Oooh the frozen food buffet looks so fun. So many things to mix and match and the price is not bad, especially if you like to have some alcohol with your meals.
Was just in Japan for the first time (got back yesterday) and it really broadened my horizons of what ramen can be! Like the wide noodles with your tsukemen for example, I had something similar at a place in Tokyo that was FANTASTIC but I'd never seen ramen with noodles like that in the USA. Going to make a note of some of the places you went for my next trip to Japan :)

I think he’s said in the past he usually doesn’t post anything he doesn’t enjoy or hates in order to avoid hurting a small business or something; hence why w certain fast food places if he genuinely doesn’t like it he’ll voice that since it doesn’t affect them much. Let me tell you why. Mike Chen has preivously said that if he doesn't like the food he eats or the place he goes to, he will not post it. The reason is that he knows that businesses even small business work so hard and doing their best to get going, so he does not want ruin their business with his video. Although, things can't be the same when he reviews fast food, that is a different story.
Mike, you always make me hungry.💦 Maybe I must go to my fridge and microwave a frozen pasta for myself right now. ☺ Although, the frozen food buffet look fun to try I don't think I can eat so much at a time, so it may not be good deal for me. If you have access to a microwave at yor hotel or somewhere, you should go to a supermarket or a convenience store and look for their frozen food section.
Seeing the criticisms and me now seeing it in your vids just feel lazy at this point is just honestly sad.. Then again I usually use your vids as a white noise while I am eating so it was hard to tell but damn just noticing it now.. I guess these vids are moreso just for people who only watch as they eat
Claw machines are programmed to only retain a full grip a certain number of plays, so you need to position correctly and have that lucky play. Total scam machines!
By definition is not a scam since it's possible to win but yeah I understand but Japan has like the best spend to win ratio on a lot of big arcades I've watched lots of videos of ppl doing tricks and stuff to get prices on the first or second try
On the surface, this is a unique and fun idea. In reality, the owners win, time is, wasted playing the claw machines. Time is used hearing up the food, on average, 5 min. So if you have 10 meals, that's 50 min gone already. Plus eating time. Nevertheless, a neat idea.
WOW!!! Ren-Tin Shokudo frozen food buffet is like heaven for a single man. I absolutely love Asian food, mostly Korean. I like Japanese food as well, so long as I can avoid seafood, which I do not care for. As you might imagine, that is a challenge. I shop at H-Mart rather often since I am blessed to live near a city that has five locations in the metro area; as well as three locations of Namdaemun, another Korean market. I definitely hit the frozen foods section since I can get everything I want for an awesome Korean (or Chinese) dinner heated up within minutes; and of absolutely superior quality. I can fill a cart with Korean and Japanese ramyeon. Finding a buffet with that selection is just fantastic, especially with the adult beverages available. I'd get my money's worth in those two hours. Mike, how you manage to eat the quantity you do amazes me. You must spend twice the time in the gym than you do eating. lol I only recently found your channel and I find that I enjoy every bit of it (even if I cringe at all the seafood you love.) Keep up the good work and thank you for entertaining us and letting us travel the word vicariously through you!
I think I accidentally passed through there on my recent trip to Osaka. It's near to a Starbucks in one of the shopping streets, right? I was looking for food courts, so I went down the escalator, but it was just a large room full of tables & seating (no people) so I turned around & exited quickly. Now that I understand more about it, I wish I'd stayed... although my stomach was off the entire trip which pretty much frustrated my food adventure.
_Watching Mikey open the fridge that isn't fogged over in the slightest to film the contents distresses part of me for some reason._ That being said, ramen and frozen foods...after vending machine foods and not long ago being convenience store foods... not to include stuff off camera and on the second channel.. I know these channels aren't exactly the paragon of health but I'm getting a little concerned about the amount of sodium intake of these storage foods over quite a short amount of time.
Personal experience of mine, as I'm growing older, I just stop trying too much. If a job can be done prefectly well with minimum effort, I will just do that lol.
Very attractive price but I don't think many people can eat too much as every selection comes with starchy or carbo as main dish, these are the ingredients that make one full easily.
@@Jeeky88 The place probably struggled to stay in business with not many repeat customers. There's just so many food options in Dotombori (and better quality than microwave foods IMHO). The frozen foods from the buffet are all available from most convenience stores & supermarket. It's cheaper and you can eat at leisurely pace.

Usually I love this guys videos, have been watching for years - but lately the editing feels very lazy, like re-using the same clip five times in just as many minutes, and while I have nothing against the big compilation videos and shorter videos, they show it just as much - im not sure what is going on but its kinda sad to see the quality decline - I hope you are doing alright
Can you do USA Walmart frozen foods? When I eat them, it's always 98% bad for me. Only good thing is the stouffer lasagna and banquet bbq rib. Everything else sucks. 🤷♂️😂😂

It's tsukemen, and it's basically a type of ramen where the noodles are dipped in the broth. The dipping broth has a higher concentration of flavor and is usually thicker in consistency.

The second food hits your mouth, you rate it. Let the food actually sit in before you say something, while you’re eating pizza the second it hit your mouth you say it’s so good
