Your comments about how it must feel when fans sing her lyrics back to her were right on. Just wait until you see Breathe - the most touching performance I’ve ever seen, anytime, anywhere.
Pau sings another song from the piano called Breathe before they go into Enter Sandman. Breathe is a real tear jerker! The 1st and only time she has sung it live!!!😊🎶⚡️
That primarily Spanish speaking audience of 8,000 sang all of their songs back to them in mostly English but also French in this 23 song concert. The really emotional song followed this one. "Breathe" was even more personal to her. If you do it, show Spanish to English subtitles. Then Dany does "When I'm Alone" solo on acoustic. Same with the subtitles.
It just blows my mind. A 13yo reads a story of someone found OD’d & turns around & writes a complete (& scary accurate) backstory of the ravages of addiction not just on the addict but on their family & loved ones? Amazing. “I surrender in my defeat” crushing😭
From XXI Century Blood, released in 2017 and written by Pau at just 13, Black Holes captures the painful self-awareness of someone battling addiction and struggling to protect others from their own turmoil. The lyrics reflect the protagonist’s isolation and resignation, shown in lines like “don’t hold on to me” and “they’ll start hurting you too,” as they push someone away to shield them from the consequences of their pain. Rather than a longing for connection, the song carries a sense of inevitability and self-sacrifice, with the protagonist accepting their suffering as theirs alone to bear. At that age she clearly did not have any first hand experience with that subject but her ability to put herself into the shoes of a person going through such a thing and write such an amazing song is a true sign of talent.
Great to see you back with The Warning, Matt, especially this one. Not much to add from what your early commenters stated. Some folks might say Pau knew someone with an addiction, but that seems to be inaccurate. Pau is just really empathic and skilled at embodying other peoples feelings, emotions, experiences. And as others have mentioned, "Breathe" from this same concert was done next, solo, no backing accompaniment, just Pau and the piano. It was a surprise to the fans as she had vowed to never sing it live. Yes, turn on the translator unless you're fluent in Spanish. th-cam.com/video/2idDr72FYA8/w-d-xo.html
Good eye on both the pant leg strap and the string section sheet music. Although between Black Holes and Enter Sandman Pau performs for the one and only time a gut wrenching ballad called Breathe. It’s not for the faint of heart.
Actually, before they go into Enter Sandman, Pau sings one more song, which is the only time she’s ever performed it live. Get your Kleenex ready. 🤟🏼🎹🎤🎻🤟🏼
The Queens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And remember, she wrote this at 13 years of age, with zero personal experience with the ravages of addiction, just what she read. All three of them are wise beyond their tears, but Pau takes it to another level. You need to react to the next song, Breathe. Be sure you turn on the English translation for the introduction. It's important.
@@davidrees4218 Knowing the history of the song is very important....if you are new to The Warning and don't know who they are it is Ultimately Important IMHO!
@CarlD70 no it isn't, not for a true reaction. Did you know the history of the song when you heard it the first time? You can apply this to any song by any artist, not just The Warning. Or do you ALWAYS find out the history of every song before you listen to it for the first time?
I don't think she was muttering anything, while the crowd was singing. I think that Pau was trying to jump back into singing, again and was still in a bit of shock.

She’s telling herself..don’t cry, don’t cry.
Written by 13 year old Pau about addiction for their first album, XXI Century Blood. Pau often wears skirts to avoid the pants leg thing.
The Warning is the "missing link" of rock 'n' roll to the new generation. Spread the word!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Not "missing", they have just arrived to bring us Real Rock an Roll. Just took a few decades to show up.

It's incredible. I get chills every time. Im seeing them in Guadalajara next February. Can't wait.
Theres one more song she surprises the fans with before they play Enter Sandman

Awesomely said ... Props
Great reaction. Black Holes to me personally is one those Warning songs that has Onion Ninja in the room 🥹. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘

It's only important if you wish to know the history of the song. And that is not important for a first reaction to a song.

At one point she was counting herself back in but that was when she smiled big.
