simple guac is just avocado, lime, salt, cilantro, and onion. If you don’t feel like chopping anything up tho lime and salt only are definitely acceptable. Especially if you have Mexican avocados. The creaminess of Mexican avocados is unmatched.
