The Commander's final laugh was beyond satysfing. You can feel the relief and sheer disbelief in what he saw. After all, we basically beat Satan. THIS is a final boss, THIS is the atmosphere that we should always see and Capcom nailed it. This game is a masterpiece.

3 hours till I used the dragonator for the first time, and when I noticed the theme was about to change I was like no fucking way you sons of bitches you did it and my heart tried to break a world record

And for someone like you, this is your theme. A theme of proof for true heroes... honestly, it gets me emotional.
Any time a dragonator is fired, the music cuts out and OG Proof of a Hero plays. It's been that way since at least Unite, probably all the way back to MH1.
The moment the main theme started up after the Dragonator...that was just perfect. In that moment, just that simple change of music, it gives a feeling of hope, and drives you to victory. That theme just screams, "We can win this, this beast can be felled just like any other".
Out of the Monster Hunter games I played since 1st generation, this is without a doubt the best interpretation of Fatalis yet. I can feel the power and level of danger that he imposes here than any other MH game to date. In lore, it was said that it was a Fatalis that was so powerful that it single handedly separated the old and new world, which at one time was all together into one supercontinent. The MH team finally nailed the perfect Fatalis fight that they probably couldn't do back then due to hardware limitations. I love they brought back the old Proof of a Hero theme from MHFU. So much nostalgia.

everything about 11:26-12:11 is so cool, and really goes to show how badass Fatalis is, and how well Capcom did using the environment to help him look even more dangerous
Even the details, like the fact that it's raining on the map since the beginning, and after the attack it's not raining anymore because it released so much heat it affected the weather.
Here's how I rate this fight in terms of satisfaction for beating it: 6. With friends. 5. Carries. 4. Solo. 3. With randoms. 2. With randoms as healer. 1. First time. I've done this guy over 200 times, and every fight has been intense. Couldn't care less about the head break gimmick, he still makes for the most climactic finale to the game.
It took me a whole month of trying almost every day to beat this thing for the first time. I have never felt such a great satisfaction and sense of achievement in any other game.
We finally kill it. My tip is go for duo and set vigorwasp on palico equipment. Get safeguard and insurance(not all the time though). Just continue attacking him with pre caution and just dont die until its final phase. And wall bang him as soon as he’s out of rage. Bring your highest dragon element it could be alatreon or kjarr decay. Pair it with divine blessing and agitator. Devine blessing(secret) is such a saver from this titan. And lastly his last stage is hardest of all almost all his attacks are one hit so stay aggressive with extra precaution. You can do it guys happy hunting
@@Yukito746 Yep. I haven't beat him yet but I can always topple it. If you're playing in a team i can give a little advice. Put heavy artillery, and eat Felyne Bombardier (cmiiw it increases ballista damage) then use ghillie to load canon. Then draw it's attention to the canon and use temporal. Shoot only 1 canon first, then go to ballista to shoot 2 ammo to its chest. It would immediately topple it. Then look for the best time to use the 2nd canon. Shooting with roaming ballista could also topple it in the 2nd phase, but it would need more ballista ammo
I would recommend using the cannons for the first knockdown and saving the binders for his last phase. Focus everything on the head to weaken his fire attacks. And yes, divine blessing 5 is such a help. A mount is also great but not that easy to get. Also some levels of evade window are great. Morph axe with ZSD spam is great to damage the head.
I don‘t know, it‘s a different kind of difficulty. One fight(midir) needs you to have a higher concentration but for a shorter amount of time( I need about 6min). With Fatalis, I don‘t need that much concentration with my Elemental CS build because I have Evasion +5 and dodging becomes very easy, but I need around 25-30 min. In that time span I‘m bound to make mistakes. Also in while you have multiple carts for Fatalis, you have only one for Midir and you‘ll have to fight him from the beginning. But in the end, I think for me Fatalis is worse, because I‘m just worse at MH than I‘m in Dark Souls and in theory you can just cheese Midir with magic and or the thunder Bow... Thats just my opinion though

It's widely speculated in the Monster Hunter community that Red Dragons and Black Dragons are two pinnacle level Elder Dragons that perhaps have an ancient rivalry with one another. With how little we know still of Safi, it is pure speculation at this point though it could explain why Alatreon ended up in the Secluded Vale.
And to think this isn't even the Fatalis that wiped out a super-advanced civilization and sent humanity to near extinction with its own action. This is just a regular Fatalis, and it's one of the strongest creatures in existence beneath White Fatalis. The version of "Proof of a Hero" that plays is the exact one from the Monster Hunter PS2 game, the first ever, that also played when Fatalis was near death. The victory theme is that same one as well.
All the talks about Proof Of A Hero, had idea at all about it until I heard the nostalgic melody. The best track in Monster Hunter! It's a shame I just don't know the name of those tracks.
Just search for the "Village" and place themes in it. Like, Kokoto them or Pokke theme. And also their's an actual list of songs synchronous on a opera like settings of each themes here in youtube.
In my headcannon, the Diva and a full wyverian orchestra are singing in Dundorma, during this and during themes like Ceadeus theme, just like her during MH4U in Dundorma's theater
I got major goosebumps the moment the dragonator hits and a familiar theme played :D We were getting our ass rekt but I cant stop smiling... It was a really epic and nostalgic treat.
I can only imagine how many people reacted with "ohcrapohcrapohcrap" when they saw Fatalis' breath melt the THREE-FOOT-THICK METAL DOOR for the first time.
Haven't seen anyone talk about the fact that BFD fought Fatalis deliberately avoiding breaking the head for almost 17 full minutes just to show off the hellfire in second phase. That's some dedication, very cool.
Tip: use dragon pods wisely it can stagger him during his attacks I advise it to use in the air if someone is using ballista or roaming ballista and if he uses that Large wave of flame that can instantly cart you.
I remember playing monster hunter freedom unite in my psp, never even managed to beat fatalis once, used the strongest weapon there is and still can't even penetrate his scale... this dude is literally the ancient of ancient, the elder amongst the elder dragon.
That moment. That one moment when you pull that lever. The dragonator is fired, shaving off a massive 10% of it's health. And you hear it. Those first opening strings of proof of a hero start playing and you feel like you could do anything. you fight to the very end, pushing with everything you've got and then you see it... [MAIN OBJECTIVE COMPLETE] And a wave of relief washes over you. you did it. You just killed a god.
When old proof of hero started I got flashbacks from the firts time I killed a Lao Shan Lung back at MHFU.. Men that theme brings back so many good memories..

I’m glad it ended on this high note. I would’ve loved to see the stronger variants crimson and white fatalis, but this left me completely satisfied.

All the talks about Proof Of A Hero, had idea at all about it until I heard the nostalgic melody. The best track in Monster Hunter! It's a shame I just don't know the name of those tracks.
Just search for the "Village" and place themes in it.
Like, Kokoto them or Pokke theme. And also their's an actual list of songs synchronous on a opera like settings of each themes here in youtube.
Imagine there was an entire orchestra running around trying to play the music for the hunters while they fight
In my headcannon, the Diva and a full wyverian orchestra are singing in Dundorma, during this and during themes like Ceadeus theme, just like her during MH4U in Dundorma's theater

I got major goosebumps the moment the dragonator hits and a familiar theme played :D We were getting our ass rekt but I cant stop smiling... It was a really epic and nostalgic treat.

I can only imagine how many people reacted with "ohcrapohcrapohcrap" when they saw Fatalis' breath melt the THREE-FOOT-THICK METAL DOOR for the first time.
Haven't seen anyone talk about the fact that BFD fought Fatalis deliberately avoiding breaking the head for almost 17 full minutes just to show off the hellfire in second phase. That's some dedication, very cool.

Proof of a hero played I literally went from being defensive to full offense and it was badass a great sendoff to one of the best monster hunter games

Thank god weapons don’t bounce with purple sharpness. That would make this fight that more terrifying.
Even if it did luckily we'd have wounding to counter it. Especially since they buffed the wound time and gave us the shaver jewel.

I love how the main theme starts playing once you get him low health. That hyped me up so much when I first heard it
Tip: use dragon pods wisely it can stagger him during his attacks I advise it to use in the air if someone is using ballista or roaming ballista and if he uses that Large wave of flame that can instantly cart you.
