      @@decomposingdiamond7355 totally agree, im white from a young age I was brought up on rock and roll my parents are musicians, it wasn't until later on and the power of the internet you realise that 'the King' Elvis and others Jerry Lee Lewis were imitators of the likes of Little Richard, Chuck Berry etc nothing against Elvis but the only reason he was labeled the king of rock and roll was due to racism of the white people refusing to listen to the original talent like little Richard needing a white person singing black music to accept it. Amazingly little Richard in interviews states that he didn't mind Elvis as it opened the door for him to a larger stage yet he was a victim.

      I live in Vegas and there was a one night only concert at Orleans Arena with Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Jerry Lee Lewis. I can tell you while they're all legends Little Richard just stole the show, it was INSANE! He needed help getting to the piano but once he sat down OMG he had that arena rockin'. I'm so glad I was able to see him at least once. I don't know how he did it but he never lost his voice.

    He didn't gain the super global game he justly deserved
    The type of fame awarded to Elvis Presley and the Beatles.
    Little Richard took the public stage during America's Jim Crow era and before the signing of the historic civil rights bill.
    He once said "He invented rock and roll"
    You all have heard his music and seen this man uniquely original performances.
    You also know if he had been white his world fame would have shot through the ceiling of heaven.
    He is gone now and I hope whatever dimension God sent his soul is devoid of racism and hate.

    • @brownin329
      @brownin329 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Mark Ehrlich No, my friend. Harold is right. The big three are Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and Little Richard. Only white people put in Jerry Lee Lewis because they must have representation n everything we create.

    • @PeanutSpring3
      @PeanutSpring3 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@brownin329 Interesting thought process, but I feel the same can be said about colored people excluding whites, because they believe that the white man can't be as good as the black in his own field, and if a white person is added, its only because of their skin. There has been recent hate directed towards Elvis because he "stole from black music." So you want him to play classical then? People constantly doubt Eminem skill and talent and refuse to put him at the top because he's white. The great Larry Bird of basketball was as good, if not better than Magic Johnson, but being white in a black man's sport strips away credibility for no reason.
      So in conclusion white people can be as good as black people in the entertainment industry, causing white people to put them on a pedestal, while black people rip away accomplishments... Then incredibly "woke" people will agree with the black people to make them selves seem like good people.

    I am absolutely heartbroken on the passing of the true King of Rock 'N Roll, the one and only, Little Richard. A huge influence on me but also an unsung civil rights giant as during a time of great division in America and extreme racism towards the African American Black Community, Little Richard pioneered the way for a black man in elevating the Blues and Rock into the mainstream of White America but still loved performing to integrated crowds. His raw stage presence and energy, not to mention his vocal range, power and musicianship dwarved the likes of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. They all performed each others songs, as most Rock 'N Rollers did, but Little Richard stood head and shoulders above them all. May you Rest in Peace you absolute legend!
