After my inguinal mesh and plug removal (due to real rejection and extreme pain), the only treatment afterwards that slightly worked for me was nerve stimulation in the affected zone (inguinal branches). I mean, is not a lot but is around a 5 percent on each session and is cumulative. It must be done by a real FIPP interventionist (usually anesthesiologists specialized in pain medicine). Usually is spaced every 6 months as long as the effects are not noticeable after a few months. In fact right after treatment is painful (except the first 48h because the anesthetic injection after the electro modulation). Is also worth mentioning the location of the nerve via sonography and a small discharge in order to find the right one).
Afterwards the FIPP recommends perform some proper targeted exercise: triggers a different pain which swap the pain for another more muscular but more manageable (is something related with endorphins). But is a long and slow treatment.
One important note about the location of the nerves is that after surgery are slightly relocated.

Hi Paco, thanks so much for sharing your experience. I am one of the physicians in the video and i'd like to learn more about what you are talking about. Ive had good success with using a temporary peripheral nerve stimulator that is implanted for two months, but have not heard of this short treatment that you repeat every six months, can you tell me more? What is it called or who did it for you? I'll take any infomration to learn more, thanks!

@@NadivSamimiM.D. Of course. Reading my reports as well as my experience in the OR with my Doctor the procedure is as follows: after careful identification of nerves using both sonography and a positive sensory stimulation (

And the prescribed light to moderate targeted exercise (avoiding valsalva maneuvers) is important.

I suffered an inguinal hernia at work, shortly after that happened my Scrotum started to swell to the size of a grapefruit. Turned out to be an infected hydrocele and I had to have a drainage of the left scrotum infection. Now the doctors say the two are not related.....

Hi, firstly, thank you for the very informative videos. In a prior video you mentioned that one should request one's medical and surgery record from the hospital where the surgery took place , in my case at a hospital near Toronto in Canada..... i requested these records from the hospital over the phone and i was told they would be sent to me the following day and that was a few weeks ago and i have called and left messages multiple times... Is there any reason why the hospital would be holding back these records from me? and do i have the rights to them legally?

You should have access to your own medical records
