    Great video guys, I was at the London O2 concert and soundcheck last week, it's been top of my bucket list for some time, so I was lucky enough to get a 'Hot Sound' package, I had to settle for a seat in the 4th row thats all that was left, you were lucky to film the soundcheck, we were all warned it's OK to take photos BUT no video, or else !!! check in was 3-4pm, stood queued for ages, finally got taken to a backstage bar area for a drink and some hot finger food, veggie of course !! then down into the arena around 4.30pm, we were escorted to an area half way down the arena and sat waiting until 5.40pm before Paul appeared on stage , he played for 50 minutes, your Manchester soundcheck seems more professional, more lighting used, I suppose my big complaint was why we couldn't get closer to the stage at the soundcheck, that would have made it more special, after all we all paid a pile of ££££, over £700, I'm glad I did it but wouldn't do it again, it just wasn't special enough to justify the cost.

    Hi Josh and Lauren, thanks for the insight of your adventure. I thought you weren't allowed to film during soundcheck. Great to see how that was going. It's on my bucketlist too, I probably have to win the jackpot (which is first on my bucketlist ;-) )
    Do you have a video of the complete soundcheck. I'm interested to see the uncut version of that.

    This was a very fair, honest and balanced review. I get the whole price thing (which is eye-watering) but, in a few years when you've got past the cost you've got a very special memory - you saw a Beatle up close and playing a LOT of music!

      Honestly right, the cost of a second row ticket on its own would have been the best part of £300, if not more. So the soundcheck and merch made up for the rest of it. So when I look at it like that it’s a not too bad of a price to pay for that seat AND the soundcheck AND the merch.

    Several years ago I took my wife and 6 kids to the Hollywood Bowl to see Paul…..
    It was $3500.00 investment….
    It crossed generations and was a priceless “life experience “ for the lot if us!
    Good on you both!
    To quote David Bowie…. “When you know…you know you know”
    Cheers from LA:)

      It was a great concert. And the additional soundcheck songs really make it worthwhile! Thanks for watching!

    I did two Hot Sound Packages. Bought it on 2019 and won in (together with the meet and greet!!!) in October this year. I kind of agree with you on the fact that there should be a 'special area' and that is even more noticeable when you're on the standing admission field. If you have the Hot Sound Package, they let you into the field before anybody else. But you have to hold that place for hours with 50.000 plus fans crushing you against the fence. I will say the experience is still great if you stay within the first - let's say - 10 rows. But at the same time, I showed up early for my regular standing ticket in Maracana 16 Dec. 2023 and I managed to get the same spot, just 5 guys away from the stage fence. So it's true it'd be great to have someplace else to relax, specially on open stadiums. A second fence might work, but I don't think they'll make any changes to it.

      I did a standing only McCartney concert at Anfield in 2008, and I got there earlyyyyy to make sure I was at the front. It was awesome but it’s a long day!!

    Well done, very good! How the technology moves forwards in leaps and bounds, astounding! No mobiles or internet when John was murdered, and mobiles were just warming up, along with the internet when George succumbed to bloody cancer, what would they make of what is available to Paul and Ringo today? Many thanks again folks, a very good production.

    I think unless you’re a real super fan it’s not worth it. It’s not meant to be VIP - it’s the honour of seeing the soundcheck.
    I would 1000% do it, if I could afford it. I’ve seen Paul 4 times and been a fan for 30+ years.
    I was there on Sunday night, but up in the gods. Those tickets were £150 each, which was enough!

      Like I (Josh) said in the vlog, for superfans it’s absolutely worth it, and if I’m ever in the position to do it again I absolutely will. And even up in the gods it’s a good show!

    Great experience, thanks for sharing. I posted our impression of the VIP Hot Sound experience from the Madrid show on our TH-cam channel. Be grateful you had reserved seats. There it was general admission. Cheers!

      I’ll check it out! It’s certainly a unique and fun experience. But yeah, having reserved seating certainly did take a lot of pressure off in that way. Thanks for watching!

    I did the sound check in NYC back in 2017. Was disappointed they had us all so far back from the stage. I mean, I paid a shitload of money for my 2d row tix w/ soundcheck. The least they can do is have us right up front.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In all fairness, where they put you is absolutely the best position for sound and I appreciated that fact.

      I agree, I was at the London soundcheck last week, and they escorted us to an area half way down the arena, WHY ???, why can't we sit in front of the stage or sit in the reserved seat we have for the evening concert, as you say we all paid a pile of cash, I'm glad I did it but I wouldn't do it again.

    What a grotesque amount of money and Macca certainly doesn’t need it. We watched the same gig from a perfect spot for £143 per seat that Ticketmaster released on the morning of the concert. This venue is ripping people off left right and centre, we never buy their extortionate drinks either, and they’ll carry on doing it so long as people keep paying it. There’s certainly better venues in the city with much lower prices and much better transport links.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      It is a LOT of money, and it’s not for everyone. I (Josh) personally loved it, and it was great to see the soundcheck and be right up at the front, but I get why people might not be comfortable paying that much.

    The acoustic's in the Co-op arena are dreadful, been once that was enough also the seats were way to expensive for what we got. I was lucky enough to see Paul McCartney and Wings in 1979 at the old Apollo in Manchester better seats and acoustic's and a more intimate venue and the tour programs were "FREE" much better than the ripoff you get these days, I do realise that you wouldn't have got the numbers in the old Apollo but I do think that they could have designed the Co-op arena with a better seating layout and also put some thought into buildings acoustics.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I honestly thought the arena sounded great. When I was talking to one of the band members he said that they all thought the arena had great acoustics. Maybe you weren’t in a great section for sound unfortunately.

    • @nigem6611
      @nigem6611 19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@WanderWorksVlogs That maybe the case sat closer to the stage but where we were sat further back on the upper levels the acoustics weren't good at all also are seats faced the opposite side of the arena instead of facing the stage but I suppose it's a case of you get what you pay for. thanks for your reply.

    • @WanderWorksVlogs
      @WanderWorksVlogs  19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah the sound will have been bouncing around off of the roof of the arena and stuff. It’s a pity, I still hope you enjoyed the show!

      Fun fact, my mate tried to go to that 1979 Apollo gig, but the touts were selling the tickets for £15 and my mate said "no, too much!"
      These days he pays hundreds at face value. What a world.

      Crazy times! Even back in 2003 standard tickets for the Back in the World tour were like £35. And now look! Haha fair play to him though, while people are happy to pay those prices then why change?
