I know this might be a bit late, but thank you so much for this tutorial. I have just started playing this game after only having tried it in my childhood, and this content certainly is the best help to understand how to play the game, so thanks again!
Finally I found the video I have been looking for! Thank you so much I have made my deck and am now going to go into a game to get some practise I have just started to play a friend has also just started so I am going to try and get the advantage haha! Cheers for the video!
Dutch is really strong at moment, I feel like you can beat hem in age 2 but if they go up to age 3 with Ruyter they are really difficult, so many times I got run over against like 30-40 Ruyters
@@Widgie There's a Steam guide about it which I based the strat on. The short of it is by shipping the Riding School card, researching Mass Calvary from the Church and Wild West in the Saloon, you can make Mounted Grandaderos INSTANTLY. Considering that they are only 120 food and give 24 XP, you can chain getting Fort cards pushing the enemy back to their base. At least in theory.
@@Toonrick12 I know this lame strategy haha. I was playing a treaty game as the Dutch and I got absolutely rekt by them because they are so hard to counter when they're massed
Put all vills on coin crates first so you can get the first vill asap, then scout. You should also move 1 villain to shoot the herd before the crates are used up. Multiple vills shooting wastes time in which they could be moving towards the dead animal. 16 vills is better if you are new to this and have bad macro.
I know I'm like... a year+ late to this vid, but suggestion: Also make a deck for treaty game modes, as especially for Dutch this deck can look VERY different than normal 1v1/Team decks. Great video though!!!
I honestly think, that you should neither send the vills or the 600 wood. Just save the shipment and age up with the exiled prince and ship ruyters asap.
@@Widgie Not exactly FF because you already shipped the 700w, 8 pikes and the bank wagon beforehand. But also there is nothing wrong with shipping the 600w / vills at this point. But maybe it would have been better to save the shipment to have it immediately available when hitting age 3 with the exiled prince. But I am by no means a Dutch main. But nevertheless WP, nice to see you improving.
Make sure you are maxing banks, and settlers. Existing bank limit cards now increase villager cap. I also believe Dutch have a strong revolution strategy.

It’s never too late for a nice comment! Thanks so much Pietro it really means a lot 🥰
Very insightful clip, especially since you are showing the beginner's mistakes; your content helped me a lot; thank you
I was planning on learning Dutch, your video came on the right time 😁👌👌
You’re welcome dude!
@Cairo Tristian good to hear it!

Yeah the Dutch are super strong at the moment because of the skirm and ruyter composition
Been watching your beginner guide. Can't decide which to main. But i'm inclined with Russia and Japan
Sounds good man!
@@Widgie waiting for beginner's guide for them and masterclass. 😁
Have you ever heard of the German Argentina treaty strat? It's an unorthodox play, but it's super fun to do. Don't expect too many wins though....
I haven't I'm afraid... Tell me more!

Here's a video of me (As Green) trying it out.

I read over the "treaty" part in "the German Argentina treaty strat", big oof moment 11
inca guide next baby
Unlikely because i haven’t played them in ages lol
For 1v1 Water - you definitely want the 1 Frigate Age 3 card. It is a standard water card for all civs who have access to it.
I don't think I have that card as the Inca
The 700c usually is not necessary unless you have messed up your eco and villain also has none for some reason.

Yeah but I don't play treaty I'm afraid
Skirm ruyter ok but culv , where is seige in this army composition

That's basically an FF isn't it. I think it's just a good idea for beginners to secure some banks before age up

I play only dutch, i cant figure out why my score drops after imperial age

The south African revolution is crazy
Should I get the Advanced Market Card card so I can buy/sell more efficiently at the market?
That’s one option but I would suggest that you use your wood shipments and then if needed have 4/5 vills on wood with the gangsaw upgrade
thank you
You're welcome 😊
The Dutch kick my ass .-, haha
Their eco is pretty crazy :)
Can you please show how to make 11 banks? I figured out yo 9 banks. I cant figure out 11 banks???. I know someone did. 11 banks do exist.
The unic building in Imperial age, the upgrade of gold can make 2 more banks.
Called the capital building
You need 600 wood cause of building houses
thanks for the tip!
Seems that playing as the Dutch is quite confusing, you need a proper strategy
If dutch make their banks they win the game. There is no counter to infinite money.
ruytars are trash against art use cav or culvs just a few would be enough, with ruytars if you want a kill a bombard it takes fucking forever mate
Yeah I've recently found that out....
Weak againist 1vs1 Extreme AI
British can't beat Dutch at all
