Why would Kara and Clark be enemies? Kara was never supposed to be a villain, there were hints that she was being controlled by Brainiac and that her story is more complicated. Also nothing wrong with fluff between family members who are lonely and both the same age, the writing here is done well.
I just personally feel that if you’re going to have a twist like that then you should stick to it for longer than an episode’s third act. I don’t need Kara to be a full on villain but having them be antagonistic towards each other for an episode or two would be interesting. Clark gets beat up and when he wakes up he’s not threatened by her? It felt too safe. The fluff would have been fine if it didn’t immediately follow such a dramatic event. I feel this show keeps doing that to itself and it’s better than that. I’m really liking this show but these episodes were a misstep for me. I’m glad they work for you though
