That is a really clever design. We - in Canada - are discouraged from putting " perches" as it gives predators a place to work from. Am about to make a few nests for my backyard and will definitely have one of yours
Glad you like it. The idea of the balcony was my grandsons and it is screwed and glued from the inside of the front of the box and fixed before all the sides are assembled.

Oh boy...another great looking bird box that is not good for eggs and chicks. Access hole should be 1 1/2"- 1 5/8", never use perches, there is no access door for cleaning, no floor drainagen, no predator block to keep predators from reaching in, always make 3-4 shallow kerf cuts under the access hole, inside and out.

Perches are discouraged by RSPB for good reasons .

You can use woodprix, it has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.
Splendidly to see Woodglut have new plans which helped me save some money and energy for this construction.
