I lost my sister to cancer this year. It's been the worst year of my life, but it was music that kept me going, especially Beatles-related stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Macca this year, but I have seen him 3 times before. I hope you have a better year ahead & keep on rocking. Take care Andrew, thanks for sharing your continuing love of The Beatles music & have a wonderful Christmas time. 🎄

Weirdly, I was listening to George Formby's song Hindoo Man on the weekend, with its East Indian chanting at either end of the song, and wondering if George heard that as a kid...

Hi Andrew, thanks for the review. I saw some of it on TH-cam. He’s great for 82! There’s no doubt about that. I watched Paul’s concert tour ‘The space between US’ the other day and as much as I worship Paul it was hugely different compared to him today. His mic for starters I was not turned down…His voice was so much more powerful. He was still singing the sweet songs like Here there and everywhere, I will, the long and winging road and yesterday which hasn’t done in years. Having said that I hope he comes to Dublin again soon and it’s great to hear he’s hoping to finish an all in soon. He’s still fantastic and long may he continue!

I was at the O2 for the last night Andrew. I’ve been to 4 of his gigs now. I find that his voice has obviously deteriorated, but as the evening progresses, he seems to get younger.
You may also be pleased to hear, as I was, his final words last night were ‘there’s nothing left to say now but… see you next time’! How pleased I was to hear that.

Great review Andrew! I was lucky to be at the O2 on Thursday and there are no words for seeing Paul and Ringo together ( even from my seat away up in the gods). He is an absolute legend (as if we didn’t already know). All the best for a wonderful Christmastime!

Andrew, I'm sorry to hear that you've had a tough year. Things will be OK in the end. Remember that each trial we have to face is all part of life's journey. I've struggled with rubbish times myself but one phrase has seen me through - "there's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be".

I'll never forget what my mum said to me on her death bed, she said "remember you're a womble". And you know no matter where I am.. overground? underground? Or indeed just out and about being free I still carry that with me. I can hear her now.. Words to live by. Thanks mum 😢💓💓

Andrew, I enjoyed your review of the Manchester concert. It made me smile as, at a concert some years ago, I too caught a single piece of the confetti released at the end of the show and have it tucked away inside a programme. I also felt the heat of the pyrotechnics during Live and Let Die.
Merry Christmas and I hope 2025 will be a better year for you.

Saw him on the first Paris date. The place was packed and just the sheer age range of the fans in the audience was incredible. There was a little girl probably no more than about 7 or 8 having the absolute time of her life dancing at the front of our section for the majority of the show - it put a little tear in my eye I can't lie!
His voice was fantastic as well - and the change in his voice was the main reason I'd not purchased tickets for any of his tours over the past decade. To my ears he sounded even better than he did at Glastonbury.

I was at the 1st night at the O2 London, I've seen Paul on most of his tours and he never disappoints, great that he has finally added a brass section, his band are amazing, Rusty's guitar solos are spot on, perfect, too many highlights to mention but like you 'Maybe I'm amazed' if my favourite 'solo Paul' song and at the end the Golden Slumbers' medley, beautiful. I was lucky enough to go to the 'soundcheck'in the afternoon, what a treat, Flaming Pie, Let 'em in, Everyday, Queenie Eye and a few old rockers, that was my Xmas present to myself !! A day I will always remember.

Merry Christmas Andrew 🌲, Great review of Paul McCartney Live in Manchester 👍 flew down from San Francisco to Mexico City to see Paul live in concert, and the same thing you have said about his performance was exactly the same on November 14th, The man at 82 is nothing short of amazing and I cant help but think this may be the last time, but knowing Paul he just doesnt know when to stop, and you can clearly see that he loves performing live so I wouldnt be suprised if I see him once again live in concert.

Like the man says, it's getting better all the time. Here in the states, like a lot of the world, there is fear and loathing, but I know things will get better. Thank you again for your videos. I saw it twice. Once in Madrid and once in London. The best nights of my life. I cannot stop thinking about it. Absolutely incredible. I'm 19 and words cannot express how much Sir Paul means to me. Was crying for maybe I'm amazed, blackbird, here today and something. Blessed to have seen Wonderful Christmastime. My life is complete 😅. His voice live was so much better than I was expecting. I understand criticisms - it took him a few times to start Hey Jude in London as his voice broke the first couple of times! But he managed to turn it into a joke - but I thought he sounded amazng, and it was an honour to see the legend in person. Currently on a massive comedown from it 😂.

I thought it was absolutely amazing, 82 years old, the man is a machine. Sadly I lost my niece at the age of 18 2 months ago so this gig did make me smile and emotional. First time I've been on front row and I would have paid a grand for that show. My girlfriend isn't a big Beatles fan but she loved the concert. Highlight for me was Helter Skelter.

Hey Andrew, the very same songs got me too. I was crying like a baby. I saw Wonderful Christmas time in Glasgow, I believe in 2018 so I was expecting it so close to Christmas. It didn't disappoint either, it was brilliant that the brass section dressed up. They were amazing btw. I loved how the stage lifted up for Backbird, just amazing. Nearly 3 hours of the best, I don't know how he does it at 82, but boy can he still rock. Yes his voice has deteriorated over the years, no wonder and so what! You can see just how much he loves doing it, he always did and that rubs off on the audience. He has us like putty in his hands. I'm delighted to have got to Manchester on the first night. Thanks, as per, for your reviews Andrew. Wish I'd bumped into you. All the best and it will be ok, I get it 🎉❤

Great review Andrew and I couldn't agree more about the way the man makes us feel. I was at the O2 last night and during Band on the Run I was thinking about all the times I've screamed along to it in the car in my own little world, or put Paul on the headphones for the train home after a shit day at work. Because he always makes us feel better.

My wife & I were so lucky to see Paul in Adelaide last year, where he re-started his “Got Back” tour Down Under. So lucky to have seen a “live” Beatle! Incredible performance for an 81 yr old. (Lucky to have seen Ringo & his All Star Band in 2013 also). Feel very privileged to have been born in the late 60’s and lived through the Beatles era. Many of my friends would have loved to have been there too, but probably couldn’t afford to. Yes, I’ve seen the “Love Cirque de Soleil “ in Las Vegas too, and really hope that a Blu-ray will be released so I can show all my Beatles friends how wonderful that performance was, especially as many could not afford the ticket let alone the accommodation & flight from Adelaide. 🙏🤞🎶🎸😎 Thanks from your review Andrew, it brought back many fond memories. 👍😎

The tour program in Australia was free with entry. It's cool but in truth mostly an advert to make people aware of what Paul has done so you can buy the huge number of items available. Mostly a puff piece but that's fair enough at 82 years of age. What a wonderful review and one Paul fans for decades do understand how his positivity is such a huge part of the joy of his existence. I understand how his music can choke you up. Of course, like any human Paul has made big mistakes but unlike most of us he has been such a positive, generous and uplifting spirit. Without that the Beatles wouldn't have had that joy as well as all their musical brilliance. Thank you, Andrew. You too shine a very positive light on the world including when you and others might need it most.
P.S. A girl in my coffee shop has just commenced work there and is a mammoth McCartney-Beatles fan. Isn't that brilliant to know a 15-year-old can be an obsessed Beatles fan (with Paul as her favourite). She did not know that I was one too. She now will get all my McCartney and Beatles items when I die as all I have ever wanted was to know someone who would treasure it as I do. Both of us are wrapped with joy over this and her father who I spoke to who largely put her onto the Beatles. Coffees are so much more pleasurable when Beatles and McCartney music is being played over the speakers.

Beautiful review, Andrew! Yes, he does that for us. He gives us those moments that bring tears, inspire, and bring us to a place of pure love. I always cry-happy, flowing tears. How do you thank someone who gave the soundtrack for your life? Whose music was always there? Who consciously made the choice to offer positive, uplifting music his entire life? There aren't words enough for it.
The last time Paul played MSG in New York City, I took my goddaughter, who was 20 at the time. She was thrilled but when he started Elenor Rigby, she began streaming tears and hugged me so tight. Paul gives us life moments that we will treasure forever.
We've been blessed to be alive for the career of one of the greatest musical geniuses the world has ever seen. When I was 12, at the Wings Over America Concert in 1976, I knew, just knew, that Paul was forever, and The Beatles were, too. How lucky we all are!
May 2025 be a much better, happier year for you, dear Andrew! Thank you so much for your live streams and videos. They bring so much joy!

Nice review Andrew, I saw Paul (and Ringo!) at the O2 on Thursday, was a wonderful show. I first saw him in 1990 and never dreamed he would still be going in 2024. For me, his voice sounded decent, particularly on songs like Maybe I'm Amazed. Hope you have a happy and peaceful Christmas. Best wishes for a better 2025.

Fantastic video! Been on TH-cam watching the videos of the concerts. When you mentioned Maybe I'm Amazed, I even started tearing up. I was thinking about that song a few days ago. I bought the album when I was in college. A long time ago. If I find that tour book on eBay, I'm buying it. Thank you for the concert review. McCartney is #1. Makes me happy!

I went on the 14th too and it was amazing, my 11th time seeing him.
I first saw him in 1990 that was my first time seeing a Beatle in 1990 then in 1992 I was so lucky to be at George’s Royal Albert Hall concert and I only found out the night before it happened.

Great review of the McCartney show you went to, Andrew. I must say I am a little surprised you have only seen McCartney 6 times. I lived in the Los Angeles area most of my life and have seen every show on every tour McCartney has played. I guess me being 72 I can easily have seen him back when Wings in '76, their first tour came through and throughout. I don't know what it is that can do that, but I am glad you got a little emotional. It's happened to me as well, but only at McCartney shows. I saw McCartney's last tour of the States in Seattle Washington, but I don't expect I will be able to afford to see him again as ticket prices are very expensive now-a-days and that is if he tours over here tours again. That was his first show he had played in a while and his voice was not very good, but it still was a McCartney show and was great. Anyway, I do hope you will get to enjoy McCartney one more time. To you and yours, have a merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.

Great review, Andrew. You conveyed what it felt like to be there, moment by moment, song by song brilliantly. I hope I get the chance to see McCartney live. It would be an emotional experience like no other. As you rightly point out, who else has that catalogue of songs. They echo through people's memories and lodge there as soul comforters. Take care and hope things will be better for you next year.

Hello Andrew, what a great concert and evening, thanks for sharing the experience! Agree with you that "Hey Jude" and some other songs could have been swopped. The list is long. Imagine hearing i.e.: "Getting Closer", "Take it away" or " Once upon a long ago" live...But we have got so much from Paul through the years and the fact that he still is standing there doing great concerts is just fantastic! I hope he and Ringo will continue for many more years.

Thanks for the review, Andrew. Unfortunately here in the states we haven’t seen Paul in a while. I am hoping 2025. He comes back. I’ve seen him now numerous times and everything you were talking about as far as when you get choked up is when I get choked up. Whatever he does, Maybe I’m Amazed, I lose my mind. I think his band is amazing and I thought so since they started in oh one. Also, thanks for the info about the archive collection article because I was wondering if it actually mentioned you know keep watching. I hope 2025 is better for youand whatever you need you get

Amused to hear you also caught a peice of paper from Wonderful Christmastime! I did the same, and glued it between a couple of glass microscope slides and labelled it 'Wonderful Christmastime - McCartney 2024'. My new lucky charm 😂
In Madrid I queued up for 10 hours and managed to just get the row - so felt the heat of Live and Let die. I saw videos of the 2nd night at London and saw there was a malfunction, so the explosions went off at the wrong time during the peaceful 'you used to say live and let live' part - which made Paul jump - but he seemed to take it in good humour! Gutted to have missed Ringo and Ronnie Wood by 1 day though.

Andrew. Thank you for a brilliant review. I didn't get the chance to see Paul this time. Not being nosey. But you got to me feeling emotional. It brought it all back to me to actually meet John and Yoko at the Dakota. And very much later hearing the dreadful news. I'm sure you've got a lot going on around you in your personal life. But rest assured we're all he for you.
I once some years ago you to drink in a pub. Called The Cow Shed. In Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill. Got to know the manage and family quite well. Imagine years later I heard that's where Paul's Original Bass was found up in the loft. That's all I know about.
Anyway Make sure you have a Great Christmas, see you on here in the New Year. 2025.

I got a wonderful 2 Cd set of Paul in Buenos Aires and in soundboard stereo and loving it and mainly because of Now and Then on it. Happy Christmas to you Andrew. Lets hope 2025 will be a better year for you and everyone here.

Hey Andrew, the last time I saw Sir Paul was 30 years ago at Arco arena in Sacramento California U.S.A. I won tickets where I worked at and it was the first and probably the only time I would see Paul in concert. The best part of the concert was where we were seated. We were literally just 10 feet from the stage. It was awesome to see him live. When they opened the Golden one center in Sacramento where the Sacramento Kings play Paul McCartney was the first artist to open up the area. I couldn't afford to see him then let alone now. Glad you had a good time, and your right at 82 we might not see him live God willing in the future. Take care Andrew

Fantastic. Thanks for the review Andrew. Firstly hope your 2025 is better for you than this year and sending you all the best. I took my two teenage boys to last night’s O2 gig and it was as amazing as you described. Particularly poignant for me as both my Grandfather and Mum and Dad saw the Beatles in ‘64 (although didn’t hear much!!) - Mum and Dad in Leeds… so to take my boys was really special. Amazing how the generations have taken to him- one of my son’s friends cancelled his ski trip so he could go with his grandfather. Anyway it was a fantastic evening. Thank you again for all your great videos - always so enjoyable and informative. Cheers and Merry Xmas Simon

I consider myself so fortunate to have been at the second night at the o2. To see Paul and Ringo on stage together was beyond my wildest dreams.
I last saw him 20 years ago and this concert felt Ike a celebration of his life's work. I kept reminding myself that this is the same guy who played in the cavern with the boys, played on the roof top, the same guy who I watched a few weeks ago at the cinema at the peak of his powers with Wings. What an incredible man.
I also found myself choking up at the usual places, Maybe I'm Amazed, Here Today, Something...and the one that unexpectedly made me blubber like a baby was Let It Be. It's been a tough year personally and it just hit so hard.

Was there on Saturday night as well, 6th time seeing Paul (3x 2003, 2011 & 2015). Absolutely agree with every word of your review, except it was Maybe I'm Amazed that got me, it was our first dance at our wedding. 17yo son who can barely remember seeing Paul in Liverpool in 2015 had an absolute ball, conceding that his old man had cause to buy all those boxsets. Also worth mentioning that once you actually go into the Co-op Live, aside from the teeny tiny seats, that the sighlines and sound was fantastic. We were up in block 314 (we could see the horns behind you for Letting Go) and the sound was impeccable. Finally a shout out to the rest of the audience - respectfully quiet during the acoustic numbers, on their feet and singing for the up tempo ones. No bad behaviour and the people around me drowned Paul out (in a good way) during Something. A night for the ages and on par with seeing Paul for the first time in 2003.

Great review! I went on Sunday for my first time seeing Paul live. And I was blown away!
I expected something similar to Glastonbury so was made up that he did Drive My Car, Now and Then & Wonderful Christmastime. In Spite of All The Danger/Love Me Do really impressed me, the audience absolutely loved it. I couldn't believe the heat coming off the Live And Let Die pyro! There was some shouldering equipment and I was briefly worried about an evacuation!
His voice sounds great all things considered, and he's still got absolutely commanding stage presence.
I hope I get another chance to see him, but if that's it, I will consider myself very fortunate.
