    I have had my own Franklin Arsenal powder dispenser for a couple months and I have made it a habit to check the powder drain every time I turn it on. It may be because I have started filling the dispenser with the drain open a couple times lol.

    Nice video, easy to follow. I’m just getting started and have been watching all of the videos I can. You are one of the easier people to listen to! Keep up the great work.

    Over the winter I consulted the “powder guru” at the best powder supplier I’ve found locally and his first choice was also H4350…completely unavailable at the time. Not wanting to delay, I went with his second choice, Win 760, which he says is pretty close to H4350 and, in fact, has very close charge weights. I’ll have to shoot out or buy some brass now that I’ve finished making the AR308 pattern rifle I’ll be shooting and I’m pretty excited to get started. With this rifle I’m not expecting precision accuracy but good hunting accuracy would be nice. You just got me all the more jazzed about it! Thanks!

    I love the 140g Matchburners. My gun really likes the Staball 6.5 with small primer pocket Lapua brass. Have achieved some 3/8" 5 shot groups. I have 4350 too but I like the staball better.

    375 bushing fits the shoulder better than the 400 bushing, 400 almost touches the bottom of the shoulder, the formula for finding the correct bushing also has the 375 as the correct bushing, but whatever works.

    Been there , done that on the drain. I bet everyone that owns a powder dispenser has done it at least once. :)

      West Desert isn't such a large place. BLM Nazis pretty much run people off much of the West Desert.

    Man I went through this whole video thinking I've heard this voice before and then you brought up your crawling channel! What are the chances I look up a 6.5 reloading video right after watching one of your sand hollow videos

    I agree fix your press so that it's very ridged, when I watch video's & see a press move or flex I cringe. I've done same thing with my chargemaster lite. Like your video's. Thanks

    1.532 doesn’t meet saami specs? And 6.5 use c375 comparator ?

    8:40 You gotta rotate the case in the comparator.
    Most readings with ammo req more than one location to be tested.
    Why are my very simple comments being deleted??

    Do you FL size with S die and use a mandrel? If so why?

    I'm surprised that you don't use a 100th of a grain powder measure. The charge master has a +/- 0.1 grains accuracy and in my experience it varies +/1 0.1 gr. So you can have a 0.2 grains variation over a group of loads.

    Do you do anything different if reloading for a AR vice a bolt rifle?
    Less powder, different primer, different COAL etc.?

    • @WestDesertShooter
      @WestDesertShooter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Biggest difference is length due to magazine restrictions

      @@WestDesertShooter Would you expect higher pressures when using the same round in an AR vice a bolt?
      Also, would you recommend Staball for 6mm 115 DTAC?
      Thanks

    • @WestDesertShooter
      @WestDesertShooter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A loaded round will generate the same pressure, a bolt action is typically stronger so you can increase loads for them, generally. Not sure which 6mm cartridge you mean?

    How much do you think all the equipment to reload 6.5 Creedmoor would cost?

    • @SALTYCOMBATDIVER-ExInstructor
      @SALTYCOMBATDIVER-ExInstructor ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what you get. A Lee hand press kit would be the cheapest option and less than $100 for everything you need. I still use mine despite having a Dillon 1050. I would recommend a Dillon 750 for anyone getting into reloading. That would have you under $1,000.
