- So, no, I don't really have a library but I am getting quite a collection of books that could almost become my personal ASMR library. So I guess I have a channel library in the more imaginary sense. The sounds of books and covering dust jackets with acetate plastic is such a soothing sound. Very nostalgic for a lot of us. Libraries are such a part of our lives & history.

My elementary school library was the first time I recall experiencing ASMR. I didn't understand what that meant at the time but I knew that it felt safe and happy. Thank you for these kinds of videos. I am particular about the videos I watch and now I realise it's because I'm seeking out the safe and happy.

I used to work in my high school and middle school and elementary schools libraries. I love books and love the sounds of acetate and when I was working with the books covering them with such. I suppose you might say I was addicted to the sounds. I've always loved books, both reading them and working with them.
I think your grammar, punctuation and general expression of thought proves what you say. I really like your memory and comment, Patricia. So many of us love that particular dust jacket crinkle that so closely relates to our own good memories with books and youth. Your experience was unique. Lucky. ❤️❤️❤️

I have been focusing lately on trying to build a well-rounded personal library. I think everyone should have at least a small library of books on a variety of topics. Books are great things!

The creaking of dust jacket covers is one if my favorite ASMR sounds. I worked in the university library when I was a student. If a coworker was sorting books on the book cart, the sound was mesmerizing and I struggled to keep my eyes open. I'm doing a seashell identification video on my channel soon, and I deliberately sought a book with the clear cover for extra tingly sounds. Thanks for this video!

Writing on the card while it’s on top of the book? Maybe an impression of the writing could go through to the acetate? You’d have to write with a pretty heavy hand though! Or maybe if the pen slips off the card a mark would be made on the cover? I don’t really know, just speculating. This is another great video, so glad you decided to share it.

I was wondering if you knew how to do this to a soft back book i bought some cellofane from what you call dollertree and apparently its used for things like flowers and gift baskets ect but i cant see why it cant be used as a dust jacket. Care to experiment with me rebecca?

I don’t know how I would work it out with a paperback book but I do know that the cellophane for baskets is not the same consistency or quality as the acetate covers. Regular cellphone would rip or tear quite easily. Not that I wouldn’t be willing to try. 🤷🏻♀️ Hmm 🤔
@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction hmm indeed how would you go about getting it on as you cant remove them like slip covers then there is the problem of affixing it so many issues to iron out but cool if we found a way round it
