- This is a special request for Sonya. I made an exception for this circumstance and put my face in the video. Can we say, uncomfortable? Oh my goodness. I don't like it. But there it is. I have moments with customers and do a lot of hands-on book handling without my face in it. Of course I had to include some dust jacket book covering.
In this Soft Spoken version I have added some VoiceOver segments to keep a good vocal flow. This is for those who love Soft Spoken and Whispers. I hope it works out for y'all. Eek. I am so embarrassed. LOL.

When I was in grade school I loved going to the library. The smell and feel of the used books in their plastic covers made me love going there. I wanted to be a librarian at that time, especially watching the librarian take the card out of the book and stamp the date on it. Thanks for the memories.

Once again, i appreciate your time and efforts in this Rebecca. First from getting out of your comfort zone, then think of the lines and scenarious, buying the props, setting everything up to make it look like a library, and then doing a voice over, and the editing. Oh my goodness Rebecca! It would be difficult to say if I have a number 1 favorite video from you, but this is most definitely at the top of the list! The sounds in the video are amazing, it is especially appreciated by me since the library was one of my first triggers. We used to go as a family once a week, and I would sit in the chairs near the circulation desk pretending to read a book, but actually secretly soaking in those lovely tingle- inducing sounds. The role play was also very realistic because I can just picture you being one of the soft, sweet library ladies from my hometown. Thank you so much for all you do Rebecca! 💖

Oh my goodness, this brought back so many fond memories of growing up in the 70's, riding our bikes all around town and usually winding up at the library...my brother and I were huge bookworms! I loved the way your "library" was old timey looking, like our childhood library. I used to love how refreshingly cool it was on a hot summer's day; and so peaceful and quiet. And visiting with the librarian, like you did in your video with your patrons. Today my library is all about speed and efficiency...the librarian scans our books, hands them back to us; and then the next one in line steps up. I miss the good ol' days. Thank you for bringing them back to us; if even for just an hour. I can't imagine how much work you put into it, Rebecca! So I thank you so much for it. I lived in a very rural area so we didn’t have a library to go to. Not a single store or shop. Our destination was the trout farm. A place to go fishing and buy fish bait and candy from an old wood shack. I was just telling my husband tonight that I have no youthful memories of libraries. All of my knowledge comes from adulthood. I feel like I missed out. 🤷🏻♀️ 😂 🤫 Don’t tell anyone. 😂

Wow I always wondered how exactly the libraries cover them with plastic. Awesome video. And usually I watch no talking but the whispering is perfect. Some people's whisper is too "spitty", but your whisper is just right 👌🙏. I wish I could make a request too but I know you probably have a lot on your hands already

I really appreciate that! You are so kind. This is what you call a soft-spoken video. My whisper is probably a lot different than this. But if you’re listening without headphones then it probably comes across as a whisper. I have never been able to relate or relax to videos with peoples faces so I don’t do them. But for a request I was willing to try. I am a bit camera shy but only because I am getting old! 😭 😂😂😂

I have loved soft spoken asmr for years. This is Gold for me! Your voice and your energy and the sounds and book covers… brilliant. I listen every day and relax quickly ( not normal for me) and fall asleep great. I have it casting on my TV in the dark family room and I feel my body turn into mush.. in a good way!

I appreciate that you took the time to comment on this video, Kris. The encouragement is wonderful. I don’t have a lot of childhood memories about the library but I have a lot from my adulthood. My earliest memories of books and dust jacket come from my kindergarten teacher at story time. I always loved the way she turned the pages and moved the book around for every child to see the illustrations. That’s when I fell in love with books. 😍

Hello there, Miss Rebecca’s face! This was a neat change. As someone who is also extremely camera shy, I know what it took for you to do this. And I know, for whatever reason, people just go insane over face-showing videos but I also know that you prefer not to do them, and I totally respect that. Not because I don’t enjoy seeing your face and not because you’re not an absolutely stunning lady, but because I understand why you prefer to do videos not involving your face. And I love to watch the kinds of content you like to make because it does lend itself better to the nostalgia factor. And as a bonus, I can see the task better when the focus is on your hands. The handling of the books and such, if that makes any sense. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this, and showing your sweet face lended itself very well to the subject matter of the video. I like the mix of facial shots and close up shots too. Well done as always! I know that was a wordy comment.
