Have you met Bunny Guinness? She is very much like you - does AM-MA-ZING gardens but just does so much herself. She is very much somebody I think you would LOVE!
They funniest episode with the apple 🍎 picking. Julie is fearless and Luke such a gentleman. Love your guys banter back and forth! Keep the videos coming. They always make my week!,
You're fired! Hysterical! But, really, it doesn't appear that apple picker would be a future career choice for Luke!. 😆😆 Gorgeous apple tree. Look at that robot tractor go....I think we all need one of those. OMG, you two are so entertaining. 🌹🌹
I would have picked all the apples up from the ground, went through them, removed any spots and then canned caramel apple filling for pies. Honestly, with that much acreage, I would be growing everything to process. I've been growing everything on 1/3 of an acre because my Victorian mansion takes up all of the rest of the land. I am just imagining all the things that could be grown there and processed for the family and all of the guests.
My daughter and I were just talking about how lucky people who have lots of land are ... I have a small yard but have chickens, bees and a huge garden .... What I would do for a couple more acres to raise turkeys and pigs too!!!
I'm with Luke. Who could resist a gorgeous apple right off the tree? So impressed Julie picked all the apples and last year made 180 bottles of apple juice. Wow! I think the name Mapperton Apple Juice is perfect. No gimmicks needed. It is an exclusive product. Yum.
Best New Channel on TH-cam, hands down! Love the peek behind the aristocracy & that they’re sharing all the amazing history at Mapperton with the rest of us peasants! 😉💕🎯
Brilliant episode! I wish I could afford to donate because I love that you are working so hard as a family to save Mapperton. I truly love watching your family. APPLETON JUICE.
Just stumbled across this channel a few weeks ago and can’t stop watching old videos. I am from St. Louis, Missouri in the US and I have always had such a huge place in my heart for England. The history, the architecture, and the people. In America the average person does not have the respect and love for history like Europeans do. When buildings get old, they get bulldozed and something new replaces it. I love that history and architecture are valued in Europe and I love that this channel highlights that. The dynamic between Julie and Luke is hysterical. Thank you for transporting me to the beautiful English countryside in every video. Hopefully one day I will get to see your beautiful estate in person. ❤️
Next week is our trip to the Wiard’s Orchards , Cider Mill and County store. Cider Mill donuts and Carmel apples rolled in crushed corn flakes Fall never tasted so good lol. Wiard’s Orchards 184 years in Ypsilanti Michigan 🇺🇸.
My grandmother cut up apples and put them on sheets on the old picknick tables to dry. That was the only time we could play around food! We kept the birds and bugs off the apples! Did folks over there dry fruit? I remember she had a cellar for potatoes and maybe more goodies!
Julie is soo awesome!! And so wonderfully American ❤ she has such a "uh... ya... get outside and do it yourself! What do you mean you have never picked and apple - outside, and I'm filming it" husband then wanders off "I'm of no help" Julie carries on... getting the job done🤣🤣🤣🤣 being a super self sufficient woman, in fantastic shape from her yoga- nothing in the world more American than that. Once when we were at my husband's French cousins house, her young male cousin was pouring the water around the table. Our daughter (8 or 9 at the time) ripped the bottle out of his hands and poured it herself 🤣🤣🤣 I had to whisper to her later that SOMETIMES in SOM PLACES, you don't always have to do everything yourself- I was met with a blank stare....🤣🤣🤣 love it - love Julie!! Lovely hard working Midwestern woman, just getting up, getting at it and getting it done. I hope your inlaws understand what a JEWEL they have in you😁😄
Mappleton. 🙂 Definitely channeling Ricky and Lucy! Luke sitting in the tree eating and then throwing half eaten a apple is the crate 😂😂😂😂 The brushmaster type machine is impressive!
Mapperton just gets better and better! Informative, engaging, energetic, and addictive. It is so riveting to watch the management of the land and resources. More Nestor! Keep part of the estate wild and the complex ecology of nature we need to exist (you know, the basic stuff, breathing, water...) Mapperton Apple is fine, what about a bit for Devon apples?
Very fun episode!! Love the apple picking/tree climbing, it brings back fond memories!! Also agree the that machine looked like a transformer with an bad side... Lol Thank you for sharing your beautiful estate with us.
You should make the apple picking a paid tour... maybe charge the people AFTER and so give a discount if they pick over a certain number, or maybe let them keep some... After all Julie, you might know this better; it only takes about 5 or 6 apples to make a normal apple pie; 8 for deep dish.
Luke , you are well camouflaged in that tree." Your fired, go home" " Oh I own the place". Apple pie, apple strudel, apple cake, apple turnover, apple sauce, apple crumble, apple cider, apple juice. Enjoy making a feast. Name of products. " All things Apple from Mapperton." 🍎
I'm from a huge agriculture area for apples and cherries in the states, and if you dont know about picking bags, you should really look them up. They run like 40-70 bucks but they save you so much time and back ache. Since you can pick way more before having to come up and down. I honestly like the buckets more then the bags, since I'm short but they are amazing for picking all kinds of tree fruits. They are the same concept just two different designs.
Lol I just had to laugh at the title of this video. I know how helpful he was with the dinner setting so can't wait to watch this! Love you guys! Edit: 20 seconds into the apple ordeal...I see what you mean Julie lol. sigh.
You can shake the tree IF and only if, there's a net just below to catch them before hitting the ground. So in Luke's defense he's partially correct lol. (I love how the two of you banter.)
Just had a thought. Have you both checked for any possible concealed rooms? There were times where the nobility had to hide from the commoners after their blood. This includes priest holes.
Julie is absolutely endearing!!! I first saw her in Real Housewives of something or other and I only continued watching the program due to her. I felt she was the only sane woman in a gaggle of misfits. Wonderful video! Enjoyed every minute! Gratitude Julie!!
Luckily all of our apples are safely in - he does that just fine, but I usually have to worry when he goes out with the strimmer. There's no telling what bushes will survive.
1. call it MAPPLEJUICE, of course, Julie! It's right there! 2. Luke "holding the legs" - it would have been hilarious if he'd have wrapped his arms around your legs! I expected him to do that; alas, he was too chivalrous! 3. Your Chicago REALLY came out - OH MY GAHSH!!! 4. You two are literally already an old married couple talking over each other trying to get your points across, it just makes me laugh so hard! Y'all are complete opposites, you're perfect for each other!
This is just brilliant! Came across the channel from an article in the Telegraph, and as I no longer watch MSM anymore, you now have yoursleves a new subscriber. Funny, entertaining and hugely watchable; I can see a days fee earning productivity being lost here. 😲 I look forward to future episode, although there is a lot of catching up to be done. 👍🏻
Julie & Luke has it turned cool there? We get a taste of fall autum next week some get S N O W. Hope it helpsthe Sequia giants in Calf fires on their doorstep! Then the apples turn & are ready to be picked!
Julie- you need a crossbody bag to collect apples while you're picking, then place bagged apples to crate. Definitely, fire the "non-paid help" 😉 Lastly, these apples look like McIntoshe varietal.
Apples. I like Mapperton Orchards apple juice. That way you know the source of the product. The robot lawnmower could tear up a lot of territory and Julie is close with Transformers comparison. Kind of creepy. Thank you for sharing.
Just came across this wonderful place and its most recent generation of family life. At first I couldn’t figure out the couples’ dynamic. She’s hard-working and energetic. Him, I don’t know yet. Should I base my first impression on his apple-picking ‘skills?’ I sure hope she does a book on his great-grandmother, who was from Chicago.
The apples look delicious! Great job! You're both so funny and delightful 😊! I wish my husband and I could talk like this and not get upset! Lol! I love the Robot! Wow My parents could have used something like that to keep their field and meadow cleared off!!!! How wonderful!!!!!
It should definitely be called Mappleton Apple Juice. :) And actually, if you ever get to the point where you want to try to make cider, you can call it Mappleton Cider.
I bet the apple juice tastes yummy. I think they have cross body bags for when you climb the tree picking apples. Also they have long poles to help with the high ones. You both are so much fun! 🙂
It’s such a privilege to have such beautiful old apple trees. It seems likely that you have rare cultivars no longer commercially available. Perhaps cuttings could be taken and grafted in a conservation effort?
I’m cracking up! Your interaction with Luke is hysterical. I’d fire him to after taking several bites out of the one apple that he was able to reach. Sheesh! Lol

I can see why he fell in love with her. She is a bright light in a dreary day.🇨🇦🙏❤️
I concur! 🎯💗
Bot
Loved it when your husband said, "why haven't you picked this side". Too funny!
Do you also laugh at everything Luke says? Because my boyfriend and I laugh at his comments non-stop 🤣
yep.... !! It's called 'passive resistance' !! haha... if I do it wrongly, she will fire me....
Julie, you and Luke have gone full Lucy and Ricky! What a hoot! Your hubby is pure goofball in the best way. So charming you two! Such fun.
I thought that too. Lucy and Ricky.

Vicount and Vicountess Bickerson! 😂 You two are hilarious!!!!!
Boy, that robot doesn't give small wildlife much time to escape its hungry jaws!
Surprised they are cutting it back so much. Gorse and scrub are great for wildlife.
😂🤣😂 “he’s never picked apples🍏 🍎 before”!! 😂🤣😂🤣😘😘
Oh no…I’ve got one of those, I keep putting him in the doghouse but he reminds me of our vows 😂
You're fired! Hysterical! But, really, it doesn't appear that apple picker would be a future career choice for Luke!. 😆😆 Gorgeous apple tree.

Hi from Whakatane New Zealand. Brings back memories of child hood years where our grandparents had big backyards full of fruit trees and veges
The robot was surprisingly fast. Very fun and entertaining video. Luke is such a good sport. Picked one apple then ate it! LOL
Brilliant episode! I wish I could afford to donate because I love that you are working so hard as a family to save Mapperton. I truly love watching your family. APPLETON JUICE.
Watching these videos (and the adverts) is supporting Mapperton!
I LOVE how you truly appreciate the beauty and history around.
Thank you for sharing!
Joolz Guides mentioned your Sandwich history today in his vlog about Covent Gardens.

I love his accent 😘🤣😘

You are right ; Julie. We had a tree in our back yard and you don’t shake the tree

LOL! The duck was also there. They're so good at video-bombing.
Wow, every man's new toy.
That machine ate every bush..amazing robot..cleaned the field in
Seconds..❤
You can shake the tree IF and only if, there's a net just below to catch them before hitting the ground. So in Luke's defense he's partially correct lol.

I hope we get to see the cider being made this year. Possibly with Luke filming elsewhere at the time. 😂
He is picking the apples he's just putting them in his belly 😂😆
Julie flips out watching the mower
Just had a thought. Have you both checked for any possible concealed rooms? There were times where the nobility had to hide from the commoners after their blood. This includes priest holes.
I think this is my favourite episode of Mapperton Live 🥰 picking apples is so much fun, and Mr and Mrs Mapperton are so adorable together!
You two are sooo married!!
The most chaotic duo on TH-cam in a cute way! ❤️Love the Viscount and Viscountess! ❤️
The thumbnail is hilarious!
My heart is in my mouth seeing you on the TOP of the ladder. Promise me that you’ll get proper orchard ladders for next harvest.
Get a Wolf Garten pole - a long pole with a cutter with a little net to catch the cut apple.
Julie is absolutely endearing!!! I first saw her in Real Housewives of something or other and I only continued watching the program due to her.

Mapple juice 100%! Love the cute banter between you two! Hello from North Carolina
You two are hysterical!
This is a feel good show. Lol lol. Ha ha. Love them. ❣❣
It should definitely be called Mappleton Apple Juice. :) And actually, if you ever get to the point where you want to try to make cider, you can call it Mappleton Cider.

The best wives - The Swedish ❣️ 🤣🤣🤣...
Lol, Julie and Luke are so cute and funny!
Sheesh! Lol
Next year perhaps you should use the apple 🍏🍎picking tool to reach the apple higher up. We use one and it’s easy to use and doesn’t harm the apples.
Hello from Los Angeles, CA. USA ~ Love love loved this video especially the Apple 🍏🍏🍏🍎🍏🍏🍏🍏 picking part😂😄 You two are wonderful💝
Thank you!
Julie you are so funny, love love love these videos - thank you x
