Significant cosmetic and mechanical updates for 2016 should place the 124bhp, £10,300 Tiger Sport back towards the top of the tree of versatile all-rounders but does Triumph's new kitty have the required roar?

Rode this and the Thruxton R on Wednesday.... Both very good bikes but the Tiger sport did it for me! Could not fault it for my needs & style of riding. Order going in on Tuesday!

@@PSmith-qp2lo Did you buy it? I'm on the market for another bike but I can't seem to relate to spend money on a bike with a dated TFT, I suspect they will soon release a new upgrade to this Tiger Sport, I also feel that the Tiger 800 feels a better buy right now... but I'm willing to listen to more experience riders and opinions

@@DavidslvPT no i havent bought one yet, the tiger 800 for 2018 got a new "digital" TFT dash and the cruise control was put on the correct side of the handle bars (left side) as well as many other subtle changes, so im waiting to see if the sport gets these updates.... i borrowed a mates 2013 tiger 800 a few years back and as the rider i absolutely loved it, but for some reason my wife got blasted by dirty air from around me which boggles my mind that the little fly screen on my 2015 street triple R provides more protection, maybe its the way im positioned that pretects her, or doesnt in the case of the tiger 800?? Im not sure but she litsens to music through iPhone headphones and never has a problem on the street R, but on the tiger 800 she actually gave me a dig in the ribs to pull over as the turbulence had pulled one of her earphones clean out of her ear and helmet?? My advice if you fancy a tiger 800 or tiger sport, ride both but personally im waiting to see if the tiger sport gets "modernised' for 2019... watch a guy on here called themissindenflyer, he's done some fantastic reviews, and he also is a Triumph fan... watch his 2018 tiger 800 review and compare the "view" from the riders point of view at the dash on both bikes... the updated TFT screen looks so much better, im sure the sport has the old speedo and rev counter from the first generation street triple?? Let me know how you get on David and what you think... sorry i rambled a bit 👍

Phil Smith thanks for sharing, I didn’t realise he had a review on the tiger 2018, I watched the sport 1050 review, going to check now. I have test ridden both Tiger 800 new model and old model and I didn’t enjoy much of the old model, but the new model felt really good. I’m not sure if I’m biased, because I tried the bike after doing a 4 days road trip to wales and back to London on a Tracer 700 and felt completely destroyed although I found it very pleasant to ride the Tiger 800 with a comfort seat.

@@DavidslvPT i haven't ridden the newest tiger 800, but as i said my mates was a good 2 or 3 years older the my street triple and to ride i thought it was great, really comfy, more than enough go for the roads and i thought it was rather focused with a goid front end for a baby adventure bike.... well good luck mate and ill keep this video in my history and fire you an update as and when anything my end changes... 👍

totally agree on the luggage. I have 2010 model and now considering my next bike. was not a fan of the last update due to for being a tall rider it was cramped.

Rank ride couldn't shift gear on test had to twist me foot, in fact foot started getting sore. At 85 the vibration through the grips and levers sent fingers numb, can't see through the mirrors to vibey! Ride by wire was jerky too do a proper review next time

Didn't have those problems on my test ride. On highway in heavy traffic at 120km/ h mirrors are fine. Test ride it for 2 hours. Don't you twist your feet in corners to get a better position? Had no problem with my feet. Greetings female driver, Kim.
