    This is the reason I keep looking through about a dozen videos until I found this one. Expert advice.

    I LOVE people who really know what they are doing. This guy almost looks relaxed while he does this.

    Very good point about periodically relaxing the grip. It makes a huge difference on big jobs.

    Greetings,
    Great presentation. Now, I will be able to explain it to my nephew...he was doing the cutting for us. Additionally, Purchased a new Fiskar Pole Saw at Costco, only $65...much better than my 35 year old saw.
    Thanks again

    Now we can hear what you’re saying without any juvenile distractions that are on most TH-cam videos.

    Thank you for the advice.
    I didn't imagine such a long pole of the saw. I was thinking about climbing on a ladder at 7 metres, then use a pole saw, thinking of a parallelogram to achieve pressure on the teeth at variable distance (a sliding tube on the secondary pole).
    Now I have to find a 10 metres pole for the saw, it is better from the ground (safety and stability to assure forces). And get another saw if mine doesn't have the stopper nose at its tip.
    I was thinking also about an electric sabre-saw, but how to create the pressure on the teeth?

    Very nice explanation, Gary. Using the rhythm of the flexure-bounce and keeping the tight grip only at the key cutting moment reminded me immediately of my aikido training: using the opponent's energy (the inward flexure-bounce) and remaining soft and relaxed except for the instants/moments of focused power (only momentary tight grip on the pole) to save your energy and strength so you can still be effective against multiple attackers (so you can go on to cut all those other branches that next need to be cut). I see aikido in everything, because the basic principles apply to just about everything in life. This was a fun and excellent example! (And taught me well. Now I have some good expertise in tree trimming!)

    Thank you, liked and subscribed. I noticed a Fanno brand on your pole head. I looked at their web site and don't see the yellow pole you use. What brand is the pole in your video?

    How do you avoid pinching the blade on thick branches of maple for example?

    • @racebiketuner
      @racebiketuner 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The geometry of the saw teeth is the most important factor. The difference in cutting between a cheap-o pole saw and Notch brand with Hayauchi blade is huge.
