This guys really inspired me to keep trying at these really hard developer time trials. I just need to not give up and keep going until I can finally beat them
Looks really good, solid job beating a few more dev times. One thing I noticed you do that someone pointed out I do as well is the first drift boost in a series is usually a good instead of perfect. Really hard to wait that extra split second, but I found it helped me keep the sacred flames and blue flames a bit better when using the speed driving style.
Is the D-pad that comfortable? For the life of me, I never found it comfortable... Always used Analog, and I had to even learn how to u-turn with analog... Everytime I use d-pad, it's a disastrous race
That’s so weird Tiny Temple counted as a win when you tied. I tied with the dev ghost on Crash Cove and it counted as a loss. Fortunately after hours of trial and error I eventually won.
I tied with N.Tropy on Oxide Station and it counted as a win, I was terrified that it would count as a loss. (Not even daring to attempt any of the harder time trials, I'm not great at the game and I'll get an aneurysm if I even try.) Maybe it's 50/50 or there's a hidden number on the very end.
You're doing great man, keep it up! No need to rush. Remember practice makes perfect. And hey if you try Tyger temple you need to power slide to the left before making the jump to the grass THAT will set you into the proper spot to do the cornering (only for lap 2 and 3) you'll see what i'm talking about.
I recent took up the task at beating Dr N Trophy's Time Trials. When I was a kid I remember beating him in the original CTR. And now I'm ready to do it again. Maybe I might try to beat some of Nitrous Oxide's records. Wish me luck!

Nice ctr workout! :D I feel with you through the races. :D Can you imagine that ctr helps you to run fast over a longer distance (for example a marathon)? I firstly ran the half marathon below 90 minutes in September 2019. On the final part I always said "blue fire" to myself. Then the last km came and I saw the finish line. I imagined a blue fire turbo pad from ctr and reached the goal in 1:29:33. No one would believe how ctr can help you in your sports in real life. ;)
Dude great job. Watching your videos I’ve always considered myself slightly better than you but when I tried the trials I said “fuck this I’m not even gonna try to beat them all.” Now seeing you knocking out a handful of them I’m motivated to try to get back on the Xbox and do them myself! I just need a better controller because my d-pad gets stuck at times.
You got this broki! It'll take a bit but think how amazing you'll be at the game once it's done? :D Just don't do Meteor Gorge right away. Save that one for last it'll probably be your hardest track. The biggest thing I can see with most people struggling with the dev times is a lack of consistency in racing. Movements are erratic and not calm and collected. You're reacting rather than being confident in your line. It's like a rhythm. If you're lap 2 and 3 are within milliseconds of each other you're very consistent. Just make a pattern for each lap on each track. 2 boosts left 1 boost right hop U turn land 2 boost left 3 boost right etc. If you race erratically it becomes very frustrating. If you're consistent you can find flaws and make improvements until there are no flaws left. Meteor Gorge will force you to do this. You literally need a perfect race there. It's the only track with minimal room for error. Every other track the devs make plenty of mistakes.

I tied the devs time in Crash Cove and didn't get it. I'm guessing they still count it down to the hundreth of a second even if it doesn't show. Took me so much longer to beat that time :'(
Crash Cove is all about the first 10-12 seconds up until crossing the hill. If you manage to get the lead here, you can win for sure cause it's easy to keep the flame on that map after the first part (have to hug the corner really well tho at the end). But yeah, my time difference was 0.13, lol, and this map took me quite a while to beat compared to others.
My roommate also tied the Dev in Tiny Temple. It did not give him the win though. After screaming to the heavens he gently set the controller down and jumped out the window. You're a lucky boi Lewis.
@@Mosk17 I've had it both ways so maybe it's down to 1000th of a second? Either way. Redo them. Cause you have to beat them not tie. And technically you haven't.
On the last attempt on lap 1, you bounced on the Blue Fire pad twice somehow. Bouncing on a Blue Fire pad multiple times usually fills up reserves more somehow and if you bounce on it around 10 times before leaving it you can do a full lap of Cortex Castle while maintaining Blue Fire without drifting. Still a good job with the continuous drifts but that double bap on the boost pad might have helped too.

On Tiny Temple, you were less than 0.1 seconds faster. I had it go the other way when I got 1:19:74 on Crash Cove, same as the dev, and didn't beat him.
i think the structure of these time trials is: oxide: build reserves, velo: keep reserves and devs: cut corners. In velo trials was enough if you just kept reserves but in these you need a bit better strategy. If you just focus to get all perfect boosts you dont need to boost that often that you do now but instead concentrate to drive the shortest route you can. The mistake you kept on there were that you were at the wrong racing line that ended up going too inside in that part that slows your time.
Clockwork Wumpa I was basically equally matched except the developer kept going wide on the last hairpin corner which is how I beat him.
Tiger Temple was a bit difficult but managed to find a way to keep inside the corners. Some areas just need the right area from wide to going inside the turns very easily.
Cortex Castle- A bit ahead
Tiny Temple- Barely Ahead
Clockwork Wumpa- Just about ahead
love the reactions XD
You will persevere. ~the drunk Australian
I'm glad I quit CTR due to numerous bugs and don't have to suffer doing this. Love watching you suffering
like i Beat velo and it was really hard.. i rage quite a lot during the tracks but this.. i can't, i dont even want too try, i really wish you good luck in your journey too beat them all because thats something that i will never be capable of ! (from a French fan)
Very nice, 3 down in 1 vid👍🏻
fair play to you for trying man, iv tried some myself while i have beaten a few some are a joke and i have no chance at beating them (tiger temple and dragon mines) no idea how they dont slow down at all in the shortcuts
Good evening Lewis hope you’ve had a great day
Bean Toast you too!
